August Burns Red is my favorite band. I really don't know why, I'm not a serious die-hard metalhead or anything, but I really like this band's instrumentals, lyrics, and vocals.

Other favorites are Skillet, Black Veil Brides, Breaking Benjamin, Bullet for my Valentine, Casting Crowns, Red, Thousand Foot Krutch, Motionless in White (creatures era only, NOT infamous era) and System of a Down.

Right now there is a tie for my #1 band between the Zac Brown Band and Yellowcard. I can go from listening to Yellowcard for an hour straight and then ZBB and then back to YC. My music taste changes multiple times in a day

My other favorite bands are:

Bon Jovi

New Found Glory

Maroon 5

Fall Out Boy

Green Day

^I either like, LOVE, or occasionally tolerate every one of those bands.

Last time I threw out a name as a favorite, it was Foreigner, but I'm not claiming any official favorites for now. Currently I am hungrily jumping between a variety of artists in the expansive realm of late 60s-early 90s hard rock.

Hanoi Rocks.

Awesomely catchy 80s glam rock. Inspired by Ramones, the Clash, Chuck Berry-style 50s and 60s rock 'n' roll, and various 70s glam stars. I discovered them through hair metal, but it doesn't matter whether you love or hate that style. They're definitely a completely different form of rock, but you can tell that they influenced later bands.

For glam, I also love New York Dolls, Slade, and Mott the Hoople. For hair metalz I especially love Cinderella, not to mention standards Motley Crue and Guns 'n' Roses.

Slayer

Hatebreed

Between the buried and me

The black dahlia murder.

Just to name a few. I like that of the few posts I've browsed in this thread that I see some others into metal here.
