thrillrideseeker
So I go to the park like everyday, but never do a TR. I think its about time so here it goes! Lines... From the time the park opened till the time the park closed EVERYTHING had at least a 45 minute wait. Maverick had a full que, and a line that was extending past entrance. MF had a full que, as well as Dragster, Sky Hawk, Raptor, Wicked Twister, Max Air, Top Thrill Dragster, Demon Drop, Blue Streak, Mean Streak, Power Tower had almost a full que on the blue side, not so much on the red side! It was a walk on! Operation... Everything was up and running, and with as many trains as possible. Maverick, and Dragster both had a unusually high amount of down time. Mean Streak went down a few times as well. Photos... ~Matthew Ok... one last photo!! I love this photo!! See?! It was sooo busy =( Get off da ride! *gasp* I want my backyard to look like this!! Oh wait... It does! I HATE this ride... Cover your ears... Brace yourself... Blech... Webcam! Cock anyone? Vroom...ish! Pretty!! "I love it Fat" Do you now? Yes... here The "Family Dryer" put five bucks in, and it will "Blow you way." They need to go to the "Family Dryer" Those poor people. Up up and away! ARMS DOWN! VROOM! The BEST part of the ride... IMO. The other half of the line... Half the line... No matter how far away you get it still looks GIANT! Train... Wheres Ride Op? Yep... Its still up there, and the ride host is "Interacting with the guest." Oh no... Next... It still looks super huge! Ohhhhh... why did they have to use the coat hanger approach? Who does not have this photo? Pretty! Its so... BIG! YES! Its back, and no... Its not working yet. Notice anything new?! OMG! Their faces! Priceless! A bit blurry, but oh well! Mantits! Vroom? Time for some more Dragster! Ebay? *Shakes Head* ... Next. At least no one threw up! Oh... Yay... MaxBlah. Yes row 15 is the best, but every now and then you just need to ride in the front! "A boat? Hey I have seen a boat it went this way... follow me!" Not up... Up... Hmmmm... Blah... This denied line... and the poor ride was not even open yet. And this is why employees get hit by coasters. Mind you the mechanic was standing there WHILE trains were flying pst him at 120 mph. *sighs* Epic Fail. Is this Diamondback? Power Tower began its morning testing! First stop... Dragster. The time was about 9:05 am, and it opened at 10:00 am, but I had to be first in line! If this were a video you would see that Raptor was lift stopped for block testing. What a way to start the day, no video to watch.

sfmmrules!
Cedar Point looks so awsome. Although there are a couple coasters to skip: Corkscrew(already went on the Valley Fair version) & Disaster Transport. Cedar Point should turn it into something like Space Mountain,Rock N Roller or Revenge Of The Mummy. I hope to get there someday. Demon Drop is still operating? I love those first generation freefalls. I went on the Edge only once at CGA(PGA then) during it's last season in 1995. I hope to get on Demon Drop before it gets taken out. CreditCrazy
Great pictures. You're lucky to have Cedar Point in your backyard.
thrillrideseeker
Great pictures. You're lucky to have Cedar Point in your backyard. Having Cedar Point so close has it's perks, and its Disadvantages. The good things are... Its like a 2 minute drive to the park... I can see Dragster from my bedroom window. The not so good... the traffic makes it take forever to get to work. But thats about it! I love having CP so close!!~Matthew

Could he have been adjusting (aiming) it at the trains? I would assume you would have to have the trains flying by to ensure that the radar is pointed in the right direction. He acutally was adjusting the radar, but it did no good =( I still just think it is super unsafe for him to be that close to the trains... But they have to do what they have to do.~Matthew
99er
Agreed but in this scenario, it would be hard to "not know" when a train is being launched. Especially when his purpose for being up there (as far as we know) was to aim the radar. He basically HAS to be watching the train as its launched in order to do that. Not exactly like walking under Dueling Dragons and not paying attention to the track above you
