Wood Dragon 1988
Skyline Park looks amazing. I remember videos my grandparents have at American "playgrounds" in the 60s and 70s. They were so much more dangerous than they are today. I wonder if those would have evolved into Klotten/Skyline type parks had it not been for this lawsuit-happy country. Griffonluv
Looks like a well built ride. Were there any problems with it when you rode it hanno?
Hhappy
^ No problems with any of the rides i've been on so far. All of them were well worth the entire trip and a lot of fun. Anyway.. i guess it's time to "jump" back in time a little. As mentioned earlier.. Legoland Germany was one of the places i've seen multiple times while driving to Austria and this year i was able to time the trip with the start of the park season. After my visit it was time to check out Legoland Germany. and the last one.. next update might be Europa Park... the perfect place for a day out with the family... driving academy for the young ones.. so what's going on here? that's where i was not that long ago.. ok.. time for a quick last run through this place.. not sure why i took this picture.. the other coaster more boats ProjectX and the parking.. the castle.. time to check out the view.. but i did get in line for this thing... just for the fun of it.. there were so many people that i did not take the time to look for something special.. with airplanes.. there's usually an airport it's floating.. ok.. for me.. not today.. some other time maybe.. loading area... Now this looks interesting... going round and round and round... Raupenritt.. it was flying.. happy riders... fire in the.... scared?? next que area and ride.. not bad.. not bad at all.. next credit.. i see.. they are looking for "gold" now why are those people looking at the water?? for the young ones.. time for something totally different.. and for the kids.. especially if you decided to get on this ride.. people dryer.. always handy around water rides.. more safari.. a pirate's world.. surprise this could be interesting... any request songs? always fun.. some people decided it was time to cool down a little... looks like fun.. another ride.. i guess you can figure out to which ride this sign belongs... looks like they still have some work to do.. the new for 2009 addition... food 4D movie theater.. did not get in line to see one though... Looks like more and more places are getting these.. First drop fun.. on the final brake run.. getting ready to be boarded Hi Larry let's try to get the credits in before the rest of the crowd arrives.. it was called.. no theecups.. but they did spin.. where did all these people come from?? turned out.. it was regional promotion day. so locals could get in after 13:00 hours for half the price... and they were all waiting untill that moment.. After finding this out.. i walked past the line and enetered the park.. 10 minutes ahead of the waiting crowd.. why are you looking at my.... first things first.. Yes i made it. Not that many people in line yet.. hmm should be ok..
Divv3k
Amazing photos Hanno! I've absolutely loved the two Legolands I've visited before and I'm really determined to make it out to the other two soon! You don't often see or hear much about the German Legoland so this really was a nice "first look" for me so thanks very much! Does The Dragon coaster in Germany have the dark ride section at the start like the Danish and British versions?
Hhappy
^ it indeed does have a dark ride section.. if it's similar to the UK or Danish one.. i'm not sure... (cause i have not been there yet) but it does have a dark ride part.. for the rest.. you're welcome
gisco
I love the reaction on peoples faces. Do you take the pictures in burst mode or just good at timing?
Griffonluv
Very nice report once again! The extended arm flat ride looks insane!
Hhappy
I love the reaction on peoples faces. Do you take the pictures in burst mode or just good at timing? I'm not using my camera's burst mode. This due to the lower quality of the pictures...
netdvn
Those Legoland rides look really cool, but all the pictures you're posting is causing my computer to lag. The park has amazing theming and the expressions of the people on the Project X coaster are priceless.
WildStangAlex
Legoland: Germany looks incredible. I love the theming of EVERYTHING, and there are so many rides, especially a lot of water rides. That Bionicle ride looks intriguing. I'm glad you are able to share these pictures with us!
ScoastinGS
I love how El Toro is integrated into the log flume and around the lake! Very cool. Great pictures!
Hhappy
I spent 2 days so far during the start of my coaster season at Europa Park. The biggest reason for this was to get pictures of the new ride called Blue Fire and otherwise because i love the place and wanted to chill out a little before going back to work. I've already done 2 updates regarding Blue Fire. Follow these links: update 1 and update 2 But i also wanted to share some other pictures i took of Europa Park. So here we go. Due to the number of pictures.. i'll split them up into 2 posts.. so please be patient... Hope you enjoy them. and the name.. going round round.. the one and only.. and then it goes all the way up.. doors open one side of the station building.. and in case you were wondering.. the now have onride's available as well.. funny faces.. now what's this?? time to move on.. again.. the front of the train.. plenty to look at while waiting in line.. thanks for the info the sign don't forget this one if you are in this area.. i'm so excited interesting structure.. ok, one more.. for the man this reminded me about a story.. and the other splash.. close up.. splash.. another amazing waterride.. but there's still more.. interesting waiting area.. let's check it out.. now what's in this building.. on a mission.. for the park index man.. a nice shooter.. for the kids.. sounds like fun.. time to move on.. snow?? yes indeed.. snow... as if it wasn't cold/wet enough... i went into this direction.. not a bad line indeed.. and the tune is still there time to ride a coaster.. i thought i had seen everything last year.. but it turns out i missed stuff.. like this part of the park.. more seasonal theming.. no fountains here this time.. but easter decorations the entrance small overview.. only thing missing is a clear blue sky in the background.. splash i guess some people were afraid to get wet.. into the bigger splash.. after a mini splash it goes back up and... coming down.. there's no end to the theming just for fun.. I know it's a bit "lame" but you need a ticket to get in..

Hhappy
ok, time for a quick update.. I just arrived at a hotel after visiting Plopsland in Belgium. This park has got a new ride this season called Anubis. It's a launched Gerstlauer. Once again.. a great addition to the park, impressive launch with plenty of airtime and a overall very smooth and fun ride. Worth the trip (to me) Here's some pictures of today of this ride. A bigger update of the park can be found here I know i'm jumping from one day to another and i hope you're still following this. I just want to keep everybody informed of the "biggest" things i see/ride as soon as possible. anyway.. i would like to present you: Anubis the Ride (Plopsaland Belgium) and the last picture. back of the train.. hmm, this ain't working either (as an angle).. the station area from a distance.. another angle and now with a train.. just because i like it.. scream if you like it.. Here they go go go.. a lot of track in a small area.. The launch area.. from a distance.. I think i see hairtime.. another fun element.. which became more fun once the ride warmed up.. you can get pretty close to the ride.. fun.. looking for another angle.. still plenty of green left around the ride.. screamer.. it's hard work riding a coaster.. I have a feeling that in time it will be even harder to get pictures of this ride due to the green.. just for fun... (i ndid turn this picture for easier viewing) the expression when looking down the dive loop.. this gives a nice view of the trains and the way the seats are set up.. highest point of the ride.. this time with a train. looks a lot better.. Trees.. for young and older.. almost back at the station.. and they are back.. riders leaving the station.. the control panel/desk.. the stairs.. More que theming.. Ï guess these are scenes from the series.. "spooky interesting theming in the waiting area.. good things it's protected by a lot of glass.. trash bin.. never seen this before as testing procedure.. i see a train leaving the station.. yeah.. ok.. they are testing.. there's something about this view.. the brake side of the station building brake shot ok.. still have to wait 30 minutes for it to open.. ok, so that's the station building?? wow interesting looking building you can see the ride from a lot of different places in the park..
