Moose
^ They continually told me to ride with my legs on either side of the seat in front of me. I figured it was so you wouldn't wonk your knee on the restraint box when the train hit the BROMS!
rollin_n_coastin
^Ah ok, so I wasn't doing the wrong thing afterall  Those BROMS certainly were intense...
larrygator
^ and ^^ I was never instructed on this proper leg placement position, but I did make up for it by partaking in the park's Taco Buffet for lunch.
Moose
^ Perhaps the ops were only saying it on one side of the train, or maybe they didn't bother telling those with short legs to ride that way. Â I was afraid that if I waited for the Taco buffet that I wouldnt have enough time to eat, so I ate at the poolside restaurant with Dave L & Josh. Â Â Â As far as the pic with Russ, Miles, and myself in it. Miles and I were checking out a really really hot dilf and while we were distracted, Russ appeared out of nowhere. Hanno caught the whole thing because Hanno is Hanno.
Six Flags Enthuseast
Does anyone have a link to the specs of this coaster? I'd like to see the speed and so on. Â I believe this is one of the webpages for the ride. However, it's all in Sweedish (or whatever language they speek, my bad if I'm wrong), so you'll have to translate it. www.sommarland.se/trananblog/
Six Flags Enthuseast
Â They could probably fit some kind of side mounted piece of metal that wouldn't effect the spring tension but would keep the idiots from going too far. That would keep everybody safe. Â What on earth are you talking about? Â Something like this..... Yellow= Plate Green=Mounts for the plate
lond
I was talking with the park manager guy and he said that the foam protection on the front of the first rider in the car is just temporary, S&S and Skara Sommarland is developing the new protections around the riders (like where the seat belts are) because there had been no time to develop it yet.  And you get more information if you speak the native language  // Marcus
coasterdude5
...I could see the US version having a huge cage over the tub to keep everyone inside. Visualizing that made me laugh. I picture it looking similar to the cage ride at Magic Mountain. Â The ride itself looks pretty insane. Is there any reason that there couldn't be two or more cars attached to increase capacity? I could even see the "canoes" widening in the future to fit two in a row. The whole concept seems pretty cool, it reminds me of that one ride concept a few years back where the car was separated from the track.
Rollerman87
It's kind of surprising that S&S hasn't improved in overall coaster quality. The idea is unique, but sounds like a total safety fail. Weird, since S&S owns Arrow, once a leader in coasters.
KrautWithAltitude
Thanks for the update! This is an awesome ride! Because it is whacky AND everyone loves it. The perfect crisis coaster! The world needs definitely more rides like this - small but unique. I always liked S&S since Dodonpa and all those weird coasters they dared to build (like that Squirrel coaster) no matter what their reputation among us experts might be. There´still so much whackyness to be explored in ride creations....  ->kwa

Nrthwnd
IKEA was overwhelming! Â And I bought absolutely nothing there, because... well.... once you start at IKEA, there's just no end to it LOL! Â And HUGE display floors with a cafe or restaurant on every floor, too. Food shop was pretty GI-normous, as well. Â Awesome place it was. But me no buy any stuff. Â (Actually I did pick up the in-store ordering form, the measuring tape AND the 'official' IKEA pencil, LOL! For "cheap souvenirs", yes? No?) robbalvey
Next up on our Scandi Tour was Grona Lund! Â This park was absolutely the SURPRISE HIT of the trip! I had seen pictures of the park, knew a bit about the ride selection, but I honestly had no idea how AMAZING this place was! Â It's like a little bit Blackpool, a little bit Tivoli Gardens, maybe even a little bit Knoebel's. Take the best of the family owned "traditional" parks, throw in a lot of European culture, some fantastic coasters and rides and you've got Grona Lund! Â The coasters are also equally as amazing. While no, you're not going to find the tallest and fastest here at Grona Lund, they do have some of the BEST in their class! Â The brand new Insane (Intamin Zac Spin) is absolutely appropriately named. The ride, is in fact... INSANE! This is the largest coaster of it's type in the world and I have to say it's easily one of the most intense roller coaster experiences I've ever had! Â The Wild Mouse is the 2nd best coaster of it's type in the world next to the one at Klotten (that one is going to be REALLY hard to beat!), and Jetline, the Schwarzkopf speed racer coaster, is also insanely fantastic! Even the custom designed Vekoma junior invert makes adults giddy with laughter! Â The park is fantastic, one of the best kept secrets in the theme park world...here are some photos to check out... Do you see it? I certainly do! Same. These guys just lost their manhood. Stand-up and tilting on the drop tower does this to you. Oh, yeah, did I mention they had a HUGE Intamin Drop tower...with a STAND UP side?!?!? Guys, I might suggest NOT putting your hands up if you want to keep them! Of course we are! You all read for more rides on Jetline? Yup...spaghetti! This Wild Mouse "bobsled" coaster is 2nd to the one at Klotten for the most insane Wild Mouse coaster in the world! And yeah the park is *RIGHT* on the water! "OH MY GOD!!!!" Just LOOK at how crazy that thing is! From the lift hill you can see the rest of the park and the surrounding town. It gets REALLY close to the Schwarzkopf! The Wild Mouse is seriously amazing. Can you tell which one is the Wild Mouse and which one is Jetline? "You are HERE...and now we are going for more ERT!" ...and what's in store for the future. ...a few ideas that didn't quite make it... ...even Thriller aka Zonga was once here... ...more rides that have moved on... ...a few rides that no longer exist... ...showed us what the park looked like in the early days... They told us all about the park history... The next day we were given a fantastic historical presentation about the park in one of the oldest buildings on property. Elissa: "What can I say, I'm wet with Intamin Love." Chuck "I'm going to KILL YOU!!!!" It did this to Olov. Robb isn't too sure what just happened. The Brits make funny faces. It did this to Elissa. Insane at night was totally as named! "Ok everyone try your INSANE faces for our INSANE ERT!" This was a seriously AMAZING Schwarzkopf! Time for a little bit of ERT on Jetline! The park has lots of lights everywhere. Sun sets on Stockholm and things are about to go insane! The chairswings right over the water was a nice touch! Very "Indiana Beach." KidTums knows how to pull everyone's strings. Oooh! We see you INSANE! We will get to you later! Everywhere you look the park has fantastic architecture. We loved it! "Daddy, can I borrow the car?" Hanno isn't used to the high speeds and intense G-Forces of the kiddie coaster. We had some time to spend in the park so that means...that's RIGHT! Credit whoring!!! Oh, yeah, did I mention we got some INSANE T-Shirts too? Steve...pace yourself man...pace yourself. We were welcomed to the park with beer, wine and food! What else could be better? Very Scandinavian...very European. Just beautiful! (And at night this park looks even BETTER!) The park's setting and landscaping was FANTASTIC! Hey look! It's the name of the park! Just in case you forgot.
robbalvey
More photos... Thanks to Mattias, Johan and everyone at Grona Lund for being a highlight of our Scandi Trip! TPR will be back soon! "Thank you Grona Lund for a FANTASTIC two days! Now let's go get drunk!" From the top deck of the ferry we all wave goodbye to Grona Lund! KidTums spent the next three hours squeegeeing the floor. "Hey check it out! Porthole room!" And now we board our ship to cross over to Finland! (Ok, so maybe this wasn't *quite* our ship...but our ferry was nice too!) Awww...how cute! And Ice Bat says thank you to this GIANT cotton candy for a great visit! Big Mike says thank you to Johan for a fantastic visit! "I LOVE naked boobies!!!" But move a little bit and TA-DA! HOT BOOBY NUDITY! Now obviously we can't show you the uncensored version (another reason why I *love* Europe) but if you want to see the uncensored version of this picture ... EMAIL DAN! mrt0ad13@aol.com Tell him "I want to see naked boobies!!!" This is easily the best attraction in the park! It's a Lenticular picture (a picture that changes depending on the angle you are looking at it) and this angle everything is nice and clothed... Everyone have fun tonight! It's custom made for the park, and really doesn't feel much like a "junior" coaster. We can't forget about the awesome Junior Vekoma Suspended! (Yes, I said awesome Vekoma!) Yay! Elissa got the HIGH SCORE of the day!!! (Seriously, she will OWN you in Whack - A - Log!") And the winner gets a pink hand! OK, everyone get ready to "Whack - A - Log!" "No, it's only about 100MPH!" "Does this slide go fast?" Jumpy. Jump. Jump. Jump....Jump. Watch out for ass burns on this conveyor slide thingy! Oooh....ahhh..... Grona Lund is also home to one of the most amazing fun houses in the world. KidTums coaster credit! Yeah, they let us into the room that makes Insane INSANE!!! COASTER NERD SHOT!!! We LOVED this coaster! Some of us even put it in our TOP TEN coasters in the world! This is going to kick my ass isn't it? Frame TWO! Which do you see clearer? Frame one... POV!!! POV!!! OMG! POV!!!! It does this to your hair. It was originally nicknamed the "Intamin Ball Coaster" because it looks like one of those toys you put a little ball in and it rolls down back and forth. It does this to you. Ok everyone...are you ready to go INSANE?!?!? Yay! Finally someone taller than me!
