Ride The Texas Giant for a year, Could You do it?

So while waiting in line last weekend at SFOT, I learned that there is this dude who rides the Texas Giant every day. Apparently he has done this since the ride opened this year and is the first and last one to ride everyday.

 

So my question is, Could/Would you do that? I mean that's a lot of riding!

It would really depend on where you sit to get the less painful ride.... I prefer sitting in the very front... I don't find it to be as bad as sitting towards the back. Back there it feels like the trains have square wheels..

This is a very misleading topic title. It makes it sound like the guy actually sat on the coaster and rode it non stop for a year.

But if he just rides a few times a day, that's doable.

 

I've never been on the Texas Giant, so I can't say if I can or not, but there's other coasters I'd try.

Seriously though, this isn't a big deal. I know several people who are at Carowinds pretty much every single day during the season, and most of them will come ride the same ride once or more each time they are there. This is very plausible and actually a semi-normal occurrence.

No. After a while it gets boring. I would love to ride a different coaster every day!

Yea, maybe if I wanted to be on disability for the rest of my life from all the abuse that coaster dishes out!!

I think everyone is misunderstanding the statement. The guy is the first one on and last one on and technically that is 2 times a day. Anyone can do that. I doubt that he is riding all day everyday.

Yup, and I'm pretty sure it's Gordon. He's a cool guy and I remember him well from opening year of the Giant, and from 1995 when I 'interned' there.

I went back to the park yesterday to find this person. I never did run into him, however I was told he was at the ride just minutes earlier. Anyways, according to the employees at the Texas Giant his name is Mike. They claim he has ridden the ride over 1400 times this year. I did the math and that's like 7 or 8 rides rides a day!

I think I could handle it, with a few bruises here and there. But then again, I'm one of those people who didn't find Texas Giant THAT bad... (I didn't ride in the back, I rode like 3rd or 4th row from the back)
