yankees15
I was looking at ONPOINT, Cedar Point's blog and they have a few pictures of Top Thrill Dragster stalling for the second time with riders. This time it was only 4 riders, but it is still very unbelievable. http://www.cedarpoint.com/public/fun/blog/index.cfm?entry=48a5a061-f8d7-4e18-b733-8eaec1685b30
BRTeller
Yep, I got a vid and pictures. I'll post them up for you guys tomorrow, but it sure did. So I guess it does happen.
haux
That is so cool that they documented that on the blog. I saw it happen in 2005. I was with a friend at the park, and we were on Magnum's lift hill when it happened. It's wild.
alexinla
I also think that it is very cool for them to document it, make light of the situation(as nobody was in danger) and actually explained the situation. And hell yeah, these 4 people should buy some lottery tickets asap
Jds03
Hahahaha those people are so lucky, i always remember the 3 seconds on the top of top thrill dragster to be the greatest view Ive ever seen. I could spend a day stuck there. I'm surprised on point covered this though, usually they don't cover "technical problems" like the "magnum bang" last year, or the wild cat thing this year, but then again those were serious accidents..... whatever i enjoyed the blog post. It made me laugh

Maverickrocks
Some lucky people there. That's probably even better then a rollback!
THE ONE
That would be awesome, but kinda freaky. I was @ SFGAM today and it was so windy out I just about froze my a$$ of on top of Raging Bull, so I could only imagine how cold it was on TTD. adeuce02
it was cold and windy in the morning and stalled for 5mins
Der Der Dongt
The best thing would be to have a rollback first and get stuck up there after the second launch.
TheHulk
The best thing would be to have a rollback first and get stuck up thereafter the second launch. Agreed
BRTeller
Here's the video I got of it stalling. Sorry its so shaky, but my tri pod wasn't with me. Oh and why in the world does you tube take away so much quality? Anyways, here it is.
thrillgeek
Very nice vid even without the tri-pod. I would love to get stuck up there.
gisco
What would be cool if they would push you backwards. Then you would get stuck and a roll back all in the same ride!
geekgrrl
I was there that day, but I missed this. I did get to see a couple of rollbacks though...one happened while we were in the station waiting to load, so that was pretty rad.
Rousfv
I really want to try this in someday I remember iv'e seen this to happen in a loop on the TV. I think it's not pleasantly, but I would like to try it once

MixedDrink
I, am jealous. "God, please grant me the luck to get stuck up there on TTD in May of 2009! Amen."
kamikazewatermelon
I never even thought that was possible! Oh, and in the video, shouldn't it be "mountaining", not valleying?
saxman47
you're right I definitely wouldn't describe that as valleying.....it's the complete opposite!
geekgrrl
Just wondering is anyone going on the last operating day?(Nov 2nd) Ill be up there, should be cool if theres not many people there haha I'm not going to be there, but last Saturday really wasn't too crowded. I mean, it was busy, but it was also freezing cold, so the lines were fairly reasonable... especially at night. Just wear a whole lot of clothes. And maybe a ski mask. AllenA07
I guess I'm going to be the lone person here who would not want to get stuck on Dragster like that. I'm not much of a fan of heights, and would be more then happy to simply roll over the top and be on my way back down.
Cygnus12
I wonder if the riders could have leaned forwards and backwards in unison and gotten the train to start rolling again by shifting the load. That would have been a site to see lol.
StormFreak
I've also wondered if enough coordination from the riders could shift the train... However, with only 4 riders, I don't know if that's possible. I will be at CP for the whole closing weekend, and I am guessing it will be quite crowded. First, Friday night is Halloween... Second, the weather is supposed to be decent (much better than last weekend), and third, it's closing weekend. I'm just going to enjoy the weekend! Brandy524
I guess that would be awesome for the bragging rights, 'cause I mean, how many people can say they've gotten stuck up there? But I personally don't think I would want to because I'm too scared of heights.
