Nrthwnd
omg Lisa Marie Presley just passed away. And she was just shown at the Golden Globes back on Tuesday, when Austin Butler thanked her and Priscilla Presley, as part of his Golden Globe win speech, for portraying Elvis, in the movie "Elvis". Sad.
CaptainUnknown
^Did she though? She probably got tired of all the shullbit on Earth and went to join her father on whatever planet he's from.
Nrthwnd
For those of us who remember her.... Gina Lollobrigida, legendary screen star of early Italian and U.S. films. Age 95.
Nrthwnd
Melinda Dillon, who was Mother Parker in "A Christmas Story"... just passed away at age 83. But let's not forget her Oscar nominated turns in "Close Encounters of The Third Kind," and "Absence of Malice". A great actress.
Nrthwnd
Burt Bacharach, just passed away, at age 94. He was a big part of my life, musically. From the Broadway musical "Promises,Promises" (based on the film "The Apartment."); his soundtrack to "Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid;" launching Dionne Warwick's career... and on and on. Nrthwnd
Raquel Welch just passed away, at age 82. Apart from all the movies and television she did, she actually did some Broadway turns, too. She replaced Lauren Bacall in "Woman of The Year" (which I got to see her in, in October of 1982), and replacing Julie Andrews, in the stage version of "Victor/Victoria", later on. RIP Raquel. You are/were "One in A Million (Years BC)" Raquel and "the boys" in "Woman of The Year", 1981-82.

CaptainUnknown
Lance Reddick passed on Friday at the age of 60. I wonder if it's too late at this point to include a memorial card for him with John Wick Chapter 4 in theaters this coming Friday.

CaptainUnknown
Tina Turner passed this morning at 83. Didn't realize she was that old.
bert425
83 isn't really that "old" she was actually younger (by a good 5-7 years) thank I thought.
Nrthwnd
I'm so glad she was a part of the creation of her Bio-Musical, "Tina". Right up to when the actor portraying her, won The TONY for the part. She was an amazing performer. Got to see her - experience her - on two different tours. With Ike, and then on her own with the (what I call) "What's Love Tour." Awesome performer she was.
Nrthwnd
Richard Moll, age 80, original cast member of "Night Court". Richard was the tallest cast member of "Night Court." Also, with the least hair of the cast, lol. RIP "Bull."

Nrthwnd
Chita Rivera, age 91. I was so lucky to see her live on stage not once, but three times! She came to Vancouver during a late 1960's Festival, playing Charity in the tour "Sweet Charity." Then I saw her in 1976 in New York, as the original Velma Kelly in the original run of "Chicago." And then, after she had won the Tony for her role in "Kiss of The Spider Woman," she toured with the show - which I find most original Broadway leads never do - and I saw her twice when she was here with the show. She also was the original Anita in the original cast of "West Side Story." One of a kind she was. Bless her for blessing us with her talent and charm. prozach626
Everyone in the original Godzilla... My daughter is obsessed with Godzilla right now, so I was thinking about this the other day. I like some old movies too, so sometimes I stop and realize that none of those people are alive anymore.
michaellynn4
Funnily enough, I get that way, too. For some reason I do it with animals more. Every time I see someone petting a cat in an older movie I immediately default to remembering that cat is long gone by now.
