DarkStitch626
Personally though it gave a classic touch to Six Flags Great Adventure. I would have to say Rotting Lumber aka Rolling Thunder. That thing in the last few years of my rides hurt me worse than Viper did. Considering I can ride Viper 46 times solo not getting off. I have a high pain tolerance threshold. austinlee
Pony Express at Knott's. I find it slow, boring and almost pointless. It is the only coaster I have ever rode in which my first thought when it was over was that I didn't enjoy it.
winningfreak
This is an easy one. Â Superman at SFMM! Â Â I hate the damn ride! The line is REALLY slow moving, it costs a lot to maintain, consumes more power than anything else in the park, annoys EVERYONE in the park at the same time every 5 minutes it launches. and last but not least just isnt what it use to be! rcdb still has the ride listed at 100 MPH but when I asked the ride op he told me they only run it at 75 now... disney4me2001
Flashback at SFoT!! I defintely avoid riding it. I wish they would send it to the scrapheap!! Â Are all Six Flags coasters named "Flashback" doomed to be rough and uncomfortable rides? Case in point: the (now demolished) Flashback at SFMM... austinlee
It seems that way. I sure won't miss the one at SFMM. I stopped riding it a very short time after it opened due to the horrible headaches it gave me.

AWill961
I wish Superman: The Escape at SFMM could be torn down. I hate this ride. What makes me mad is my friends like it and every time we go they want to ride the ride... so I have to WASTE an 30 minutes to an hour of my SF day on this POS ride. Â I will admit that the park would look weird with it gone, down, but it is EXTREMELY LAME. I don't feel anything riding this ride... the acceleration is HORRIBLE, and the drop sucks. I would feel different if they did this ride backwards... then I could enjoy the drop at least.
coreysjunk
A lot of valid answers in here. Â re: Revolution. I agree that its' historic significance should warrant its continued operation. It is, however, one of the rides I generally skip when going to SFMM. Additionally, it has been modified so much from its original design (trim brakes galore; OTS restraints) that it really isn't the ride it used to be anyway. PERHAPS SFMM could re-build it in the same general configuration with newer track/trains and smoother transitions while keeping cetain pieces (THE LOOP OF COURSE) from the original ala Steel Phantom / Phantom's Revenge. Â I couldn't care less if I ever rode Revolution again, but it would suck to see it torn out. Â Â re: Superman:TE It does pretty much suck and really should probably be replaced with something better AND with better capacity. Even if they just replaced it with a similar intamin launch ride it would be a great improvement.
austinlee
Agreed about Revolution. I still ride it once or twice on most visits but mostly for nostalgic reasons and only if the line is short enough. I do not like it nearly as much as I did before the modifications. There are too many brakes now and too much headbanging on the OTSR's. That being said I would miss it to some extent if it was removed. Maybe I'm in the minority about Superman: TE, but I still like it.
winningfreak
Flashback at SFoT!! I defintely avoid riding it. I wish they would send it to the scrapheap!! Â Are all Six Flags coasters named "Flashback" doomed to be rough and uncomfortable rides? Case in point: the (now demolished) Flashback at SFMM... Â at the Six Flags parks Flashback is general the name given to the Vekoma looping coasters, and it's really sad that most of these compact coasters didn't age well. Â I do have to say I am quite impressed that the Boomerang at KBF is was much smoother than the Boomerang at SFFT and it's 9 years older! So it might be a maintenance deal. 10ryansmith
The one that I would HAVE to burn would be SOB because of the fact that I have to experience it twice a year. My sister is the stupid one of the family and wants to ride it (and shes 11or 12) and i'm the one that gets forced onto it. It's to rough and there is not point to it anymore. Burn it and build something along the lines of El Toro or Thunderhead. The "father" needs some work too. Â Mean Streak was good when its not braked to hell. There are some points in it that you get great ejector and some nice floater. I have always thought that the ride needed to have something done to it and not torn down. Â Also, one of the most wasted space that I have found would have to be were Disaster Transport sits. I know that it is indoor and is cool, but I would rather go see one of the shows than ride this thing.

I'm serious  ^Perhaps we could spare these coasters the ignomy of complete destruction, tear them down but relocate them to Australia - we have no wood coasters or B & M.  Revolution isn't too bad, the OTSR's are the killer.  Zamperla Volares should be melted down and never seen again, these things even look like a torture device - I'd expect to see one in one of those SAW movies. My back is still giving me spasms from it! (But I would do it again!)
Chroniq
Rolling Thunder at SFGA. I arrived at the park around noon with the sun high in the sky and assumed rolling thunder was just a shadow caused by El Toro.

I agree with you man. Flying Coaster at Elitch's was absolutely terrible when it operated. It's been closed for so long that people have forgotten about it at the park. Last time I was there I overheard someone asking an employee about it and the employee had no clue about what the ride was or anything. The park is in desperate need for any kind of new somewhat major ride that could replace it. Â There's a few other coasters that all equally need to come down for their own separate reasons. Not going to name anything I have not ridden yet. Kong, Mean Streak, Hurler (KD), Superman (SFMM), Pony Express

BkkMan13
I live in Colorado so i have to say Twister II. Ive ridden it twice (mostly because I moved her not too long ago) It had no airtime, also i couldn't feel almost any speed while riding it. And luckily I heard they were going to tear it down. almightyfire
I dont believe in tearing down ANY coasters. I just wish they keep them running and just buy more space and add on. There isnt one coaster that I have been on that was soooo bad that i thought it needed tearing down. Now I have been on a lot that I think "ummm, WHY?"
