glouthan 0
"Smoothest coaster I have ever ridden!" That is certainly a good sign! Can't wait for this!
ScreaminNewEngland 2
Those leg restraints look annoying, hopefully the other chance versions of this that pop up wont have them. But that ride looks amazing!
KyKingdomMike 0
I don't see a big deal with the leg restraints, they're just there to keep your shin from hitting the lap bar frame. Mike and Dick Chance legs ain't really touching them in the video, just there as a precaution.
KingRCT3 0
Anne, from Irvine Ondrey Engineering (those in charge of the electrical aspect of Lightning Run), tested the ride and here is her review : it's in my top ten now. You come into the brake run wide eyed and open mouthed because it's relentless, suprising, and intense to the very end. Absolutely breathtaking. Seriously. Not just saying that because it's our client, this is the coaster geek in me talking here. -Anne
prozach626 82
LR looks like it never lets up! It almost reminds me of a steel GCI.
rcjp 0
Looks pretty wild (especially after seeing the rider cam). Nice!
thrillerman1 1
LR looks like it never lets up! It almost reminds me of a steel GCI. I really thought the same thing as well but hopefully with more intensity and airtime.
Jakizle 9
LR looks like it never lets up! It almost reminds me of a steel GCI. Except it has airtime.

AusCoasterFan 0
Does anyone else think this has a very wooden-coaster sort of layout? The layout kind of reminds me of some of the GCI and Gravity Group twisty woodies...

Top Thrill Dragster 0
Whoa! This looks fantastic! I have a feeling Chance will be selling a lot of theses.
simon8899 0
Some transitions look a lil jerky for my taste - hope the see some reports from riders soon, hope I am wrong!
Her0ofLime 0
This is like if Arrow and Intamin had a baby! Looks awesome, can't wait to hear how it is from people here!
Devins3 0
I think one of these would fit in quite nicely at The Great Escape or Lake Compounce. Looks amazing.
robbalvey 85
If anyone is going to the Kentucky Kingdom preview days, please be sure to tweet photos @themeparkreview so we can share!
boldikus 106
It looks like a mini version of an old Arrow, but looks fun for sure.
PAL 0
Those leg restraints look annoying, hopefully the other chance versions of this that pop up wont have them. But that ride looks amazing! I don't see a maximum rider height listed on the KK page, but I am concerned. Outlaw Run was almost unbearable for my 6-5 son. He's all legs. The shin restraint was like a bear trap. The coaster is a masterpiece but he couldn't enjoy it. I realize that he's taller than 99 percent of the population, and no manufacturer can accommodate all body types. However, since then we are wary of lap bars with shin guards.
Midgetman82 0
Passed by the park on my way to the airport and saw people in line for Deep Water Dive.
mdwarn01 0
^The park is open today for Amazon employees and select coaster clubs. I am a bit surprised that there are people at the water park today though since it is as cool as it is.
Midgetman82 0
I know that. I'm just starting it since I'm just as surprised as you. Then again, Holiday World's water park has been operating since yesterday as well. I'm also really glad to see rides operating from afar again, including the Ferris Wheel. LogBur 0
Not really getting the comparisons to old arrow designs aside from maybe the basic track shape. This looks like a well-engineered modern coaster with quick, yet smooth transitions.
mudvayneimn 1
Unfortunately didn't get to attend today as planned. Onto next week for the official opening, hopefully we get a few reviews showing up a little later.
LogBur 0
Does anyone have a beat on discounted tickets to the park? Gonna visit the Sunday after HoliWood Nights and $39.95 seems just a bit steep as I'll be skipping the water park. I'll scour the web but figured some here have already looked.
