BeemerBoy
Here's the short version of how the day went. We got there when the park opened. The tickets were free thanks to Shannon's cousin Todd saving enough MyCoke Rewards points (also thanks to refreshing Coca Cola, of course). It was cool outside. The park was dead until about 3ish. Many walk-ons and re-rides were had. We had lunch. I started to contract swine flu (or so it seemed anyway). I wasn't feeling very "rollercoastery" for the last couple hours. The park began to fill up a bit. We left around 6pm. It was a good day, and I didn't even have to use my AK (remember, this is SFOG, and that wouldn't be out of the ordinary). Picture pages, picture pages.... "Nooooooo!!!" Thanks for reading. And if I don't have a phone on me? What are the chances the Baja Men have blown through their money by now? If you know why Vincent Vega would be amazed by this, post it here.......and then email Dan too. There are coasters in this picture. One was guilty of giving me a headache. The other is painted Miami Dolphins colors. If I end up with lice, then this picture was a poor choice. But while we're at it, hello Derek, and Big Mike. "@*% you, Mr. Six." And hello, Colin as well. The thing runs on veggie oil now. Honestly, it stunk though. Hello Matt, Dan, and other train dorks. There will ALWAYS be room for the best Batmobile in my trip reports from here. THE RIDE!!!!! HAIR PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! POV!!! White hood? Listen lady, the days of Monster PLANTATION are over, okay? WIN. Ride the Monster MANSION or die. Note to Six Flags: trying to be "PC" only makes people talk about your lame attempt even more. Just sayin'. Hi, Rick! I see lost parents all the time. I guess I need to start directing them here. Batman is pissed that someone hacked TPR. I'm also willing to kick some @*% over it. They also become blurry when shot with a loaner camera. People in Georgia bleed burnt orange. Random park photo. How many uses are there, really? Meanwhile, I found the true "magic seat" on this piece of @*%#. Shannon and Todd "enjoying" a front row ride on the Cyclone. As mentioned in the TPR Hoodie thread, TPR Hoodies keep you safe from Intamin cables. If you don't have one, don't blame me when you lose a limb, or worse. These steps are not tacky looking. No, not at all. "Hi, Big Mike." Hanson cars POV!!!!!!!!!!! ....this. (Photo: Loefet) When I close my eyes, this becomes...... One of these things is Ferrari-like. The other is not. Current Bumper Car Champion of the World. I know the former is out there somewhere! OMG, "sitting in the station of GASM front row POV" !!!!! And it's dry. Would it hurt you to find some decent programming while you're up there? Seriously, how much could I pay you to not play the Black Eyed @*%ing Peas every other song? Oh, I get it. Um, okay. It's Halloween time. Therefore, things get Halloweeny and stuff. Walk-on. Technically, you walk on to every ride though. "S" is for Scott.....and nothing else. Okay, sexy too. Bathroom attempt number three: Success!! Well @*%, that's just terrific. Hello, nerd! Thunder River isn't quite as intimidating as I remember it. Hey guys, we miss you! Bathroom attempt number two: Fail. Evidently no one felt like opening the ladies room at this location. The men's, however, was free to conduct your business in. The response from random Six Flags employee when asked why the ladies room was locked, "Um, I don't know." Okay, thanks. Car. Coaster. Proof that Shannon was angry at operations. First bathroom attempt: Fail. Apparently there was no running water in the ladies room? Um, okay. Proof that the park was empty for the first four hours or so. Sponsored by Jackie Treehorn. They didn't have any extra skulls they could use this season. Lockers, lockers, lockers, lockers, lockers, lockers, lockers, lockers. Lockers. The state, not the country in the Caucasus region of Eurasia.

moinab
Time to get your picture pages, time to get your crayons and your pencils! (I immediately started singing that without thinking - it was Pavlovian! ) Yeah for Big Lebowski references! Don't know the Pulp Fiction one, though. angelcat
Hey, Joe! It is darker than its natural color right now, but it's been dark for a while. After a couple of months, the color washes out, and it's back to light (or lighter) brownish-red. Sometimes I dye it dark to get the red out of it. The nasty, nasty sun conspires with mother nature to make me a red-headed step-child. Scariest thing of the day at SFOG: The food prices! Note to basketball fans: price of the basketball shooting game has gone down.
BeemerBoy
^ Wait a minute, who is that? The yellow coaster is in the front of the park. Zach, and Maureen, thanks! Funny how comments aren't subject to word filters I know, right? However, it still somehow works....I think. I hope Scott P kicks your A$$ in bumper cars one day Never. Did Shan die her hair darker? Sorry... stalker moment Fixed. Also, Hi, Rich! (I forgot again during the carousel portion of the show)

TheRapidsNerd
Thunder River isn't quite as intimidating as I remember it. It happens to every man some time in his life. Ah Beemer TRs are always a fun read. Thank you for the pictures and you have definitely 1-uped me in the Rick shout-outs. And welcome angelcat, good to see you on here! Glad you all had a nice day. Moose
Wow, those M&M stairs... did they not realize a graphic designed to line up on straight stairs wouldn't work on stairs with a radius. It looks horrendous and a bit nauseating. Nice update (as usual).
Hikaru-chan
Great report! By the way, I can so beat you, so called "Bumper Car Champion of the World."

ParkTrips
Great report!By the way, I can so beat you, so called "Bumper Car Champion of the World." I don't know, Scott is pretty competitive, I'm sure he'd be up to the challenge (and it would have to be on GOOD bumper cars, not those)

ernierocker
Well, you got a Big Lebowski reference, (and a brilliant one at that!) so I'd say this was another sucessful PTR from you!
CorkscrewFoley
Beemer Boy, I got the Pulp Fiction ref. Vincent Vega ordered a five dollar shake, and the shakes at SFoG were 7.99$. Therefore they must be better than the five dollar shakes.
BeemerBoy
^ This is correct, sort of. Actually, Mia Wallace ordered the shake, but you're close enough. Vincent was still amazed by the price, as was I by a freakin' $8.00 one at Six Flags! For $8.00, I better be sitting across from Mia Wallace at Jackrabbit Slim's...and Buddy Holly himself better come back from the dead to serve it to me. Coaster Palooza
Nice TR Scott! I don't remember that smashed penny machine. I like the photo outside of the taco place. I'm glad that SFOG isn't flooded anymore.
