rawrtotheargh
Apparently Six Flags is doing a contest of their rides on their Facebook page every week where you vote for a different coaster to find the "Holy Rail." http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/video/video.php?v=902045067384&ref=nf This is a link to the video. If I doesn't work on your computer then you can visit their general Facebook page. Looks interesting. Can't wait to see the coasters that win. supermanrosfan0810
Bumping this up in hopes of getting some real fans to vote for the ride that really should win. even though this is really a pointless competition, le monstre at la ronde cannot be declared better than El Toro. ie go silence the crazy canadians! http://www.facebook.com/sixflags?v=app_90891003784
24
Is Le Monstre that great? I havn't been on it.
cooksta77
^ No matter how good it is, I still don't think it could be better than El Toro.
supermanrosfan0810
Exactly. There's even been articles in the montreal news touting la ronde as the tallest woodie in the world: http://www.leaderpost.com/travel/Monstre+running+best+roller+coaster+poll/1835630/story.html (wtf?) The Monster is billed as the highest wooden roller coaster in the world. so yeah. We really need to at least keep it reasonable.
Franc
No. It's not that great. But you know, gotta show some love to the first woody I have ever been on. I am VERY surprised that it actually is ahead by 16%. I guess the whole Province of Quebec is on Facebook. And BTW, I am really surprised that The Gazette (main English newspaper in Montreal) is stating that it is the highest wooden coaster in the world. However, in Le Journal de Montréal (The most read newspaper in Montreal) it was clearly stated that it was the tallest double track wooden roller coaster. cooksta77
Exactly. There's even been articles in the montreal news touting la ronde as the tallest woodie in the world They are competing in the tournament with a wooden roller coaster (El Toro) that is taller. MagicMountainMan
The whole competition is a joke, it reminds me of ESPN's Title Town USA. El Toro should be winning by a landslide.
Homer
Looking at the Facebook comments, even the general public thinks El Toro should be winning. Watch the South Park episode with the French Canadians again. That'll probably explain it.
Capitalize
I voted for El Toro obviously. What a joke, nothing at La Ronde should even be CLOSE to El Toro, or for that matter half the rides being poled...
cooksta77
Not even all of Six Flags best rides are in this tournament. I mean Batman:The Ride from Six Flags Mexico? I still don't believe Tatsu should have lost to Raging Bull.
Homer
Honestly, I feel Goliath at La Ronde should have been in this poll instead of Le Monstre. As for Tatsu losing to Raging Bull. Keep in mind that a large majority of the votes are from the general public that vote for their home park. A lot of Chicago locals voted Raging Bull and still think of it as a good ride without really knowing or caring about a ride across the country that is considered better in the enthusiast community. Wood Dragon 1988
Gooooooooooooooo Le Monstre!!! This shows how completely pointless competitions like this are.

Devious
Somebody on there thinks Son of Beast is better than El Toro and Le Monstre. SOB With the loop was better than both, even if the ride to the loop was a bit evil sometimes
