Our official Day One - DIXIELAND!!!

Ok, so Dixieland isn't a big park by any means, but this place is a TON 'O FUN!

It's like "perfect family entertainment center." There's a great indoor area for birthday parties, games, kids play area and a great arcade.

Outside you've got a pretty insane Miler medium-sized coaster, an AWESOME zipline attraction (and yes it's included), an S&S Screaming Swing (also included!), and lots of other flats.

It's one of those parks where you can either go grab the credit and be done in 20 minutes or you can go with a good group and have an awesome time!

Photos and stuff...

Those big shaboozies dont look too legal...ah who cares? It blows up!!!

Dixieland looks pretty great, and if that miler coaster is anything like hi miler at the L.A county fair, I know what kind of extreme ejector air those things give

LOL, when I saw the update picture on the homepage I was like "OMG, thats a huge bug on KT" and then I realized she was drinking a bottle and I was confused why she was so calm, this makes much more sense, lol. If I was a baby and that have been a real spider I would have run away, and probably hit myself with the bottle with the bottle trying to get the spider. Bugs+bottles+KT-awesome.

^I know that the ride's layout is not like Hi Miler, sorry if I wasnt clear, what I meant to ask is if it had the pretty darn crazy ejection points that Hi Miler had. (My airtime opinion on Hi Miler may be off since I rode it before becoming an enthusiast and having more riding experience)

^That Miler looks like the one that was removed from Playland in Reno. Which was nothing like the "Hi-Miler".

Anyone know for sure??

Great start. Keep it up.

JJ

When looking at those pictures, that coaster looks like it was in Reno, because I remember riding a coaster exactly like it with the same trains. So I think it is. And it wasn't Playland, it was from Wild Island. Playland had this really ghetto coaster that you see at those traveling carny places.

That's the first Screaming Swing (or, in this case, Scream 'N' Swing) with only one arm. But still looks like its packed with S&S awesomeness. And that Miler coaster looks crazy - I didn't know Miler built coasters on that big a scale - or at least used their kiddie-coaster trains on the bigger coasters.

Yay for the Hot Shots reference. The great thing about small and/or non-megaconglomerate parks, imo, is their capacity to be both eclectic and full of surprises.

Looking forward to the rest of the TR

Oooh! Dixieland Funpark's coaster is a lot of fun!. I went about a year and a half ago and the park was free admission (you payed for each ride with tickets that you purchased). I guess they changed to charging an admission price and not charging per ride?

Great TR!

Yes it does! This little coaster reminds me a lot of Hi Miler. Got that same wicked tight turns and come-out-of-nowhere ejector airtime.

And yeah I've been wearing Sketchers for about 10 years now. Not a Nike fan at all. Totally over rated and very over priced for basically a Payless shoestore shoe.

We are at Dollywiod today. Has a backstage tour of mystery mine which totally rocked!

Amen! I'm an Addidas fan myself!

When I saw the coaster right away I thought of Jack Rabbit at Celebration City. Is the ride like that coaster in anyway?

Same company, Miler. Famous for kiddie coasters. On their larger ones, sharp drops and little to no banking on the corners!!

I've always found the larger Milers to be a lot of fun.
