Busch Gardens Williamsburg (BGW BGE) Discussion Thread

P. 456: Information about Christmas Town 2021!

Recommended Posts

Just got an email from Groupon that is featuring a deal @ BGW. You can purchase a BGW one day admission for $38.50 (half price) that is valid for admission March 20 - June 26, 2016. The deal allows you to purchase up to 10 one-day admissions. This is a great deal for anyone coming from out of the area and stopping at BGW for a day.

That sounds great but whenever I go to Busch Gardens though I always feel like I should drink Budweiser. I feel like a dick drinking anything else, lol.

I feel the same way. The Budweiser taste way crisper there its beautiful.

Life is too short to waste time drinking swill.

^Even though that particular beer is now owned and brewed by a Belgian company?

Personally, I'll go with the true "American made" beers. They come from local microbreweries. But to each his or her own.

I know all too well about the buyout, it was a sad day.

I love my craft beers as I base many of my weekend trips around craft beer festivals. As I said before I even have been brewing my own. I just dropped a few hundred on some better equipment to produce much more at a time. If all works out you'll see my label at Busch Gardens

It could also be a wing coaster, since it is a flexible idea for the park.

It absolutely will not be a wing coaster. If you look at the blueprints posted back you can see there is a trench in the diagram. A regular B&M 4-across car wouldn't fit through that, much less a wing coaster which is more than twice as wide.

What? No Angry Orchard?

I bet a lot of people are going to be pissed that there is no Coors Light either!

Me? I'm looking at trying out this one...surprised you didn't notice this one right away, Guy!

Is that a beer or a porn site?

X 100!

(Not to mention wasted calories! If I'm going to expand my waistline, it had better be with substantive beer! )

Just imagining asking the bar tender "May I try a lickinghole please?" Or "one large lickinghole please!"

Already guessing much time will be spent at the craft beer has this season, and also thrilled to see the Octoberfest is returning in the Fall!

Looks like BGW will be getting their first ever wood coaster, a GCI, using leftover parts from Gwazi.

I heard they are using parts of Drachen Fire and Big Bad Wolf as well. Looks like they are creating some sort of....FrankenCoaster.

In all seriousness, I've seen a few leaks that this will indeed be a wooden coaster. I'm thinking Gravity Group with those trains I posted a few pages back.

I would probably feel awkward and gently whisper "Ummm...I'd like one Lickinghole, please" to the bartender and then he would holler at the top of his lungs: "One request for a Lickinghole Till Sunset for this gentleman standing right here in front of me!"

I would definitely do the Oktoberfest again if we can make it down that way...it was a lot of fun last year!

Since I think it's not well looked upon to discuss (or post links from) other sites, I will say I just saw a well known BGW fan site tweet that the new ride is from GCI. Don't know the veracity of the tweet. If true, a wooden coaster make sense for that particular area of the park.

Not all sites--just some sites in particular.
