Intimidator 305 - KD 2010 [NL]

Recommended Posts

Yeah before I start I want to introduce myself. I'm A113, and I've pretty much been lurking and roaming the site for 3-4 years now, but never got to joining. Nothing more to that really.

I started recreating the ride essentially when it was announced for fun, and I think I have it pretty good. The track length is narrowed down to 5102 ft in my editor, just a couple feet longer than the proposed length of the ride. Recreating the ride pretty much gave me the idea of how beastly this thing will be, and I expect many people to black out on this ride

Enough of me, here are the pics:

As of now the track is 100% Done, Supporting is 5% Done, and the theming is going to be produced as the ride itself at Virginia keeps erecting, so this is gonna kinda be a long-termish project. As of now my computer is really messed up, so don't expect any progress made on this sucker for another couple weeks until I get a new computer.

it looks really nice, but you need to remove some of the connections between the two spines, it's just a bit to many of them.

You got the distance between them right near the track-support connections, but in the middle between two support connections there are to many of them, see here what I mean: Intimidator 305 at RCDB

You also need to fix the "zig-zag" on the top/bottom sides on the lift-hill supports, like on: Intimidator 305 at RCDB

Other then that it looks really good, and I can't wait to see more...

Is cool and stuuf but its already getting old to see this type of thing, last week alone we've seen 3 of these rides already so sorry to say its quite a shame for putting a lot of work and quality into something that already looks dated a bit

Nevertheless it looks very good and I applaude you on having the patience I haven't got

I agree. Everyone has decided to build a coaster like this and now it is just old. Yours looks good, but its nothing special any more. These coasters are becoming to common! Regardless, keep up the good work.

I've only seen 4, this I305, KrazyT's, some guy's name I forgot and mine. How can a coaster get old after only 4 rides?

On top of this, this is the first recreation of it, and therefore can't be old. That's like saying recreating Intimidator is old because there are countless amounts of B&M hypers made in NL.

Good work A113, it's looking damn sexy

By reading all of these replies, you're all telling me you're illiterate. I'm pretty sure I stated in the first post I started this WHEN I305 WAS ANNOUNCED and I did just barely joined the site. It may be new to you, but it definitely is older than most of the Gigas already posted in this forum section.

And thanks Atem and moose

Sorry, I had to

But yeah, I can vouch for A113 that he did start this right away...and the layout is pretty damn accurate (of course I havent been able to test it or anything, that'd be silly)

  • 2 weeks later...

^^I've ridden the real one. This recreation is pretty accurate.

^He said that his computer wasn't working and that it would be awhile before we see anything new. In the mean time, just keep oogleing over how great it looks right now.

On a side note, I'm really sick of coasters with tube supports. It has been overdone. I think we should be creative and use toothpicks and playdoh.

Thanks everyone. As I mentioned earlier, I will be uploading the video to YouTube Friday, and to several exchange sites Sunday; however, just because I'm nice, I'm putting the track package up for download here Friday .
