IStillPlayRCT2
I know some of yall probably dont even know they have a theme park named Dixie Landin' but they do. They plan to add on a whole new section of the park including a new rollercoaster, a camp ground, and some more amusement rides. coasterdude5
Seems like this park is doing pretty well. It'll be interesting to see what kind of coaster it will be.
cfc
I added Dixie Landin' to your topic subtitle--to make it a bit more descriptive. The park is part of TPR's Park Index, as well--but there's only one other thread on the site about the place as near as I can tell. Thanks for sharing the information. IStillPlayRCT2
It does do pretty well, whenever I go there's always alot of people. I hope the coaster is something huge since Dixie Landin is the only theme park Louisiana has.
gisco
Interesting, HRP announces that they aren't going to reopen and Dixie landin is adding a coaster. Maybe a slightly used one?
IStillPlayRCT2
Hmm.. that would be great if they some how got a coaster from HRP. I heard somewhere though that it could Mega Zeph from SFNO, that's just a rumor though.
astroworldfan1
^ I thought I would never say it, but SFNO is dead, along with the coasters. Thank God DL is being expanded! It makes me happier that my family has a camper too! I'd be happy with a couple used rides or too. -Tatum
The Alex
Technically, not all of the coasters at SFNO are dead, per se. Jester wasn't reported with any major damage. So maybe DL bought it for cheap off of SFI and they're willing to pay for the replacement electrics? Two Vekoma loopers in one park. Hello, Advil. Still! Let's hope it's a long-desired woodie! Cross your fingers!
IStillPlayRCT2
Whatever it is, Ill be happy with it since DL is the only theme park we have.
Voyage_luvr
I found this to be a nice little park when I visited back in 2007. They have a great waterpark too, although it does not compare to Splashin' Safari. I go down south every summer to visit family, and I was going to attempt to visit SFOG during my next visit, but if they get an awesome new coaster I may have to make another trip back to Dixie Landin'. I'm really hoping it's a GCI compact wood. Maybe Ozark Wildcat has been bought by DL.
