traincrossin Posted April 25, 2009 Share Posted April 25, 2009 First off, this is my first TR ever on TPR. Yay! Second, I noticed someone with a TPR hoodie and pointed it out to my dad. If you saw a random guy point at you at SFGAm, that was me! Third, this was the first time i've used this camera so if any pictures are blurry (like the first one) or blue i'm sorry. I do have larger high quality pics if you'd like them. Also many pics of the coasters don't have a train in them mainly because I took video when there was a train, there was only 1 train running, or there was simply no line at all! Overall, it was an amazing day at Six Flags! Because this was only the second week the park was open, not many people showed up and those who did were usually coaster enthusiasts. Every time we (me and my dad) walked by a park rep, they always asked how our day was going. I was very impressed by how friendly the entire park was. Anyways, i'll let the pics and video to the talking! Part II coming up! Churros! They spelled "cream" wrong Another empty station! It's Whizzer time! Such a classic ride. How many people does it take to run the 3 Point Shootout? The correct answer is 3. The dude in front is actually from the Guess Your Weight game next door. Supposedly this is new. I wonder what they sell? Am I focusing on the trashcan, yellow water jug, or Buccaneer Battle construction? You decide! Look, a wheel! Demon lift hill Demo, the new ride coming to Freestyle Music Park! (I really don't know what happened to this pic) Buccaneer Battle trenches Skeeball, the only game i've played and won both times. *Tip for guys* Win a prize and give it to a random girl. This is one way to get a phone number AND not have to pay those pesky locker fees. ACEr food ERT! "You are here" *gasp* How does it know that? Look, a log! I spy you red train! Blue side. Both sides were only running 1 train. Red side. I hope you're liking these empty station shots. There were 8 of these signs in American Eagle’s line. They REALLY don't want anyone jumping over fences. Lots of employees just standing around at Daredevil Dive. At least they're not understaffed. and here. Something is missing here... The tower and a pirate flag I know where the mystery B&M track is going! Station and tower Opening May 15th It's Buccaneer Battle construction! It's not "through the trees" but "between the trees" Empty station AND back row on Viper. Double awesome! I see you on the lift hill Viper! No lines! This is how the majority of the day was. So the first ride of my season was Raging Bull front row. What an awesome way to kick it off! Where is everybody? See, the train's on the drop but the sign isn't centered right *sigh* Raging Bull has a new sign The first ride of the season Batman's lift hill through the naked trees! I doubt you can get this shot later in the season. Went to get my season pass processed. The park was dead today! Guest starring in today's adventures is my dad! 10:30 and no one’s here The trees seem a bit naked today What a lovely sight This year’s prices Fairly empty front lot with coasters on the horizon! By the end of the day, every ride op was encouraging re-rides. We got 6 in a row in the back row on Viper. For you spiral staircase enthusiasts Eagle on the lift hill "They say you want a revolution..." V2 only had 2 cars on the track. I would love to see how high it could go! Artsy Batman's second train was getting worked on Cop car I've never noticed the birdhouse in Batman's line before This is the best I could do for TheRapidsNerd Never rode Ragin Cajun today. Always a line. *EDIT* I've been informed that these have been here for a while and do not contain more Buccaneer Battle boats. My bad. Back to Superman New Cyber Cafe as well Locker fail I see you teal train! Raging Bull! Haven’t noticed this store before Funky support Tips for riding Iron Wolf. (1. Ride in the front (2. Tilt your head to the right before the corkscrew. I’ve never gotten any headbanging and have found IW to be an enjoyable ride. Iron Wolf Scooby, Terrance isn't here! This is what it looks like when you get stuck on Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. This is Spacely's Sprocket Rockets V2 didn't open today. Boo! Batman The Ride! Waterless King Chaos Fail. Seriously, just put one of the four outside on! Obligatory "Clown Cam" The longest line of the day. Gotta love that theming! The Dark Knight There's the entrance of Superman with Condor in the background. I forgot to take this before. You can't really see it, but there are 4 Dark Knight trains just sitting outside. Close up of a boat. This is right outside the Superman exit. Buccaneer Battle boats spotting! Not only are rides getting onboard audio, but the stations are getting audio as well! Only 1 train operation today The train Two wheel shots in one trip? Somewhere a wheel enthusiast is crying. They still have those stupid in line videos though. That's not going to be fun later in the season. Hey Dad! No line for Superman! Some bumper car action Look at all of those cars! It's about 1:00 now. I call this one "Gazing" Hello empty Sky Trek Tower line! Anyone know who the purple dude is? Don't worry, i'm not going to "cut" any lines, mainly because there aren't any. Maybe it has to do with the exposure or something, I don't know. $70 for a parking pass?! Wow, suddenly the $45 for a Great Adventure parking pass doesn't seem as bad. Don't forget the season pass is less than the parking pass! Unless you know you're coming back 5 times, not worth it. I am glad the park is keeping it (for now). 50's - 60's Perfect hoodie and t-shirt weather for me, layers for my dad. netdvn Posted May 3, 2009 Share Posted May 3, 2009 Excellent SFGAm pics you've posted. It seems that SFGAm is one of the better-looking SF parks out there. I DO have one gripe (besides the blue, but that's been addressed already) which is that the PTR is so photo-heavy, most of the pics are appearing as broken links on my POS computer. Shane did this exact same thing in his MGA update (strange coincidence?) and the exact same thing happened where many of the pics appeared broken. Overall the pics I was able to see were great.
