zeke11793
So I have the whole week off for Thanksgiving break, and me and my friend decide that it would be a good time to go to Busch Gardens. I really did want to go, considering I haven't been in about 2 or 3 months, so I got my dad to take us. I had a really good time, some light crowds, and best of all, I got to test out my new camera. So there is going to be a lot of pictures. I think a few are pretty good pictures. And one suprise picture for Big Mike. So, then, onto the pictures! And some side notes; The pictures will be a little random, but I just put them in order of when I shot them. Also the pictures, for some reason, don't look as good resized, so if you like a picture or something and want it as a background, ask and I'll get you the better one. And I swear I saw that one TPR member that works for GCI coming off Gwazi while I was.... I swear the guy was either him (Joe I think is his name) or someone that looked exactly like him. Oh, and I almost forgot. This is the dude I think I saw. (not piano John). If that was you, thats pretty awesome. (photo from Pianojohn's IAAPA TR) And I will leave you with this epic picture of the tram leaving. Thanks for reading! It's great living near a theme park that doesn't close for the off-season. See? The signs were everywhere. the sky was on fire! an awesome ride backlit with an awesome sunset. Of course when it opens I don't have enough time to ride it *ooh, ahh* Now the sky was turning multiple shades of awesome. Awesome. While my friends were getting their 2nd and 3rd rides, I was just snappin away. now with the train! this looks like.... a very steep and sharp airtime hill. Then we went to Montu to get a few rides in haha again the expressions are great man, I was on a roll with these artsy shots Yep. Scorpion was next. (actually we didn't ride it) haha I love her expression through the trees! (you know I had to say it) after our rest, we rode Cheetah Chase We went to TImbuktu to rest for a little hahaha yea, I spent 3 dollars on the water cannons (not my hand btw) These were everywhere, and I think I know why... ooh.. Nice curves you got there zero-g I went crazy with the artsy photos near Kumba more Immelmann/dive loop goodness A failed action shot =( (I thought that the continuous shooting mode was on...) I love the lens on this camera! This was next holy wow. thats a pretty tree my cousin saw (from his adventure camp thing) that the rocks spell Jungala. very cool. the sign (that was a great caption, I know) I love them Immelmanns ooh artsy I like this picture if you look closely, there are no people on it... ughhh... why did you have to be having difficulties? Hidden Mickey? Of course the foliage was pretty epic Parrot #2 parrot #1 the lift hill (holy crap those clouds are amazing) only the lion side was working see what I mean? man, it was just packed this was first wow, look at these crazy crowds They already have Christmas stuff up (you'll see this again later) getting dropped off this place is near my house
Coaster Joe
Yes, that was me at Busch yesterday. Arrived at about 11:30am and left about 2:30. Ride count = ~15 on Gwazi, 3 on Kumba and 4 on Montu. Great day to be at the park. Wish you would have said hello!

Coaster Joe
Well, I guess I do walk rather swiftly and intently when I see a coaster in the distance. So that may have been enough to freak this guy out. I really am an approachable fella

zeke11793
^lol. ^^Yea, I might of, but I didn't realize it was you until you were about half way down the exit ramp from me. And I wasn't walking as fast as you. I don't know if you saw me or not, but I rode twice on Gwazi. Once near the back and then near the front (btw I had long hair and a black shirt on). WFChris
Is it me or is Kumba looking a little rusty? A nice cleaning or new paint job could really help that beautiful coaster. Chris.
TheRapidsNerd
Some of those shots looked like something right off a brochure and others would make great desktop wallpaper. You done good! Yay for the Congo River Rapids shot too. Much appreciated
KrakenKing
Haha, I saw Joe too a few days ago. But it wasn't at IAAPA or a Theme Park. It was actually at a Publix (Grocery Store) near my house. Joe, I don't know what you were doing over here, unless you went to UCF to check it out or something, we're no where near the attractions. ebl
Nice Photo TR of one of the nicest parks I've been to. Your "didn't get to ride SheiKra" was like the one time I was there and didn't get to ride Kumba, even though it was open for some of my visit. Someday, I'll get back there. Thelegendarymatthew
hmm, If these are recent pictures of Kumba I see, then it should get a paint job. Rust dose not look good on it. Great PTR -Matthew.K

alpengeist04
^The sad thing is, Kumba was painted about 3 years ago and it really didn't take long for the rust to become visible again.
sam06pr
^The sad thing is, Kumba was painted about 3 years ago and it really didn't take long for the rust to become visible again. I wonder why is it so bad on Kumba...Montu's paint is still looking awesome. After a yr Kumba started rusting again. I wonder if they can do something about it
BuschSchoe
Kumba isn't the only coaster that looked like it needs a new paint job, Scorpion looks that way as well.
coasterdude5
Great trip report! That little curve Kumba's got looks really cool. Is it me or is Kumba looking a little rusty? A nice cleaning or new paint job could really help that beautiful coaster. Chris. I think they repainted it a couple of years ago but I could be mistaking it for another ride. lil jimmy norton
Does Gwazi usually only have one side working? I'm going to Disney World in December and I'm trying to figure out if I can escape to Bush for a few hours.
