Fun Forest is coming down

Washington - (12/21/09) Sad times for Seattle area locals as the old Fun Forest rides and attractions are now being taken down and removed. The Windstorm coaster is already coming down to prepare it for a trip to a new home somewhere in Texas while the bumper cars and kiddieland will remain through to Labor Day 2010 before being removed.

 

Sad to see Fun Forest go. Unfortunately their lease with the city of Seattle has ended. I'm happy for all of you including myself who have gotten the two coaster credits before that place closes for good.

So Windstorm is going to Texas, I wonder if it is going to Joyland as a replacement for Greezed Lightning since they could not build it?

Ah, I see. Well, if nothing else it would be a pretty solid ride for a smaller park.

I was hoping that Playland would step up and buy it when it was being listed for sale on Ital. It's a shame they didn't because it would have been a nice coaster for them that's close by too.
