Hard Rock / Freestyle Music Park Discussion Thread

Recommended Posts

Hopefully this past weekend showed them that people will NOT pay $40 for entry to this park. Come on FSMP... get it down to $25 and you will be profitable!

Or at least figure out a business model that works at $4.44!

(read: "Thank God something worked. Pleeeease come back again.")

In other news, Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas will also be just like July 4th.....and possibly every day in between.

Are we talking permanent? I don't really think they can survive on $8.68 per person...

I don't really think they could survive at $40 a person, with nobody coming into the park. If they get 4 times the amount of people into the park with this promotion, that makes up the $40 regular pricing. With 4 times as many people in the park, that means they can make much more on concessions, thus making the park more profitable.

And the new owners don't have to charge nearly as much because their debt load is much lower than the original owners.

But they have to convert first time guests into repeat guests somewhere down the road.

It looks odd but makes total sense. The main attraction during the day is the beach. After the beach, people need something to do, so there will be a higher demand for other forms of entertainment later in the day, thus, being able to charge more. Also, charging less thus the day may help detract people from the beach and make a park trip last the whole day. Though, I'm not sure if there is enough in the park to warrent an entire day - as previously discussed many times, that is something that needs to be addressed.
