Six Flags Enthuseast
^Sorry, Zach, but you're wrong! We didn't do Riddlers Revenge that day, but we did get to do it on TS:TR Media Day. Â Next, the last (I hope) part of DAY 2: SFMM! That is still one of the most awesome drops EVAH! Â Ok, I've hit the attachment limit, so I'll update tomorrow (I promise) with the last few photos of DAY 2: SFMM. Â Thanks for reading! Over the top..... Klunkklunkkluklunkklunkkluklunk.... Like this one! This honestly looked like one of the first shots Robb and Elissa took of S:TE in 1997. You remember how it was down a lot then? It was really cloudy the day they went, and this actually looks like one of the shots they took..... GIMMIE SOME CHEESE AND BACON FRENCH FRIES!!!!!! Just in case you're by Food "Etc.", they removed the sign, and you're with your laptop wanting to know where to go from there. Food Etc. is a weird name for a food place.... what exactly is "Etc."? Goliath's turnaround looks kinda reddish in the sunset. Sigh.... it's kinda funny to see these advertisements once you've been there or bought it or whatever, isn't it? It's clear through this photo, but Superman: The Escape was one of the tallest roller coasters in the world when it debuted in 1996! (Cheap comment awareness is a good thing...) Most of the notable stuff is up there... I'd ask my parents to hold my stuff so I could pose, but I'd rather just continue on to Goliath. The sky quickly became cloudy... then again, this IS California.... Giovanola was one of the coolest companies.... we love you and miss you a lot! =( Superman must get tired of having to stand up there all day and night.... Too much concrete in this photo = FAIL! More midway games in Colossus County Fair area. "Talk about a waste! Sure it's fun, but don't lie about your rides speed! It clearly goes 80 mph, not 100! Just get it back to 100 and forget about it! Or move the brakes at the top a little! Something! ANYTHING!!" "I think random midway games are a waste of money! Don't you?" What's that orange thing behind the fence? Is SFMM hiding a new B&M or something? And a nice little repaint wouldn't be bad, either..... They really need to open up Metro. It helps with crowd flow and can keep you from having to walk around the entire park to get somewhere. Tidal Wave should be MUCH MUCH busier than this on a hot day like today! I'm not being sarcastic! Hmm..... One of the intense corkscrews on Riddler's Revenge. Oh yes, I forgot to say (while I was there) that the scrambler is doing fine also. The bumper cars are doing great as usual. A sign that you are in California. Dive Dive Dive!! If R.E.M. made a song themed to this picture, it would be called So Central Loop (after their song So Central Rain). Starting the drop with the typical quiet B&M roar.... Just watch..... Yes, SFMM DOES actually have a movie theater within park grounds! They just make it look like a bathroom. Go to the 3rd toilet stall, knock 3 times, and Mark Shapiro will personally let you in. See, aren't all the little secrets of SFMM fun? Magically, I got a photo of TS and DD operating at exactly the same time. I fell over and was on the ground for about 10 minutes before I woke up and began heading over to the other side of the park. No comment.... I got a caracature at SFMW in 2006. I still have it in my room. Sorry, Goldie. We aren't going to ride you this trip. Maybe next time, ok? We all know that's another Arrow Corkscrew! SF seems to enjoy taking random pictures from the internet and advertising them as their coasters. FAIL! There's a lot of red, black, and white in this picture. Notice? I love you, B&M! I love Intamin more, but you're a very close second. Something encouraged me to take this picture.... IDK what it was though... Still looking at Thrill Shot..... Hey, don't judge me! We got one already. Happy, old guy? Vertical shot. Need I say more? Looking at that Thrill Shot car again. "I've certainly been on better rides than that! It wasn't 'horrible', but I don't think 45 minute line times and slow operations make we want to go on it again." You'd pretty much pay for the guitar you'd win if you kept at it all day. Looks like another one of thoses ladder games Elissa can't win! Those riders are just getting their pop of airtime for the day. Hey, Thrill Shot is operating! Yay! NOTED! Is it possible that a woodie could be smoother than a Vekoma Giant Inv....... heck, most rides are smoother than anything made by Vekoma! Sure, Vekoma makes a lot of good rides, but you guys really need to..... I'm just rambling, I'll just continue on to keep from starting Vekoma fire wars. The classic cobra roll view. So, how was it? It was just 'ok'. If you like Deja Vu here, go to Aftershock at Silverwood. It's much better (I think)! Ladies and gentlemen.... boys and girls.... it's something Patrick has been waiting to do since 2005..... it was closed during his 2005 visit...... interest was little during his 2007 visit.... but now, sit back, brace, and get ready to do Boomerang: The Invert! Dad can't wait to ride TS:TR! Really, I've been talking about it for months, and he's been hyped too. This peakhole allows you to see just what kind of crap still needs to be completed! Sky Tower has stood proudly as a beacon of hope to hungry thrill seakers for many years! (You just have to love my cheap comments) They say this'll be ready by Thursday? TS:TS (Terminator Salvation: The Sign) Instead of Cyclone Bay, they should call it Meshy Marsh. Or Messy Mesh. Something to do with all the random mesh they put up. ....aaannndddd fooorrrrrrrrtthhhhh..... baaaaaccckkkk....... Hey! It's one of those "weird" Californians that walks those fake dogs. I mean, you can tell it's a fake, but it's just weird how it has a really stiff leash and all. I'm just sitting here watching the coaster go back and forth..... back and forth..... Going back outside feels like crossing the border between Alaska and Arizona. Goodbye candy! Robb will be back to eat you in 3 days! Aww man! Why do we have to leave this air conditioned paradise? Dark Chocolate M&Ms! Nah, I'll pass on the fudge. Cause I'm getting........ wait for it...... wait for it........ An old butler guy is here advertising SFMM's fudge. Hey! Cut it out Six Flags! We all know that's GASM at SFGAd! Stop pretending that it's Viper! Mmm.... assorted ice cream... Oh, IDK, a T-shirt? Inside the candy shop, there's lots of candy! What else could there be inside a candy shop? I'd go in through the gate, but I don't want our passes revolked the day we got them! Besides, I can see a lot already from here. Hey, that gate is easily enterable on the left side! BAM!! We begin our trek towards Deja Vu, when suddenly... 3 of my favorite colors are on the Thrill Shot car. Cyclone 500 was one of the first theme park Go Cart style rides I've been on. You can see some of the complicated crap on the tower. Like the pulleys and the wires. Mario Kart is a lot better than "SFMM Kart". See? They really do look like lawn mowers! In Canada, people drive around in little yellow carts. In America, they push little trash sweepers that look like lawn mowers! Still staring at those awesome towers.... You can tell I like S&S rides, right? Was the awesomest ride ever, until we got the bill for how much it was to ride. Hmm....... The Wii experience is pretty cool. But you don't need to do it. Just go out and get one! I fully recommend it to anyone who likes having fun! They had (and still have, I think) a deal where you can buy a Dive Devil flight and get a Thrill Shot ride for only $5. Mom and dad wouldn't want to go on Dive Devil just for a $5 ride on Thrill Shot, though. I wish the almighty S&S god would just zap Thrill Shot with lightning and make the old car reappear. At this point, I'm just drooling.... Oh noes! The sun has melted some of the supports for Dive Devil! IT'S GOING TO FALL!!! AHHHHHHH!!!! I spy with my little eye..... a 1998 B&M Standup coaster! I'm right, aren't I? Man, that Challenger would've been cool as a rental car! This reminds me of when I was at SFFT and I rode Poltergiest. The photo booth wasn't open, and they gave us one of those cards. But I didn't claim the cool looking photo in time....=( Psyclone is gone, and there is no real point to the name anymore. It's Goldrusher! OMG!

Six Flags Enthuseast
Ok, last part of DAY 2: SFMM! "Today was a lot of fun..... NOW LET'S GO GET SOMETHING TO EAT!!!!!!" Bye X2! You awesome ride, you! (Hey, it rhymed sorta!) ... ... ..... ...... One last look upon the amazing coaster skyline that is SFMM... I'll see ya on TS:TR Media Day, SFMM! SFMM is pulling a Cedar Fair on us! And we're outta here! There's the exit gate. The park's main gift shop is Flags. Don't some SF parks have Flags gift shops? Superman: Tree Escape! More Flags, More Fun! Valencia Falls still operating. A good sign, since it apparently was turned off during both of my visits in 2005 and 2007. See? I told you there'd be a lot of Canadians here today! (Funny enough, queueing for Deja Vu, I met some Playland PNE fanboys) Yup, we're about done for today! Lot's of trees...... Um, really? See ya later Snakes and Pies...(coughcough)...... Shakes and Fries! Fade has taken its toll on Metro as well. I know something you don't know about this station! If you think you know it, tell me what it is by PM! NOTED! I always thought that was an interesting thing to try... I'd like one that's cherry pie flavored.... Mmm.... Marie Callendars Cherry Pie with cinnamon crumb topping.... fresh and warm with a cold glass of milk.... mmm...... (Hungry yet?) Yeah, see all the growth around the tracks? They should install seats to make it look like a roto-tower car. I've seen that before. They should cut trees down first before they should even plan to open Metro! I only need to be 14 in order to work here! I'd love to see what I could do. Probably not much, but I'd enjoy working at an awesome park like SFMM! Thomas Town is looking nice. A moment of scilence........... Â (Sidenote: It's actually very easy to enter that area! When I was there, there was nothing blocking entrance.) Yup, that's where we are... Ahhhh! Why are you doing this to me, Lucario?!? Â "Ha ha ha ha! That's what you get for not letting me have any Wingstreet last night!" The Goliath fruit stall was closed too... NOTED! The 2 pirate themed rides at the park. Food "Etc." Why did they have to close the gift shop? There's 0-100 mph: The Lie again! See you later, Goliath! There we go! Gotta say thanks to the Goliath operating crew for pretty fast operations and a fun experence! You guys rock! Gotta say thanks to the....... Hey, where are they? "Goliath was one of the best coasters I've EVER been on! Go Switzerland!" Almost our turn! I'm just staring at the train trackers...... When it's gone, you can see the awesome nerdy crap beneth it. It's a pretty long train! "I can't understand what the ride-op is saying, but the thing I REALLY have a hard time understanding is why Patrick's dad didn't come with us! Who could miss out on their Goliath credit?" Mom and I were puzzled on what the ride-op was trying to say! Back car. Front car... You get a lot of wind through the station if it picks up at all. It can pass easily through the windows and the slits up there. You can see the beautiful desert mountain range from Goliath's station. "Oh boy! This is going to by my first Hyper coaster!" Going up the stairway to get to the station. "Hey! I can see Scream! from here!" ...... If you want pictures of the station, this is the update! They did a good job making the door blend in. Sorta... The station of Goliath seems to be made out of bamboo. Can you tell? Somethin's goin' on back there.... Snickers on a Giovanola = EPIC WIN!!! Goliath has queue mist, but it looks like it's not on at the moment. Poor Colossus hasn't had much attention since all the other coasters were built. This shot makes it evident how the catwalk and brake supports are shaped. Good at designing RCT3 CS? Use this photo a little bit for the nerdy crap..... This Giovanola seems to have a quiet 'first drop roar' too. The supports have faded because of the bright California sun. Heck, most of the rides have faded a bit because of the sun! Only X2, Viper, and Tatsu are still in good condition. It's cool how it slows down right at the top. Klu.....Klunk.....Klu...KluKluKLuKLUNK!! If you have anything small that's easy to fit into your pockets, don't use the locker to store them. Goliath won't beat them up too much. Queue rails. OMG! This picture easily demonstrates how dirty the catchnets are. NOTED! If you've never been to SFMM or have never heard a Reverse Freefall coaster before, you can hear it from anywhere in the park. I'm NOT joking! Just listen for the jet-airplane sounding noise, or stand under it on the midway. It is one of the loudest and most extreme noises you will hear IN YOUR LIFE! SFMM fanboy
Wow!!! I can't believe Goliath had a VERY small wait time. Â Also, I love Riddler!! It's my 2nd favorite B&M coaster. Â Â --Zachary

Six Flags Enthuseast
^^Yeah, I was surprised by Goliath's short time too. I believe it was.... maybe 20 minutes including the walk to the station. But the station was just barely full, and it was 2 train operation. Yay Goliath! Â ^Thank you! And yes, I totally think that Metro would help ease the crowds that gather at SFMM. I've heard that on busy days it can get really crowded and I think Metro would help with that. Calicoasters
Wow that was a lot of pictures, a lot. Some of them were so blurry, my eyes hurt. It was a good report, but next time I would try to hold back a little on every single picture/detail.
Six Flags Enthuseast
^^Yes, I know they're pretty blurry. The camera on the DSi is pretty good resolution, but the photos tend to look crappy when they're enlarged. It's a sad fact of life. Â ^Thank you! Yes, I'll try to post a few less photos, but It's just me to show everyone everything I got. IDK why, though. Â I'll start with Day 3: Disneyland right now. Oh boy.... here we go again! Â Mom and dad are telling me to go to bed, so I must go for now. I'll update more soon, though, so stay tuned! Â Thanks for reading! Hmm.... I mean, Matterhorn's mountain is easily visable, but I can't seem to spot the castle at all! What the heck? The castle *should* be there, but it looks like Disney had to move it to a putt putt golf course as a golfing obstacle. See what the economy is doing to everybody? As my thumb is pointing out, our first mission is to get to New Orleans Square. The oldest car still in commercial operation. It's good that Disney manages to keep up good transportation methods to keep people moving. I almost think the horses that pull the carrages are robots... they make you think that they're covering the eyes to keep the horses from going crazy... but the blindfolds are to cover up THEY'RE ELECTRIC EYES! Disney is good at eyes, but they couldn't build horse eyes, so they coverd them up... So every horse you see at Disneyland is a robot, kinda like Lucky the Dinosaur! Or I'm just going crazy and the horses are real and they're just blindfolded. I tried to take a picture of the candy shop, but the DSi camera didn't transition well. This was the clearest shot I got! The Indian cheif looks like he's exasperated with life. He'd much rather be hanging out at Knott's in front of Pony Express... WAAYYY better than standing in front of a candy shop being forced to be in photos with crying 4-year olds asking to go to the bathroom! Is it me, or is DL busy? Nope, it's actually about as busy as it always is. I gotta say hi to my ol' bud Pluto! Wazzup? ...as usual...... Yup.... closed...... You know a company's gotten a lot bigger than they originally expected when they offer their own Visa! Yup, this is the classic view that stole the world way back then.... sigh, things have changed a lot. "This is my 1st Disney park! Oh wait, screw that, my 2nd Disney park! Hold on..... Wait, he bought me at Epcot... WHATEVER! This is my first visit to DL. Is that good enough for you?" The brickwork is pretty nice, still the original brick from 1954, isn't it? Postcards..... I get them, but I just keep them as park nostaglia. NOTED! Disney does a good job gardening. Hey, Jeremie said he needed some DL maps. QUICK! GRAB A WHOLE CRAP LOAD! Welcome to the Oldest Place on Earth! One for you, EBL! PIGEONS!!! (Whoops, am I posting the unnecessary crap again? Let me get back to the good stuff...) 2 of the best rides at DCA. The other 2 are Soarin' and ToT. I got some new sandals. Like 'em? Hey DCA! How's it going? This is probably one of my favorite albums of all time! I enjoy every single song and it makes for good driving music. You know, just for a nice little drive through town.

cfc
^I was just pointing out that the ticketing machines make weird noises. Do you mean editing as in getting rid of the pictures or editing the pictures themselves to make them necessary? Â I'm glad that you enjoyed your trip and want to share the fun with everyone else. However, never feel obligated to post every picture you take on a trip. For example, your joke about "robotic horses" required but one shot--of a horse. You used three (inlcuding one that didn't even feature a horse). Your comments regarding the castle v. the Matterhorn required only one picture, too. Â Yes, sometimes, you have to post a less-than-optimal picture to make a point (or, as I do from time to time, for a cheap laugh). But try to be a bit more selective in the future. Â That being said, keep on trying. My first TRs were virtual comedies of errors.

Six Flags Enthuseast
I apologize for taking so long, but my schedule has been very busy. Â Friday: Had to go to dinner and got home too late to go on the computer (yes, my parents have begun restricting me to how long I can stay on at night! Isn't that sad?) Saturday: Was lazy and didn't get to it. Sunday: I don't quite remember, but I think I was a little busy. Monday: The Altar Boy Boot Camp at my church that occupied me from Monday to Wednesday. Tuesday: ABBC again. Wednesday: When we got done with the last day, we went camping at Kitsap Memorial State park. Thursday: Getting used to being gone from the house for more than 24 hours. We returned late anyways Today: Once again, too late to get more than 10 photos in (just got back from dinner at Olive Garden). Â However I'm sure I'll be able to get in at least a few photos in by Sunday or Monday. But if not, note that I am very busy, but that I'm still paying attention to my very important trip report threads. Â Thank you all for your patience! I'd also like to announce that I'm going to Wild Waves tomorrow (my smal local mediocre theme park near Seattle) and I'll get some photos from there as well. Â So stay tuned! The Bebes
I ditto everything that CFC (Chuck) said above & I feel I must also chime in regarding the lack of editing in your TR. Â TOO MANY photos of the same stuff will start to bore your readers. A queue line, a tree in the queue line, a sign in the queue line, a door in the queue line.... enough of the queue line. Â Try not to include any blurry photos. Very annoying. You have two photos of signs that are too blurry to read, and your captions are "Cool" and "awesome". Unless your slow shutter speed is cool, I don't get it. Â If I have a TR that I have SELECTED 60 photos for, I'll go back through and remove 10 of them, making my TR stop at the 50 pic TPR limit. Think about if you were reading a trip report and just ask yourself: "Is this pic or caption really THAT interesting?" if you hesitate to say yes, then it probably isn't. Â I am a professional filmmaker, and I know a thing or two about telling stories through imagery. Â I hope you don't feel like people are ganging up on you. In all actuality, I want to help. I think you're on the right track with your TRs. You've got some nice thoughts and some decent pics. You just need to be more selective. Sometimes LESS is MORE. Six Flags Enthuseast
DAY 4: Final DLR Parks visit. Â Since we still had a day left on our DLR pass, we decided we'd use it up on the last remaining attractions @ DL and DCA. We also did a few rerides at those parks. Tonight's Dinner: Orange chicken and rice with sweet and sour! Â Thank's for reading! Next is DAY 5: SFMM Terminator Salvation: The Ride Media Day. Be sure not to miss this! Hmm.... So this is where they put it... OMG, a Super Mario shirt! DCA looks beautiful from this angle! Bye DL! We'll see you in another 10 years! (before this, my last trip to Disneyland was in 1999) Can you say Giant A$$ Cookie? One for you, Elissa. Hey wait.... Is that the Disney Castle? There's that awesome trash mower thing that we saw at SFMM! 3 words: First Arrow Ever Hey, how'd she get in? Inside the future showplex thing, they had this awesome game that consisted of generating electricity to power your new city. I was able to power one the size of New York! (according to the game) Bye ASIMO! We go right over to the ASIMO show in DL, the last one of the day. See ya later DCA! California Screamin' would look MUCH better with a full lagoon. Then again, doesn't everybody think that? Entrance to the best dark ride fighting game ever! Yeah, so sexy! I saw a curtin covering half of the 3D Glasses box for TSMM, and I got exited that it may be hiding the first Intamin Ball Coaster for North America, or some kind of zombie-alien spaceship that takes us to Cedar Point! Instead we noticed that there were more glasses. =( Z00M! Mr. Potatohead has come all the way from Los Angeles to perform live at DCA! Or he's just an animatronic figure who looks like MPH and sounds like MPH and is interactive. Intamin Ferris Wheel of Death! Now he's REALLY queer! Most people wouldn't consider Maliboomer a star attraction at DCA, but then again most people don't wear Stan Checketts underwear. Artsy shot. (Sorry if I'm doing the unnecessary photo thing again) I hope this to be my workdesk someday. This is my Twitter picture. For all of those 'Intamin Wheel Assembly' fanboys, me being one of them. "Welcome to the Mallllllliiboomer!" Once agian, time for "S&S Space Shot themed to a bell ringer game: the Ride"! One of only a few wild mouses I approve of. That kid in red in the Purple/w Flames (funny, looks like a mini Xcelerator Purple train) said "Holy s**t, a DSi!" I'm not kidding! It was hilarious! Taken exactly 5 seconds after the preceding one. This ride has a pretty darn fast lift. Fact: Washingtonians are the only creatures on Earth that wear socks with sandals in hot weather! This is one of the more unusually themed rides I've been on. Now for the only other credit @ DCA. Yes, Maliboomer IS, in fact, taller than the average flying altitude of a jet! I always thought that was one of the coolest not-based-on-an-actual-car cars in a movie ever. Sup Goofy? Nice panorama (spelled correctly, right?) shot. Gotta say hi to my best bud Stitch! The airtime on this ride scares me a little. Thanks for being a great ride op, Mr.... Oh crap! Forgot his name! This guy gets extra credit for acting. Score 2 for Disney! Here's the guy I mentioned in the 'Funny Ride ops' thread! Once again, Disney scores extra credit for awesome queue themeing and blacklight-illuminated guageboxes. (Cue TZ Theme Song) YEESS!! So as to avoid the catastrophe we experienced on Sunday, we'll ride ToT first! "Note the fluffy white clouds, which are very common in California." NOTED! Queer! Oh, wait... That's my dad! I guess that explains me, now. Skor Bars>DLR White (and blurry, sorry for that) Prius! (Just in case you didn't know, our family plays something called the 'Prius Game.' The Toyota Prius is extremely common in the U.S., especially in states like Washington, California, Texas, and New York. My dad and I noticed this and began hunting for them. If you can look for some where you live, play it with us!) We head over to the DCA parking lot and begin our day! After a nice, big, tasty breakfast.... Crazy_Behemoth_Lady_Jess
You and your family look like you've had a great time and a fun trip. Love the Maliboomer control panel nerd shot. More nerd shots please? Â Does Maliboomer still have those "Puke Guards"? If so, do they really take away from the whole experiance of the ride? Â How did you like Goliath? I have never ridden it but I've ridden it's brother Titan. Made me sick but still fun. Did you catch any air on that first drop? I didn't get any on Titan's for some reason.
