Big Mike
Hey Zach! Glad to see you had a fun time, you were a really cool dude! Some excellent pictures my friend. I did get a little pissed off reading it though as I had visited there a few years ago and saw the Texas Rangers stadium from the parking lot and I had NO CLUE that the Cowboys stadium was right behind it! UGHHHHHHHHH I take pictures of all the NFL stadiums I visit and never found that one. I am a damn retard Peace, Big Mike

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Cowboys' stadium is pretty new. So it might not have been there when you visited last? I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure people were saying that was the NEW Cowboys stadium. I'll wait for someone else to clarify! -Zach
Big Mike
OK, phew! I was wondering how I could have missed a whole huge stadium like that! I retract being a retard now Peace, Big mike

Can't wait to see what you thought of Krypton Coaster and the log flume at Fiesta Texas. I'll get back up to KI sometime and see ya soon! -James Dillaman
PKI Jizzman
Okay! Day 2: AWESOME walk back to Mr. Freeze; watched morning test runs, and got a few rides before the public. We left around 12, got some Mickey D's ....and headed to Kemah! With a stop at iT'Z on the way for tasty pizza and a credit. Over all, I loved SFOT. I think it was my favorite park! The landscaping in the park was very, very pretty. The rides were great! I loved Titan, Runaway Mtn, La Vibora, Freeze, SHOCKWAVE, and most of the flats and water rides. Operations were running pretty well from what I remember. Only negative I could think of is that the combo tower was on the weak side. Oh well! Thanks for a great time! Giovani approves! Sorry if my spelling is off! Station shot! My favorite of the day! Very, very fast ride. Blurrrrrr TPR take over! Very, very, very compact. It was VERY rough at night. I liked it, but it was a pain to ride...wasn't impressed. Too bad it didn't run as good as it looked that night! Oooo....so pretty! TPR has gone crazy with the margaritas waiting for Boardwalk Bullet to open! Across the midway Pretty ferris wheel! Waiting an hour or so for the train....but they stopped operating due to the storm. Such a pretty looking coaster. Right next to the Gulf Coast! High tide? Aviator! See? Pretty sign! It's storming....doesn't appear to be open.. Such a nice first drop. Traveling in styleeeee I see a train! 59 SECONDS, RECORD IT! Hey, we made it! Bridge similar to one in Charleston and Savannah. I like it! STOP THE BUS!!!!! I'm an angry refinery.....GIVE ME ALL YOUR OIL!!!! Houston! Lots of big buildings. Some tried to sleep in ANY position possible! (that's a head Gary! ) On the bus! Coaster DVDs, South Park, Family Guy, Yo Gabba Gabba, and all sorts of crazyness.

Wes
Awesome shots dude! But how come everytime I see a picture of the Bullet now, I get random pains in my body and I try to brace myself in my desk chair? That damn ride has left me mentally and physically damaged. But how come everytime I see a picture of the Bullet now, I get random pains in my body and I try to brace myself in my desk chair? That damn ride has left me mentally and physically damaged. Did you ride in the morning? It was soooo much better. Oh, my review: I liked Boardwalk Bullet. I think it has some work needed to be done on it..well, okay, a LOT. There's quite a few rough spots on the ride, and when I say rough, I mean I can't tollerate it. That's pretty bad if I say that. BUT! I was able to ride numerous times with my hands up the whole time. There was some fun airtime, and I enjoyed the compact layout.
jamesdillaman
^ For those who don't know.... Zach used to like Son of Beast, so if he says it's rough, he knows what he's talking about... -James Dillaman
DBru
Awesome PTR so far, Zach! I never realized how huge of a park SFOT is; it looks like SFStL on a much grander scale. But if Shockwave is really better than Mind Bender...I better be getting myself to Texas! Overall, do you think the trip was worth what you paid for it? (I'd love to go on one, but don't know if it would be worth the money...)
Wood Dragon 1988
I can imagine it was sucking it up for ya'll...when I rode in March when it reopened it was smooth as glass and a really good ride. However, I went back in April and it was already super rough again. I bet it is now horrible in July...they need Timberliners bad. As always, absolutely amazing photos as always. I want your camera! Lolz if those fabled traines that have carried zero passengers so far can fix that thing, I will bow to Gravity Group's awesomeness.
VegasCoaster
Not that I went to Kemah with TPR, but I went a week or two before hand and thought that Boardwalk Bullet was fine. It rained for 5 minutes or so right before I got on and it was a pretty hot day, but it seemed fine. It threw you around quite a bit don't get me wrong, but it was definitely tolerable. No where near Psyclone or Son of Beast in my opinion, but then again with wood a lot can change.

PKI Jizzman
DAY 3!!! Kemah in the morning, SFFT in the afternoon/evening. GIVE ME YOUR FINGERS! Hooligans! Overview of the area Aw, he just wants a TPR name tag lanyard! Hi, I'm a human. What are you? Get back to Carowinds! This isn't North Carolina! OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM Stingray orgy! CRIKEY! Touch me, you die. BECAUSE I'M A POISONOUS DART FROG! Lots and lots of fish. This place had a better exhibit than SeaWorld! Sad to say... Aquarium tour! That's right Luko, HOLD ON FOR YOUR LIFE. Oddly enough, it was running so well, I put my hands up the WHOLE ride! It was great! ....don't get me confused with the other guy. Group waiting for it to open. Who's going to ride? Testing. Do you hear those clicks?! That means it's under 70 SECONDS!!!!! ......it'll be decent. Good morning Boardwalk Bullet!
almightyfire
Do you all really think that it is the train that is making the ride rough on BB and if so why dont they change them?
PKI Jizzman
More Kemah! That's all for the park. This part was a lot of fun. Bye bye Kemah! and then that sick nasty turn New batch of people! Crazy messed up first drop. Coming around. Flying all around.. See! There is fun to be had on this ride. First drop. I like this. Liven up flowers! fun fun fun fun fun I enjoyed that first drop. Hey Bullet's running with a half full train! Everyone was very interested in how Kemah got turned around so quickly. Mighty Putty! That's the trick! No, lunch was amazing. The stuffed chicken was sooooooooo good. and the presentation was very well put together. I need to recharge now. Oh face! Bigger than the average tower. There's only one thing to make you late for lunch....and it's this amazing ARM...whatever, sex tower. OMG Kemah is a very pretty boardwalk. I was very impressed. It felt kind of, "Downtown Disney" to me.
GuruGuys
The Bullet is just plain temperamental. I thought it ran much better the night before the morning, others thought it ran better in the morning. I think the only thing that can be agreed on is that the front seat is your safest bet, and the back three rows are less painful than the middle rows. I rarely sit in the middle rows anymore. The drop tower is just awesome, a great addition to the park. Very nice pics in this trip report, and yes it did run under 70 seconds the entire time TPR was there -GG
GuruGuys
Did TPR ever make it to SeaWorld San Antonio and Schlitterbahn? This and the other Texas trip reports I saw all seem to end at Kemah? Was the rest of the trip that bad? What I should have posted originally... Did rain or any other unforeseen events put a damper on the rest of the trip past Kemah? I've not seen any other Texas Trip reports which make it past this point.... Sorry to everyone, AGAIN, for the confusion. -GG

Then real life has a way of coming in and stealing all your time and motivation.
JFrombaugh
I actually thought Boardwalk Bullet was a really awesome coaster (although my sig could have told you that ) and not as rough as some of the other woodies I've been on (Texas Giant, Rattler, Son of Beast), so if it's the worst GG woodie, I REALLY need to get on another one. Also, that Aquarium restaurant at Kemah is so cool, brings back so many memories... Nice TR of my "home" parks! I do hope to go on a TPR trip next year. I have run out of excuses for not going on one.
