Rollercoaster Rider
Water slides are a lot easier to move to another location when it comes time to build a casino. dt They could put in like portable carnival rides, they're easy to move as well! For some reason, I don't see Ed trying this hard just to put in portable Carnival rides. One document I read awhile ago showed a Wooden Warrior like coaster. lilsam1993
Carnival Ride? Aha that's funny. Ed Hart is not that type of guy. I could however see maybe a kiddie type carnival ride though or scrambler. Other than that the only rides you will see is Huss Rides, Zamperla Rides, and maybe a S&S ride. Yes, I'm sure they will add a Huss Jump 2 to the park....because a Huss Jump 2 is a flat ride that all the parks just fighting each other to get. Factory can't make enough of them.... I can't see Ed doing any business with Intamin, or I can't see Intamin wanting to do any business with Kentucky Kingdom. Remember what happened to the last and only Intamin ride that was in the park SMH. But this is Ed Hart and not Six Flags. But I can see a Jump 2 being added to the park. That ride is unique and you can't find it anywhere else unless you go to Canada (I believe). I could see it being located at Skycoasters former location. But what I see being added before a Jump 2 is a Zamperla Air Race.
Midgetman82
Go to anybody who's a regular to Canada's Wonderland and ask them about Sledgehammer. Guarantee they'll tell you it's always having down-time. That, and the machine itself is massive. It takes up a huge amount of space for a ride that's not entirely "fulfilling," unfortunately. (Can't think of any other words. ) I know Ed's a big fan of having unique, and even first-of-a-kind rides, but for practical purposes I'd vote yes on the Air Race before something like Jump2 as well. Meh, just my opinion I guess. Still supporting my home park however I can, even though things still look a bit risky and shady; especially with the State Fair Board. dj snow
A Huss Jump 2 would nicely fill the "weird-ass ride that never works" role left open when the Quake was removed.
larrygator
^^Those regulars of Canada'a Wonderland will also tell you that Sledgehammer is not as thrilling ride as it looks.

Ed Hart's plan has always been to add marketable attractions you couldn't find in the region (Vampire, Quake, T2, Hellevator, Chang (*), Mile High Falls (*)) and a Huss Giant Jump 2 would fit the bill. At least to me it would. Also, When I was at Canada's Wonderland for 2 days in July; The ride had no downtime, The only ride that did was Dragon Fire. Yes I went on it and found it one of the better flat rides I've been on. That and an S&S Screaming Swings are my top 2 flat rides.
SoCalCoasters
Jump^2s are not terribly reliable, plus they have a very large footprint. Unique yes...Reliable and likely? No.
lilsam1993
Jump^2s are not terribly reliable, plus they have a very large footprint. Unique yes...Reliable and likely? No. There is only one Jump 2, and that is a prototype I do believe. When the quake was added in 1992, it was the first Waikiki Wave ever created. Another Waikiki Wave ride was added to Dreamland in Austrillia sometime after that. From what I know, it's still in operation today with no problems. Was Timber Tower at Dollywood a Prototype? What about Delirium at Kings Island?
Midgetman82
True, but there were other prototypes by HUSS that never made it. For example, the first version of the Jump rides. They were clunkier, and they ran at certain fairs in Europe, according to some YouTube videos I've watched. Now they're nowhere to be found. There's also HUSS's Giant Top Spins, which I was lucky enough to ride at Kings Island as The Crypt before they had it removed. Wasn't very thrilling then, and was apparently too thrilling right after they changed it from Tomb Raider. Also, those Timber Towers have been giving parks problems in other countries as well, from what I've heard. -M "needs to give real sources instead of saying I heard from the internet."

Jew
It's not tourism tax credits he's waiting for. He has 90 days to line up $25+ in loans in order to be eligible for the credits.

Midgetman82
Hehe, the State Fair had two of those the last time I was there in 2011. Their attempt at making up for the loss of the park. I forget, what happened to that money that was given to them by the Galt House downtown and the hotels surrounding the park when they first tried opening it?
