Busch Gardens Tampa Bay (BGT Discussion Thread)

p. 375: Phoenix Rising family inverted coaster announced for 2024!

Recommended Posts

I headed to the park today for my first time in three years, and not much has changed, but Jungala is neat for the kids, and Sheikra is a lot more fun floorless. Gwazi is not much better than I remembered it being, even with the new trains.

You didn't notice a difference in Gwazi because you hadn't ridden it in 3 years,3 years ago I enjoyed riding it.Before they closed it for the refurb and new trains the ride was getting to the point were you were lucky if you didn't break a rib on it,it just wasn't fun at all to ride, after 1 ride I was done riding it for the day.I rode it last month and sure it vibrates like a normal wood coaster but you can actually enjoy the ride,I could have stayed on it all day.

Hm. Sounds like the park went ahead with their plan to replace the wheels with squares, half-circles, and triangles immediately after I got my dozen or so blissfully pure rides (with PTC trains) on it this past November.

There is another great update on LINK REMOVED. Check out this LINK REMOVED. What's up with the support to nowhere? It looked Photoshopped at first, but is it for the track down in the trench? Is there a better pic out there that I am missing?

Those trains look sweet!! And the coaster don't look too shabby either!

We're trying to plan a trip down there to hit up the park, and I'm really crossing my fingers that it pans out. As soon as we left Busch Gardens Europe last summer, I turned to my wife and said "we MUST get to the other Busch Gardens in Tampa, post haste!" She whole-heartedly agreed.

So because of the poles at the ends, this possibly will be a patio seating area.

So here is the only change to the change to the wire. I'm no rocket scientist, but I think a change that small won't ruin everything like everyone is fussing about, IMO. :p
