p. 513 - Wrath of Rakshasa dive coaster announced for 2025!

 This dude's a troll. Just let it go.

Right, facts = troll to people like you. Go complain some more about X2 b/c you're soft.

And let's look at the facts posted earlier:

Why the heck would you be hoping for that worthless piece of junk? It's literally the last flat ride anyone should want. The 5 SF Parks that didn't get them should be grateful. If SF wants that genre of ride, the Skywarp revealed at IAAPA is what they should get and it's only 2M

-5 SF parks do not have Superloops

- Skywarp was revealed at IAAPA and costs $2m

BRILLIANT!

P.S. Have you called Six Flags corporate with your "facts"? I don't think they are aware. I'm sure they will compensate you greatly for your insight!

SF depends on people so ill informed on rides that are hoping for a 1970's era carnival ride.

You're right! Have you submitted a resume to them? I'm sure they would love to have your experience at the helm of a company of their size!

I dont know why that person keeps compare the whole pop vs soda thing to the whole Larson Loop thing....Pop and Soda are the same thing where as a carnie ride and an actual roller coaster are not! The coaster thing is more of a marketing issue where as saying soda instead of pop is not....as its the same thing just different names. Im from Chicago so Im used to saying pop myself but if someone said soda I most likely wouldnt notice. If someone called a Loop or worse like that H3H3 guy called any form of amusement park ride a coaster,it makes them seem like they dont know much about amusement parks or roller coasters at all. Also nothing against Larson Loops as I actually enjoy them but its silly to call them "THE" new roller coaster of a park and also the fact actual coasters are far more fun! A lot of those people think any theme park ride is a coaster. It seems those people dont care about amusement parks much.

From now on I'm going to start referring to Larson Loops as coasters just to piss people off. Seriously, why would any sane person care what someone else chooses to call something? If you know it's not a coaster then what difference does it make if someone else calls it one?

Who cares?

- Directed more at storms and people like that than eugjackson. He's a lost cause.

I think its more cringe worthy to call lets say a magic carpet ride a roller coaster like H3H3 did....Magic carpet rides dont even have a track and stay in one place the whole time! Its like he doesnt know what a coaster is....usually people who lack THAT much knowledge about amusement parks probably dont care about or care for amusement parks...Like a stick in the mud lol. Im not angry about it I just think its cringe worthy. Just imagine this: "hurr-durr the Tilty World is my favorite Rollycoasterrr!" Believe there is people out there like that. In all honesty now that I look at the Larson Loop thing its not even the worse. The worst of the worst is when people call ANY amusement park ride a coaster. I have people in my family who do it too! (p.s i wish there was a "derp" emote) I'm just saying its amazing how much basic knowledge people lack! Im not talking about people who dont know if a coaster is an Intamin or B&M im talking about when someone doesnt know the difference between a merry-go-round and a Ferris wheel!!! Dont know the difference between a roller coaster or a roll-o-plane! etc etc.

  • 2 weeks later...

From Screamscape:

Park News - (1/25/17) An interesting new rumor was leaked to Screamscape this week regarding the future of the park's V2: Vertical Velocity coaster. While this is simply a rumor about a possible future plan for the park, please keep in mind that plans are always subject to change and that nothing is locked in at this point in time.

With that said, Screamscape has been told that there is a chance that Vertical Velocity could possibly be closed by the later half of 2017 to be removed and sent to another smaller Six Flags theme park in order to make room for whatever the park has in store for 2018. According to our source, there was actually a period of time that V2 was considered for removal in order to build Joker for 2017, but the location of those plans changed and allowed the coaster to stay in place... for now. So if you are a fan of Vertical Velocity, then I suggest you get all the rides you can when the park opens for the season, just in case.

I don't remember who, but someone on another forum first brought this up in August

EDIT: It was This user

Hey Great Escape is due for another used coaster...

The neighbors already complain about noise from the Alpine Bobsled which has led to completely asinine opening and closing times. Impulse coasters are some of the loudest coasters in existence so I don't really see that being a fit.

I think that SFA and SFSTL are the likely candidates for V2.

For SFA- it would be the 3rd hand me down in a row from sfgam.

For SFSTL- it would add to the skyline and local enthusiasts would be fine about getting an Intamin.

V2 is one of my most favorite coasters in this whole park. Send it to a park that need one

^ Considering the amount of room available in Gotham City, I don't think they'd have a hard time finding space

This.

I really don't want to have to go to SFA ever again, and I can go to Dorney to ride Possessed whenever I want, but I love these rides and think it would be a great addition to their (mostly) crappy line-up. More Intamins near me please!
