p. 513 - Wrath of Rakshasa dive coaster announced for 2025!

This won't set them back. Long stretches of this winter have felt more like an extended autumn. Any snowfall we've gotten this year is a light dusting compared to last year. I chuckle to myself when I think back to early fall when much fuss was made over how terrible this winter was supposed to be- "worst one in recent memory". Swing and a miss!

Love this picture! If this was Japan they'd be running the ride in those conditions!

Seriously though, did they pour all of the footers already? I thought that's the only thing that can really delay a project like this due to the ground freezing?

These are hearty midwest people, this is nothing!

^^ Yes, I am so grateful to have this wonderful winter ( I hate snow) But Chicago's north side got more than the south side which is a bad thing Lol. Also the snow will melt in no time and they'll continue construction like nothing happened .

Edit: Ha, I rember when they kept saying this will be the WORST winter....LOL FAIL !!!!!

I'm sure that's the first thing they get done after infilling for that very reason. Didn't I read somewhere that the footers extend 50-70 feet below ground?

Winter isn't over yet. March is usually when we get a nice dumping of snow at least in my part of the country.

I wouldn't be surprised if Chicagoland gets some snow in May this year to make up for the late start to winter. It happens every so often, and this just feels like a year ripe for it.

Well swarm at thorpe park has an inversion as a first drop identical to X Flight. G Force at drayton manor sort of has a weird chain lift/loop/first drop inversion thing. Also S&S Screaming Squirrels like Sequoia Adventure at Gardaland have a series of inverting drops. There are probably others I can't think of right now.

The SkyLoops and Abismo also come to mind. Plus, Hulk as mentioned above

I'm not sure if you lot have realised that the clearance envelope is on the track already. So far, it's still at the station but it appears testing may start, not so long after the track gets completed.

About a week and a half ago I saw it being used on the track right after the keyhole element where the train is completely upside down and flies through the boxy support, but I haven't seen it anywhere else besides the station.
