davisal771
^ Check and make sure there are 2 files in the root of the folder, they should be named "style.common.ovl" and "style.unique.ovl"
mcjaco
Make sure you extract the zip into Style/Themed. Just moving or copying them, can cause issues.
hulahoop1
Hey is anyone good at making custom flatrides. Because I need a Flatride called a Disk-O Coaster.
davisal771
^ Go buy RCT3 soaked.
hulahoop1
No that is not right, that is just the Disko I want the Disk-O Coaster.
davisal771
Do you mean the Halfpipe like the one at Elitch Gardens?
SoCalCoasters
No, like Survivor at California's Great America: Has a hump in the center, not just the hafpipe.
hulahoop1
Thank you, SoCal Coasters that's what I want someone to make.
davisal771
Oh. I didn't even know that existed. Well, I did some googling, and I didn't find a thing. And I wouldn't get high hopes of having someone make it for you. Your best bet is to either make it yourself or just settle for the normal Disk`o. hulahoop1
Oh well I really suck at making custom flatrides so I don't even want to try. That's why I want someone else to make me one. Do you know anyone that is good at making that kind of stuff.
davisal771
On here there are some pretty incredible custom train and custom scenery makers, but I've never seen a CFR. And even if there were, I don't think anyone would make one just for you, it's a really long process and really a bit pointless as there is a ride incredibly similar to it already in existence. mcjaco
a bit pointless as there is a ride incredibly similar to it already in existence. Correct. And this isn't the "make me a CFR" thread. ** Please note, anyone that makes a "Make me a CFR" Thread, will get a 24 hour time out.
gci2011
Thanks for the help a few posts back. Still having some small issues. The game freezes up unless I start to place a ride before I even open the scenery panel. Not too bad, but if anyone knows a way to fix this, that would be great. I downloaded shyguy's Main Street sets (all 8), but only 5, 6, 7, and 8 show up in the game. Any suggestions? Sorry for all the questions, I'm still relatively new to CS. Thanks! mcjaco
How are you installing them? Give us a step by step.
gci2011
1. I download the sets. 2. One by one, I unzip them directly into style/themed. Viewing style/themed from the mac side of my computer (i also run windows on it). 3. After confirming that all appear in style/themed, I start RCT3. 4. I open up my game (Boulder Leisure Park). 5. First, I begin to place a flat ride. If I forget this step, the game freezes as soon as I click on any button in the scenery menu. 6. I open the "walls" menu. Only sets 5, 6, 7, and 8 appear. 7. If I do not save frequently, the game freezes and Windows says "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 has stopped working". 8. I restart the game and continue where I left off. It's quite annoying, and I've looked all over the internet for other solutions. At the recommendation of other sites, I have also tried extracting to my Desktop, and then dragging to style/themed. I have downloaded other sets as well. Some of them show up in the game, some do not. I have no idea why this happens. If you look at my thread (link in signature), in my latest post you'll see a goofy looking building designed with usable portions of the Main Street sets. I've now resorted to using roofs from the "colored walls" set that comes with the game to go with that building, and it looks tacky: Before. After. Any advice is helpful. I hope I explained well enough. Thank you for your continued help!
A.J.
I have a Macbook Pro 15" Core i5, and I've found that all of RCT3's Mac issues are resolved by installing RCT3 on a Windows partition using Boot Camp.
gci2011
^ Yes, I run RCT3 on the Windows side of my Macbook Pro. Works well except for this.
mcjaco
I'm not a Mac user so I'm probably not going to help much. Do you have all the updates, and Soaked and Wild? I don't recall off hand, but I think a couple of his sets required the add ons. It's the only thing I can think of at this point.
gci2011
No, just have the original, nothing fancy . Thanks for the help, I've decided to just live with it for now. I downloaded some shingle roofs that work great instead.
gci2011
One more thing. I don't have either expansion pack, but if I buy them and install them, will I lose my games on the original version. I don't want to lose what I have. Any help is much appreciated - sorry for so many questions! gci2011

Mr. Starr
I need some help with the scenario editor, how can I get my land for my park bigger? What is there in the scenario editor cannot be made any larger, that's as big as land goes. Also, this may be a stupid question, but I forgot the cheat that is used to take away the menu icons to take a decent picture in game, anyone know how?
