Divv3k
DAY 5: WALIBI WORLD This was a park I was excited about. After enjoying Piraten so much on my earlier visit to Denmark I really was intrigued to find out how the bigger Goliath compared. Now, whilst I thought the ride was VERY good, I was just a wee bit disappointed. I guess its a case of bigger isn't always better since I definitely think Piraten is a superior ride. But that doesn't mean Goliath is no good because it really is excellent. It's still one of my favourite steel coasters in the world. The rest of the park has a very "Six Flags" feel about it. Given this park once carried that moniker that's hardly a surprise. There isn't many other stand out rides but what's there is mostly good. The big exception is the SLC which was just a joke. I thought I'd ridden bad SLCs before but this one was by far the worst. Seriously one of the worst coasters I've ever been on. (Sorry Erik!) Actually Vekoma didn't do too well at all this day. The boomerang and the Rock'n'Rollercoaster outdoor clone were both down. Needless to say Erik blamed the whole thing on Arrow! But all in all a fun day was had! Here's some photos... Walibi World and Goliath are Divv approved. And with two coasters there still to ride there's little doubt I'll be back some day soon! That's us done with Holland. Off to Germany next! Thanks to AJ for joining us for these couple of days in Holland! Can't wait to do it again! Damn, I sat too close to Ben! With Ben's water attraction skills he was doomed to ride alone! Of course we finished the day with a whirl on the rapids. We rode Goliath a LOT on this day! I wish there was something like this in the UK. Another happy train of riders fly by. Back to Goliath to for a few more rides! I gave the top spin a miss. If it doesn't have fire and mist I'm not interested! Random politically incorrect group photo! AJ just loves petting goats. Thankfully the next log got a bit wetter. Ben was in this boat so it was no big surprise. They got off way too dry for my liking. Here's the crazy bitches sliding down. Steve showcases his armageddon coat for this one. These guys were all crazy enough to ride the log flume. Dutch cream cakes are Divv approved! This didn't look like it would be open any time soon. You're doing it wrong! AJ never misses! "If you don't agree that it was all Arrow's fault you're all dead!" AJ re-enacts the Blackpool nightclub experience for us all. Ben is very respectful of Wok! Yay for politically incorrect kiddie coasters! Thankfully we rode it before it broke! These kids were stuck up there for a while! Next up we took on the Wild Mouse. It's not even 12pm and AJ's on the beer! The things that an SLC will drive you to! "It was just a Vekoma!" How Steve is still able to lift his arms I've no clue! Steve and Erik are having lots of fun in the front row! Erik tells us not to worry. "It's just a Vekoma!" Oh dear, this thing looks painful. AJ says "Hi Fudgey!" It's just a Vekoma! Also on the ERT menu is Robin Hood. Look at all those empty seats! I love TPR ERT! Hi Steve! Steve and Jes are loving some morning ERT! Of course, where else would you start a visit to this park? If you see the bright orange kangaroo on top of the globe you know you're in the right place!

Divv3k
DAY 6: HEIDE PARK Our visit to Heide Park started with us arriving at our second resort hotel of the trip - the brand new Hotel Port Royal. This place was awesome! Not only was the hotel cool but they also treated us to a great buffet "snack" when we arrived! After our snack a few of us went down to the bar. Upon asking what time they closed we were told that they'd stay open as long as we were around. Needless to say we were kicked out in the early hours of the morning when it became apparent we wouldn't leave! LOL! Onto the park itself. What a beautiful place. It really looks amazing and has a really good line up of rides. Case in point - Colossos. I was really looking forward to this since Balder and El Toro are my top two coasters. Whilst Colossos wasn't quite as good as those two it really delivered airtime filled ride after airtime filled ride. Desert Race didn't seem quite as good as Rita for me but that could have just been the horrible rain that battered my face as I rode. It was still a fun ride and even the Vekomas weren't too bad. All I think the park is lacking is a real kickass dark ride, if they get that it would be one of my favourite parks in the world. Still the park is amazing without it, with multiple versions of the same ride and green and white colour schemes on everything it scores major points with Divv. Oh, I can't forget to add one of my favourite memories from the trip: So there's five minutes til the bus leaves Heide Park and Steve and I are running back to the hotel after a fruitless search for a souvenir shop. When we get to the hotel exit we find that there's this huge gate blocking our way which is locked. This is when Steve decides to start panicking and shaking the gates whilst shouting "HELP! HELP!". Some random German looked at him blankly then pointed out the buzzer right next to us. It was hilarious. I've never seen Steve look so panicked! Here's some pics... What an awesome day we had at Heide Park! Really it is one of the best parks in Europe. Next up is quite an ill-fated night... We all approved of Colossos! Everyone enjoys an airtime filled ride. Europe needs more Intamin wooden goodness. The ride was even better in the afternoon! We finished out the day with more Colossos. Schnitzel was lunch for the day. My first experience with it too. I have to say I really liked it! Mission accomplished! Hey look it's our line jumping friends! Lets wind them up some more! Whilst I wouldn't ride any of them the colour scheme on the flat rides was definitely Divv approved! You wouldn't see a whole land of blue rides would you? Hi Fudgey! Do you like orange ones? It's tough to even tell which ride is which! Green and white rides collide! They got past us in the end but that didn't stop us antagonising them for a good long time! It was worth it for these issues we had with the line jumpers in the queue! Still wanting to justify our two hour wait for the rapids in Walibi Belgium we elected to ride these ones too. It's powered, it doesn't count, but it was still fun! Is it just me or is this Statue of Liberty a bit short and stumpy? The new kiddie coaster was one of the longest lines of the day! Unsurprisingly there were a few TPR members in front of us! Everyone follow the bear's lead! What a kickass drop tower this was! All parks should convert their spare observation towers into drop towers! It was just a Vekoma! That's some more European death! Erik liked this one so much that he was stroking the custom gold wheels. (Seriously!) What's that lurking behind the trees? Heide had a fun Bobsled. Of course it sported the fantastic combination of green supports and white track. Or maybe Arrow just had nothing to do with this one. Maybe the other Vekoma death machines made this one seem better than it was but I was surprised! This was "just a Vekoma" and it wasn't that bad! Seriously amazing (as I knew it would be)! What an awesome ride! Of course the big draw of the morning is the massive Intamin woodie! It's fun ride but I find it strange that I much prefer Rita despite them both being the same layout. This one threw me at first since it's not green and white! Riding in the rain HURTS! LOL! Our morning starts out with some ERT on Desert Race, the Rita clone. After a few hours sleep we head out into Heide park. This is the group who closed out yet another bar on the trip! Into the bar and Ben, being a guy who knows exactly what he wants ordered a Desperado. This is EXACTLY what you wanted, right Ben? Look at the lights on the walls. Everything was themed! The room we had looked amazing! Fudgey would have LOVED this place! Our visit to Heide starts at the brand new Hotel Port Royal.

SharkTums
^Only in stupid America! We've ridden: - Stealth - Zaturn - Kanonen - Desert Race - Speed Monster - Rita - Sky Car All in various degrees of light rain, to heavy downpour.
larrygator
^^^No one pointed out the red button to a panicked Larry. I think I was with Craig (StealthFan) or Ginzo and had to walk around the whole hotel when the gate was locked.
cfc
^I remember being a bit confused about how to get out of the park to the bus, too. Heide was great--especially Colossos, Desert Race, and the bobsled (my favorite bobsled of trip, as I recall).
SteveC
10 minutes later and I am still rolling about the "panicked Steve" bit! well excuse me for panicking - but hey.....I have form when it comes to the TPR bus, and it wasn't one I wanted to repeat. Trust me, Incredible Hulk style those metal gates were about to be de-hinged. It was in fairness a massive PANIC ATTACK, I was sweating it big time. Oh well, great memories (now I can look back and laugh of course).
Divv3k
DAY 6 - Part 2: DRAGON BAR! This is a night I remember little of but have heard much about. Basically we'd been looking forward to the Dragon Bar at Phantasialand the whole trip and when we got there we felt we had to make the most of it. After countless beers we decided to try some kind of new drink. I seem to remember Lou suggesting a Zombie, and well, as soon as she mentioned it Steve had ordered up two for us! That's about the last thing I remember. Which is fine since nothing else of note happened anyway... Here's some photos... Looking quite good at 3:35am! I'll be fine tomorrow! What a great night we had! Well what I can remember of it at least! Steve's finishing off his Zombie in the early hours of the morning. Looks like he's enjoying it! I'd love to see Jes' corresponding photo from this! Lou's looking all innocent when it was really her that would have been responsible for any things that would have followed. Luckily no incidents followed. Steve and I are enjoying our Zombies! Looks like Jes has had enough already!

Louise
So who gets the privilege of telling the story of what happened to Divv later that evening? I think it should be Steve as he was the only one to witness the beginning of it... or else Erik, as he was the victim... Some of us escaped to bed immediately after those photos were taken and missed all the, erm... expulsion of fluids. I would like to point out that I did not suggest they order Zombies. I believe my exact words were "do not under any circumstances order the Zombies". They did the exact opposite of what I told them, and it led to trouble. Listen to your sober friend, drunkards! Divv3k
DAY 7 - Part 1: MOVIE PARK GERMANY Okay, so maybe I wasn't quite as fine after the night in the Dragon Bar as I made out earlier. This was a tough day! I really felt like death. Damn Steve, Lou and everyone else involved in anything related to the Zombies! With us staying at the same hotel for a couple of nights I could have easily skipped this day and recovered from the Zombie experience but there were credits to be had and I was gonna get them damn it! Even if it meant being laughed at by everyone on the trip and never being allowed to forget it! I think Hanno captured my day here way better than I ever could so check out his trip report HERE I also have to thank Hanno for getting photos of me on every ride or I wouldn't be able to count them as credits if I was only going from memory! Though unsurprisingly I do have vivid memories of riding Bandit later in the day! That thing actually shook me back to life I think! Sadly my fragile nature this day made me skip out on the rapids at Movie Park meaning that I was no longer in the elite club of people who ridden every rapids on the trip. I also missed out on some really great looking food. My tender stomach just couldn't take it! Sitting on benches was far more important to me today! Also, major thanks to my amazing roommate Erik for getting me up this morning! Here's all seven photos that I took, as crappy as they are! Thanks to everyone who documented my day at Movie Park in such intricate detail and ensuring I'll never forget it! (Yes, I was sitting on a bench when I took this photo) Finally! A ride that didn't exacerbate my fragile condition! Lou risked getting thrown up on to ride this with me just so she could laugh at my agony. The SLC did not go down well! I rode this? Hanno has proof so I'm counting it! My photo taking skills weren't quite at the top of their game today. But so help me, I got this credit! I was feeling so crappy that I didn't even notice that this kiddie SLC had the new restraints! I'm feeling like death but I'm at Movie Park Germany dammit! SteveC
Blimey - you have to give credit to Bandit. For those alive it nearly kills you, and for those near death, it brings you back to life- talented piece of wood there. Impressed you took any photos at all on the day, and at least you have something to look forward to should you return - like the entire park?
