RayReyes
I'm going to the park for the first time this August, and I'm super excited for Endeavor! I love enterprises, so this really seems awesome! You'r first time?, Awesome! You won't be let down by them and their rides, but I do have some pointers -Steeplechase and Power Surge have more maintenance and they occasionally close down -Better to get food from the local shops around the park, or Smorgasburg (Don't know if I spelled it right) - Wristbands are the key to maximum fun - And last but not least, if you visit the park, your butt must be on the cyclone Has anyone ridden Endeavor when it was testing it to the public? I was lucky enough to ride it and it's worth it

I Like Theme Parks.
I'm going to build a border wall around Luna Park and make Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park pay for it.
thrillrider
I'm going to build a border wall around Luna Park and make Deno's Wonder Wheel Amusement Park pay for it. Nrthwnd
^ Ooooo you got one of those? I rode a few of these, over the course of a few TPR Tours overseas, and definitely this first one in Japan, was truly awesome. Many flips over, and I rode it 6 times in a row, I remember! I just loved it. Hope you guys do, too. My very first, the Paratrooper at Hamanako Pal Pal park, Japan. TPR 2007 Japan Tour. The latest one I rode, at Rutsutsu Resort Park, in Japan. I didn't flip on this one. )o: TPR 2013 Japan Tour. (Taken by my David) Edited April 15, 2016 by Nrthwnd

Jcoaster
Went to the park on Saturday, couldn't get up pictures till this morning so enjoy ya'll. Quick Rundown: Cyclone was its usually awesome self, Thunderbolt...Once you learn how to ride it is a very very good ride with a crazy layout, the Volare was a Volare and Steeplechase is a lot of fun. Ride Count: Cyclone 3x Thunderbolt 2x Volare torture device 1x Steeplechase 1x Cyclone when walking from the Aquarium Thunderbolt doing its thing Those poor souls Spiral lift hill of doom Cyclone panoramic from the street Bring on the pain baby Really love the layout, its crazy forceful One of the more interesting train designs out there Classic trains Lift porn for those who enjoy that sort of thing NYC street meat, cause you haven't really been to NY till you've had it Steepleschase Ft. viking86
Nice pictures, thanks for sharing! Love the artwork in the front of the Cyclone train. Volare may not be a good ride, but I always thought the lift concept was brilliant! It's so simple, just a rotating tower with no need for either chain or anti-rollbacks. I don't know if it's cost saving compared to a normal chain lift though, considering the more complicated trackwork required, but I love the simplicity of it. Jcoaster
^ Yes I agree. We actually talked about that Saturday before we rode it. The spiral lift hill is ingenious..
njcoasterguy34
I actually enjoyed Soaring Eagle when I rode it a couple summers ago. I didn't find it painful at all. I also like the spiral lift, but it would only work for coasters with single cars, not trains.
Genx24
^ While last year Soaring Eagle was running well for a Volare, this year it was really rough. Not as rough as the one at Rye Playland, but still pretty bad.

coneyislandchris
At the park today with my kiddo for the final day of the Groupon redemption, and neither WindstarZ nor Endeavor are open. WindstarZ is actually still in the process of being reassembled, while Endeavor appears to be complete but access is blocked off. I wonder what the deal is. Ride Count: Cyclone 3x Thunderbolt 2x Volare torture device 1x Steeplechase 1x So I take it Thunderbolt is still super rattly? That's such a shame, it's got such a fantastic layout. The only cool thing for me about the Volare besides the lifthill was that it's the only type of coaster where you're ACTUALLY lying down, and not sitting in a seat facing down. But that didn't make me feel like I was flying, it made me feel like I laid down on a massage table and then got hoisted into the air and flung around instead of a massage. RayReyes
I was at Coney yesterday for the beach and I snapped a few photo on the amphitheater, it seems to be almost done with construction. Also the Child's restaurant is looking good as well. And if you're coming on the path where it's between Scream Zone and Endeavor/Thunderbolt area, you'll see something being developed there, I asked what's going to be there but the crew only said that they're only doing cement work and have no clue what's going to be there in the future. And Also! (A lot of developing news it seems) The scrambler at Deno's is no longer there, it's being replaced by a 5-D interactive shooter game (Source http://www.theconeyislandblog.com/?p=3199), and while looking for the source, a new SUPER SIZE arcade is coming, and will be located on Surf ave W. 8th st! That is all I have to report, now excuse me, my hands need a massage from typing all the the infos The mysterious land The mysterious land pt 2 The Wonder of Wheels Child's Restaurant What's going on here? Maybe a SUPER SIZE Arcade? Hmmmmmmm? The almighty Jump! The restaurant facade The Restaurant in progress The flash! No, it's the theatre Great shot of the development A tree A cat inside awww /)^3^( The Amphitheatre still in progress Yup (I'm running out of witty things) A better shot the the development The future stage The effort it took on NOT trying to look like a perv while taking a photo of this new women's bathroom Don't worry, there's a men's restroom as well Another cat, their eyes will haunt you Awww And Lastly! Another facade of the Restaurant
Myntiepwny
Does anyone know whether the B&B carousel still has a ring machine? I had looked it up on Wikipedia (the list of ring machines there has not failed me before) and visited it last night. There was no visible ring machine. Is it only brought out on special occasions? Did they get rid of it when it was moved? I like getting "ring machine credits" when I visit places like this, and I already have been to Nunley's. The brassring arm was never installed after the restoration. On Wikipedia, it states this underneath the "old" location chart
