If you go to the Facebook page, under comments, they're talking about how the park is gonna honor the 2008 annual passes, although I haven't found anything saying that anywhere.

If that is true, then that's a very wise decision on their part to get people to come back and check out the park, and give them a chance to renew their interest so they will buy a pass for their future seasons if they have future seasons...

EDIT: http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=191495555432&topic=8013 there's the official announcement, via Facebook discussion board post, about the 2008 passes.

I would have preferred something like MAGIC HARBOR (can anyone remember that park)!!!

Yep. only Log Flume that I can remember going through an arcade.

My fuzzy recollection is that the one at Buffalo Bills at Stateline does this as well. (At the very least, it goes through the casino.) It's been a while, though.

Somebody made the comment about the park becoming "watered down", and I have to say that I may agree. I guess I will wait and see what else they announce before openning, and maybe see what is said about the place on the first few TRs posted here before deciding if I wanna make the trip back down there for myself.

Anybody else get the feeling this park is turning wierdly generic like Visionland. I get an eerily similar vibe. It's not a bad thing, but it's still a disturbance in The Force.

I'd love to see what their 5 year plan is, but we all know that's not happening.

Hey, it's still a park, and it's still another place to go, no matter how long it stays around.

FREESTYLE MUSIC PARK INTRODUCES “THE TIME MACHINE” ROLLER COASTER

Tallest and Fastest Coaster In the Carolinas Features A Soundtrack of Popular Songs From All Genres of Music From the 1960’s Through the 2000’s

May 4, 2009, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Freestyle Music Park today announced that the roller coaster, formerly known as Led Zeppelin – The Ride, has been renamed and re-themed as “The Time Machine.”

Towering more than 150 feet into the sky, the looping, steel roller coaster features a high fidelity, on-board audio system that plays five separate audio tracks, bringing hits from the 1960's, 70's, 80's, 90's and 2000's to current day. With the five separate audio tracks, guests can enjoy five unique ride experiences.

A Bolliger & Mabillard coaster, each train of “The Time Machine” holds 32 guests (four wide, eight rows) and is equipped with onboard audio, including 64 speakers and 1200 watts per train. “The Time Machine’s” total track length is 3,738 feet (0.7 mile), with a portion of the coaster racing over water.

Reaching speeds of 65 mph, “The Time Machine” is the tallest and fastest in the Carolinas and boasts six inversions. These inversions include: a 120-foot-tall loop; a 95-foot-tall cobra roll; and a 75-foot-tall zero G roll. The lift height is 155 feet and “The Time Machine’s” total weight of the track and structure is approximately 1.2 million pounds.

“We are excited to unveil ‘The Time Machine,’” said John Stine, director of marketing and sales for Freestyle Music Park. “The enhancements we have made, including adding five different audio tracks, will allow our guests to enjoy a totally different musical experience with each journey through time.”

Okay, the "choose your own track" thing (ala Hollywood Dream) is cool and all...but, "The Time Machine"?!

Holy Mother of Crap, that's a lousy name for a rollercoaster in a music themed park.

/At least we know why it's pink now.

//Wait, no we don't.

It says including, but I can't figure out what they've done besides that. Basically "unveiling" the ability to put a few different MP3's on a flash drive :S

Oh, I didn't read it as "choose your own track" I read it more like Rock N Roller Coaster where it could be different each time you ride.

I just assumed it was like Hollywood Dream. But now that you mention it, I don't see anything in the press release to back up either concept. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

/Brock Sampson is gonna be pissed when he finds out about all this.
