arrowfanman
We have Carls Jr's on the West coast. I have never seen a Hardees here. We brought home a bottle of Hellman's mayonaise as a souvineer once on vacation, because our is called Best Foods...lol.
Meteornotes
Hardee's and Carl's Jr are the same restaurant. They are named Hardee's in the east and Carl's in the west. They used to be two different chains, but the company that owned Carl's bought out Hardee's a few years back. Sir Clinksalot
Hardee's is NOT Carls Jr. Stupid Carls Jr doesn't have the sliders.
robbalvey
Yeah, Hardee's has a very different menu than Carl's. They share some similarities, but they are differnt. --Robb
DenDen
I prefer Carl's. I miss them, and In-n-Out, and Jack, boy do I miss the sourdough Jack..... (drooling) South Florida just has the basics, Wendy's, BK, and McD's. We don't even have Long John's here (for obvious reasons), taco bell's and arby's are rare, and the KFC's are ghetto. Sir Clinksalot
^ I think there is only 1 KFC I have seen that's NOT ghetto, that's the one here in Camarillo. I think the ONLY fast food place I would miss from CA would be Del Taco. Do they have those back east?
Meteornotes
No Del Tacos in the east as far as I know. I don't think I've been in a KFC in over 10 years. They were pretty skanky back then, I can't imagine what they're like now! As far as the Carl's/Hardee's thing, the one that I was recently in had the same menu as Carl's. Perhaps there are some variations depending on where they're located. There are none around here, so I only see them when I go to NC. And what are sliders? dt
Sir Clinksalot
^ Kinda like mini-burgers. Like at White Castle. Gregg "Going to start a fast food thread" C. robbalvey
^^ Yes, but Florida has Carrabba's...which makes up for all crappy fast food! --Robb
memphish
^ Yes it does. Now I'm craving it again Robb! Aren't you guys coming out this way in a few months? We'll have to do lunch at one of the newest Carrabas.
Hattuchili
Hey Elissa, nice photo WR! It looks like you had a good day at work! However, I really like your lunch break picture, because it looks definitely like Elissa friendly food! I have seen the same scene at Movie Park Germany! --Sören
moinab
I can't post a WR, either, because I'd get fired and sued. I don't think you'd want to see it, though. -Here I am, emptying a bedside commode. -Here I am, taking a rectal temperature. -Here I am, taking a blood glucose reading. Whoo-hoo! FUN!!! FlyingScooter
Nice WR> Looks like you have a fun job. Mine would be: Hi everyone! Where's the Tylenol? NO TYLENOL!!! What do you mean No Excedrin? nuts, well, guess we gotta leave. Dealing with Insurance calls, both agents and regular people can be interesting. The horror stories, however, are far too frequent and quite headache inducing.
saturday97
Robb and Elissa, since many people on the boards are interested in your lives, have you considered an "About Us" page? Just wondering-- in some of my research of online communities, it's a common request for the site owner to have a more detailed profile.
