DiSab
The "Big Man" is gone? I hadn't heard--that is sad. Yeah, he died from complications of a stroke he suffered last week. Extremely sad, and a huge loss for the music community.
BeemerBoy
I just read some more about Ryan Dunn's death. I shouldn't have been so harsh on the previous page. The whole thing really is a shame.......about the Porsche. I mean, it just got some nice looking new wheels back in March. So sad.
ginzo
^It all Roger Ebert's fault apparently that this idiot drunkenly drove his Porsche at 130 MPH into some trees at 3 AM.
Band-Aid
No, Roger Ebert joked about his death, Bam saw it and it made him angry. I would probably react the same way if someone mocked my best friend's death.

BeemerBoy
^^ If your best friend dies doing something incredibly stupid, then the line to mock him starts with me.
Wes
No, Roger Ebert joked about his death, Bam saw it and it made him angry. I would probably react the same way if someone mocked my best friend's death. How is "Friends don't let jackasses drink and drive" a joke or mocking? It's the truth. Band-Aid
Well, we're not even sure if he was drunk. According to an interview with April Margera (someone close to him), she says that he was not a heavy drinker, but he was a speeder. He may not have been drunk at the time, but he was probably speeding. Yes, what he did was stupid. I just don't think it's right to mock the death of anybody. BeemerBoy
^ We're talking about a guy who got paid tremendous amounts of money to get mocked for basically everything he did. Why should his death (which was probably preventable) be any different?
Band-Aid
Morally, I just don't think it's right to mock anybody's death. That's all.
ginzo
^Ebert wasn't mocking his death. While it may take weeks for a tox screen to come back, the guy closed down a bar on a Sunday night and posted a picture of himself drinking online. It's not an unreasonable assumption that alcohol was a factor in this crash.
Wes
Well, we're not even sure if he was drunk. Is "twice the legal limit" drunk?
Band-Aid
Well, we're not even sure if he was drunk. Is "twice the legal limit" drunk? I posted that before the report even came out, so it would be hard to say whether or not he was drunk earlier.
BeemerBoy
Seriously, this really pisses me off. Why couldn't he have just left me the keys to the car, lit himself on fire, and jumped off a cliff (and at least had the decency to record it for his adoring fans)????? Ugh, the selfishness of some people.

Ugh, the selfishness of some people. It's good to see that there are still decent people out there, Scott. That is very noble of you to have offered to take care of his Porsche for him. Well, we're not even sure if he was drunk. Is "twice the legal limit" drunk? I posted that before the report even came out, so it would be hard to say whether or not he was drunk earlier. Except for the tons of other evidence that he was obviously drunk before he got into that car. The tox screen was just a formality. Band-Aid
^You still can't be 100% sure he was drunk without a toxicology test though. I never said he wasn't drunk, I was saying there was no way to be sure. Edited June 23, 2011 by Band-Aid

cfc
TV's greatest detective is dead: Peter "Columbo" Falk. I loved that show back in the 1970s.

B-RadG
Not surprised, she was living on borrowed time, even she knew that. It is a shame, however. She had such talent but squandered it.
