gerd.muller
Traditionally, the thursday before the carnival-weekend is "Weiberroas" that means a day, where the ladies take over the leadership of the townhall. It starts at 8.oo am, when the major has to ring a bell on top of the townhall´s clocktower and all the women make a run on the townhall in order to grab the Key to the city and to cut of the ties of the male officials. As soon as this happens, a big party with singing, dancing and drinking takes place at the cities center-plaza and lasts until the sun sets. after that, parties are going on all over the town until carnivals-friday, 8.00am. We had a party too at my restaurant and after that, in the club! Here are the pics : The club is located at the riverfront and even temperatures in the low 20´s°F couldn´t stop the crowds having fun at the outside-bar! Paula dancing a CanCan at the big Center-speaker! Inside it was very stuffed too, but the DJ gave his best and the party really kicked ass! At 1.30 am we went to my club, where it was allready crowded at the door! Me, performing Blondie´s "One way or another". The guests are listening to a comedian while waiting for the dessert. Vera and Kevin performing their very own kind of ChaCha! The staff had fun, too! Random Dancing trough the restaurant Mimo and Tonio, friends from Italy had a performance. The restaurant-crew before we opened the doors ( l to r ): Kevin, Ewa, Paula, Mom, Vera, me The party lasts from 8 am until sunset. "...Mirror, mirror on the wall, who has the fakiest boobs of ´em all?" Random Fake-Boob-Picture! The only thing, my Sous-chef was able to say was: "Oh, Kelly Bundee is alive, but she became sooo fat! Me with the part of the kitchen-crew that had no problem working for a "female" boss.... My wife (l) and me, when I was all dressed up! The only thing, she was able to say was: "...you are scarrying me!!!" That´s me, BEFORE...
hansrubens
Although I don't really like Carnaval those pictures are hilarious. Have fun the next couple of days and be sure to get drunk at least three times a day. -----Hans

gerd.muller
I know this isn't your first time "Dolled up"... with that Loni Anderson hair! Terry You would turn green with envy when you could see the choice of wigs that my mom has in her wardrobe! .... and you're right, I dress myself that way on every years Carnival-Thursday since I own the business! It became a tradition!!!
terrancew_hod
^I probably wouldn't since I have never done it, voluntarily anyway. (An aunt sticking a wig on your head when you're 6 doesn't count!) I'm usually the designated photographer that catches them at their "low" moments. Besides I know enough "girls" that do it professionally and have walk-in closets and storage lockers full of stuff. If they don't have that much stuff to show for it, then they're...ahem... "sniffing" away their tips and booking money. Terry

gerd.muller
Bavarian Carnival Update - Carnival-Saturday Carnival-Saturday evening, people are still costumed and every bar, restaurant, café and club is trying to please the guest with good music, cheap drinks and partytime. So did we: Last, but not least: ...and like every carnival: my Psycho-chef dressed as Psycho-chef (even when some people may say he looks more like Uncle Fester from "Addams Family". ...while Tilo, the DJ, gave his best! The Bar is getting stuffed... Sany, one of the barkeepers. She couldn´t stand all the Blonde-jokes about her anymore, but did it have to be bright blue? Meanwhile, random costumized people are cruisin´through the town. Peter, our doorman tried his best, but nobody believed him in being Cher´s long lost sister... "..and you are sure, nobody will see those pictures?" (Tanja, one of the waitresses) "Hy, we will be your Hosts tonight, how can we please you?"... Part-of-the-staff-picture before we opened in the evening.
