Vonni
Wow, this is getting pretty interesting, I can honestly say I'm more exited for this than I was for thunderbird. What would be funny (and cruel) though would be if Ed was taking pieces of TT off to make the enthusiasts Rock hard. And then just get some bulldozers and knock the whole thing down, while watching all the enthusiasts dreams get crushed. But then the option for a ground up RMC would be more probable, so still a win!

lbeeler
^I doubt they even know all the details. Even if they are all in the know, they wouldn't just blurt it out to just anyone. Are you sure it wasn't the Dippin' Dots guy with a fake uniform on? positive this is a very reliable source.

chickenbowl
Today?! Well time to put in that final guess then! IBox makeover (therefore making it completely steel) of one side of the track. I'm guessing 3 inversions, one being a Medusa-like first drop! No racing or dueling.

aaron88stang
This is the only thing regarding the announcement I have been able to find. It is very vague and does not say exactly when the announcement is coming...Has any body else seen something more concrete they can share? http://www.wlky.com/entertainment/kentucky-kingdom-to-add-new-roller-coaster/34251070
CoasterCard
That's all I can find as well, but if that is the name, I like it. The Thunder/Lightning theme carries throughout. Hopefully we get more details later today. *I just read that again... $15M!!!!!!! If that number is correct, holy cow....
kcurry11
That third paragraph is weird. "Wood and Steel, but not a hybrid."?
chickenbowl
Storm Chaser for $15 mill? Sounds cool to me! It's funny the whole park has the Lightning, Thunder, Storm theme going on now!
SFOGdude25
Storm Chaser is a great name! Although it gives me sort of a Power Rangers vibe haha. Can't wait to see details!
grsupercity
I like the name. Reminded me of Storm runner at first. After I let it set in, Storm Chaser grew on me. Lets see that layout now!
aaron88stang
The article has been updated...It didn't give the name or any details before.

DonkeysWaffles
I found the teaser video. Huh? So it's still a wooden coaster and only one track now?
PKI Jizzman
I was about to suggest how the "Zego G Downdrop" would be a really attractive view from outside the park... looks good if that's the real deal.
A.J.
Ah, good old NoLimits 1. Takes me back. I understand that Rocky Mountain is working with the old ride's footprint which is fine, but the whole thing looks like it just meanders about. It looks like it will have a mix of more sustained airtime hills as well as the quick jerks that Wicked Cyclone has. Pretty fun!
Projektion
^It's actually NL2 I take it one side of the twins is getting torn down completely then, or is there still a second part to this announcement for the other side

JonnyRCT3
^It's actually NL2 Fooled me. That makes two of us. I'll have to take a trip down there next year when I visit Kings Island. Also, is this a hybrid or just topper track? Edited July 20, 2015 by JonnyRCT3
Mrlittle
It looks good and I like the name. Kind of an odd announcement, figured the park would of posted something by now.
grsupercity
The stall, the roll drop, the off axis airtime hill, and that corkturn I guess ill be going to this park again sooner then I expected!
