memphish Posted August 4, 2005 Share Posted August 4, 2005 I ended up being told I was going to Florida today, so here at 3:22 AM I am in Ft. Walton Beach. Since I've already made it this far, I think I should push it a little more and go down to Tampa....only 6.5 more hours. Anyway, the tentative plan is to drive down there Saturday, BGT Sunday, and head back up here to San Destin Monday. If anyone is in the area, I'm down for catching a few rides on Sheikra. Galaxy Spin wasn't open last Friday, but the water park *is* open. The double slide complex should be open this weekend. memphish Posted August 8, 2005 Author Share Posted August 8, 2005 Juat got back from BGT and Carrabas. Had a great time today; crowds weren't very large, and got a lot of rides on Sheikra. Sheikra's line was around 90 minutes today, but they got a single rider queue which was the tits. I never waited more than 15 minutes. Here's a few photos. I put all of them I took today up, but they have only been batch resized. I'll work on editing them when I get back home. rest are at the album above. Awsome ride + Dual train loading + Single rider queue = teh rox0r I risked death and bruised shins to take this picture in the splash zone....Kids do love that water. That's alot of water. Shakira is the tits. Oh so is Sheikra. Horny cattle Why isn't this New Belgium Gardens Tampa so I can get Fat Tire at the Hospitality House? Rhinos. Yep Embrace the G's Scorpion. coasters 4 me Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 The single rider line was there when I was there about 4 weeks ago. I hate it, the Normal line is way quicker. They only take single rider if there are spaces in the train. And I noticed that Montu broke down 2 times on the lift. First time, a siren went off. Second time, I dont know what happened, someone went through the queue with a bucket of sand and then went up the lift. Anyway, Nice TR. Really like the photos.
