thrillerman1
Last Sunday, my married friends, Josh & Emily, and I decided to go check out the Grassmere Zoo in Nashville. I had a free ticket and had never been to this zoo, so naturally I called up my two closest animal-loving friends and off we went! Here's an exclusive look at our visit...oh and afterwards we went bowling with Emily's brother, Jeff, where we discovered they were hosting a very luxurious high school prom. Check it out! Overall, we had a really great time at the zoo. As you can see here, we are still perfecting our camera skills. Next stop bowling...with a high school prom! Josh has too! Emily has gone wild at the Nashville Zoo! Baby lynx says hi TPR! It must have been intimate moment day at the zoo. Touch my monkey. The zoo has a carousel themed to what else...animals! How very creative!!! I tell you that Conor Oberst sure does get around. Giant man-eating pachyderm! Someone attached some of Slash's hair to this poor animal's tail. This giraffe was sharing an intimate moment with a tree. Emily and Bobo the giraffe say hi TPR! Emily and Josh brought their pet giraffe, Bobo, from home so he could frolic with his captive zoo buddies. After escaping death with the mighty fine swine, we ventured over to see the zoo's collection of giraffes where we caught these two sharing an intimate moment. Nobody breathe! Next we risked our H1N1 fearing lives to bring you exclusive photos of the zoo's mighty fine swine. All this looking at animals can really make you want to eat one...mmmmm burger. We see you other mr. unseen iguana like animal. Hi mr. unseen iguana like animal! This frog is totally unseen. Seriously! Next we went into the Unseen New World attraction where all of the animals on display are invisible. Josh and Emily just couldn't resist playing with this escaped meerkat. The celebrities from Meerkat Manor dropped by to say hi to TPR too! We got pretty close to the gibbons as there was only a small moat separating us from them and our certain death! Next, this gibbon swung down out of a tree to say hi to TPR. Upon entry, we were greeted by these two hyacinth macaws. One of them was named Tim. Josh, Emily, and I at the zoo entrance displaying our talents for not looking straight into the camera lens.
CoasterDude211
Great Photo TR! The Nashville Zoo looks pretty awesome. I live only about an hour and a half from Nashville and have never been there. Maybe I will go there the next time that I'm out there! -Robby

thrillerman1
After our amazing visit to the Nashville Zoo, we decided a good way to finish off the day was to go bowling, so off to Pla-Mor Lanes we went. I pretty much am the world's greatest gutter ball bowler, and today was no exception although I started out pretty good. Oh well enough of my blabbing and on to the photos. Thanks for checking out my very first ever photo TR on TPR! Thanks for a great time Pla-Mor Lanes, and when in Nashville everyone from TPR must visit here! Future proud parents! Josh is more comfortable with the size of these balls. We finished bowling, but before we left we found this exclusive first for TPR...a POTC pinball machine! I was VERY proud of my 60 points. Is there really anything better than bowling alley food? The cuisine at Pla-Mor Lanes has been ranked tops in the world, and this picture shows why! We rejoiced at their demise by eating these fries. I really should be a rapper. It was ok because this Pla-Mor Lanes employee sucked them up - tiara, prom dress and bowling alley couture - into this giant machine. What the...we had to pause so these high school prom attendees could walk through the middle of our game. I am sure that Chris is quite jealous of her tiara! About this time the gutters all started trembling in fear. Boogie down Mayor B! Emily's brother, Jeff, shows us how to "get 'er done" with his big blue ball. Josh rocks the almost strike. See?! STRIKE!!! One would never guess that Emily is 3 months preggo! This is how you do it with a big blue ball. Josh is very stoked about his big blue ball. I've got a big orange ball. Trekkie fanboys rejoice! Josh takes control of the Starship Enterprise. Emily is multi-talented and models the bowling shoes for TPR. If I could do this I'd never leave the house. This bowling alley theming is only rivaled by Disney! Pla-mor Lanes has a very elaborate sign.
coaster_dude2002
Great TR Mark! Your zoo photos really made me want to go back to the one here in Toronto. Went all the time as a kid, but haven't been back in years!

BeemerBoy
You mention something about a frog and an iguana in this report? I'm sorry, but I'm still looking for them. Cool report.
ernierocker
I love Pla-Mor Lanes! Back in high school, we went there every Friday night. (Yeah, we were cool kids) I have never been to the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere. I went to the one that used to be north of the city and didn't really like it too much. I'll have to check it out sometime in the future. Thanks for the report!
thrillerman1
^^ Scott I think they're still "unseen". Sorry I tried my best. ^ Eric the Grassmere Zoo is a vast improvement over the old zoo that used to be north of the city. It's definitely worth checking out. Thanks for reading y'all! Divv3k
Woo, a Mark TR at long last! This was great - do more in the future!!!
moinab
Wow - the Nashville Zoo looks just like the Jacksonville Zoo. I guess all the zoos are cloning each other. Great report! Thank you for sharing!
TheRapidsNerd
Now this was cool to see and I'd be willing to check this out. Last time I was at the Nashville Zoo, it was around '96 and you had to take 24 west to get it somehow. Grassmere seems a big improvement over what I saw back then. As far as the bowling goes, I'm pretty consistant. Yes, I consistantly hit the gutter in the same place every time. Enjoyed this and and thanks for the pinball shots too.
