Louise
Ugh!! I never saw Raymond, but Boyle was in a whole bunch of movies I liked as a kid (still do, in fact), not to mention one of my favourite X-Files episodes! Great actor, hilarious. What a shame. cfc
He was also great in Taxi Driver as a sort-of friend to Robert DeNiro. But my favorite Boyle moment is from Young Frankenstein: The blind hermit (Gene Hackman) has just smashed Boyle's mug of wine in an overly enthusiastic toast. Boyle frowns and looks up to heaven in complete and utter frustration, kind of like Jackie Gleason in The Honeymooners. It's the best moment in a very funny movie. ebl
With the whole Watergate scandal, Gerald Ford was handed quite a mess to deal with upon taking the office of President of the United States. Having been around in those days (I was in high school then), I think Ford handled everything as best as he could. The man had class. Eric
the sound
I told my dad this and he said: "You mean the american president that would fall over if he was walking and chewing gum at the same time?"
AndrewCT
They say "It comes in three" when you hear about the death of someone well known. And yes, Gerald Ford will be missed. He was a great President, considering how he came to that position of being President, and how he dealt with the mess.
