coastersrule85
Past: I would have to definitely go with the ORIGINAL Texas Cyclone...before any neutering and absolutely no coffin cars. Present: Millennium Force! Damn you, my overly rotund middle section!! Damn you to hell!!
Jojo19799
I would pick either Rolling Thunder or Shockwave. My brother and I loved those, and were heartbroken when SFGAM took them out. I'd also put Demon on my list. All three of them are classic in my eyes.
viking86
Past: Thriller (it still exists, but not in its original state) Present: Phoenix
Thom25
I'd take Mean Streak at Cedar Point and have the world's largest bonfire. Such a waste of valuable space, but one beautiful ride to look at.
JFrombaugh
Awesome thread. Something that really makes you think. A coaster from the past Moonsault Scramble - One of the old rides that hardly anyone has ever been on and it sounds insane to ride Relocated existing coasters Steel Hawg - One of my most sought after coasters to get to, would be really cool to own and ride all day Maverick - A coaster that I could happily sit on all day, if I lived closer to Ohio and the lines weren't so long If all I can get is an existing stock model Intamin Ball Coaster - Another compact coaster on my must ride list, easy to fit in a small plot of land, and I could run multiple laps on mine so hopefully people wouldn't complain as much about it being "too short". SOOO hard to pick just one of those!!!
Thom25
^ Could not agree more - Moonsault looks insane and painfull (wish I riden it) - Steel Hawg and the new Ball coaster look amazing for such a compact design (shit, it would fit in my back yard) - and I'd also add El Toro (the most amazing woodie I've ever been on)
JFrombaugh
Add one more to my list: Space Mountain Disneyland Paris, the original Mission. I haven't been on it yet but looks like the best Space Mountain out there, and a lot of people I know miss the old Jules Verne theme. I'd take Mean Streak at Cedar Point and have the world's largest bonfire. Such a waste of valuable space, but one beautiful ride to look at. ROFLMAO!!!! Goliath513
A few that I would consider: *Drachen Fire (Original 1992 version): Looked amazing, and I was pissed when I learned it was torn down. *Flashback: I rode this in 2001 and despite being *moderately* painful at parts, it was sure one neat little coaster. Great views of Hurricane Harbor, loud a$$ MCBRs, gave the thrill of a near death experience that most rides these days don't, and to make things better - it was the only ride in the park that was open yet. *Windjammer: Just so I can ride the yellow track since the red track was my first roller coaster. *Moonsault Scramble: Judging by its size and age, I can imagine it would bring new meaning to the term "Vekoma death machine." *Colossus (Original 1978 version): I hear this was absolutely insane that first year before the first set of modifications. FitchCoaster
For a past coaster, I'd take Tsunami/Zonga/Texas Tornado/Thriller. I was at SFDK awhile ago (before it was SFDK) and pretty much rode everything, and decided to skip Zonga because we were running out of time. I really wanted to ride it but I kind of shrugged it off because I thought that I'd be able to ride it next time I visited. Little did I know it would be torn down before the next visit. I've always wanted to ride it, it looks so intense. Also, I've always wanted Disneyland Anaheim's Space Mountain somewhere in my backyard. It's so re-rideable and you can't deny, the music is awesome! It never gets old.
coastered
If i have to choose a classic coaster, then it will be a Schwarzkopf rollercoaster. But it will be a tie between Olympia Looping and Tsunami/Zonga/Texas Tornado/Thriller. And for a modern rollercoaster it will be Nemesis including the theming and landscaping.
