Midgetman82
Small update...? Small update. Ran by the park today (7th). Faced some pretty heavy traffic which kinda ruined the panorama, but I cropped the cars out. The construction site was live with workers working on the drop and barrel roll section. Coming out of the nearly-inverted overbank towards my direction. Some trackwork int he distance, and a live construction site. ... what?! The hill following the overbank. Close-up! The station supports and roof is red, the gates are black. Airtime! The overbank after the airtime hill! Area after the overbank. Overbank from across the street. The station from afar. Lastly, track progress.
KBrylczyk
Ah, yes, that's the new RMC element. They call it the "Schitzengiggel" because, well, they throw the extra twist in for fun.
SFOGdude25
I'm kinda surprised at how much of the steel structure is staying around the overbank. I thought they would strip more of it away, but then again they may take more down later. We'll see.

The Half-Sideways-Almost-Upside-Down-Back-Step-Non-Inverting-But-Kind-Of-Inverting-Turn. Really though... I can't figure out what is going on in this picture. Midgetman82
^It's not really new, I remember seeing that element listed on RCDB. Here: Spoilers: html edits are fun

Is there like a really strong sideways pop of ejector air leading into that turn? Upward wave turn that twists into an inversion? It looks so awkward I think the angle of the pic is throwing me off though, and it's not really as harsh as it seems.

mudvayneimn
There's no real air hill in that spot, just a very abrupt rise and rotation into the element. I'm probably misunderstanding what you're referring to but on the chance that I'm actually on the right track, I think the horizontal beam is what is giving that impression. It's not actually a separate support but apart of the inclined one. Any opportunity to draw colored lines on a photo in paint....gotta take it! Edit: After looking at my handy colored line work I see what you're talking about. Great photo update by the way Midgetman82, thanks! KingRCT3
He's talking about sideway airtime during the rolling transition, and I get where he gets that feeling.
mudvayneimn
Yeah I caught what he was talking about right after I posted. To me it seemed normal when I drove by the other day, but there's not a lot of time to judge when you're behind the wheel. Maybe Midgetman82 can chime in since he got a good look? This looks absolutely bonkers!
KingRCT3
Anwyays the rails will come soon enough and then we'll see how it is shaped. ^ Darn, could this possibly be the RMC with the most large airtime hills? If you refer back to the video at the 0:30 mark, it had funky banking action at the valley between the airtime hill and overbank: Also, the Kentucky Kingdom website updated with a possible concept of the ride's train. Personally, I think this might be one of the most vibrant RMC's built (as well as Joker).

KingRCT3
Trains are simple, but cool! Also, despite how awful the rendering video is, I think we can totally trust it shaping-wise. I had a feeling they took the data straight from the manufacturer (we can feel that funky banking at the bottom of the first drop on the animation also), and Kentucky Kingdom confirmed me that they received it from Rocky Mountain Construction. jtd0826
The picture of the train has no shin guards! I would love for that to be true. I hate them on Lightning Run because I close to being too tall to ride...

I hate them on Lightning Run because I close to being too tall to ride... That's just an older version of the trains. All of the RMC trains currently will have shin bars. It's part of what makes these trains safe.
