PeoplemoverMatt
HERE THEY COOOOOMMMME!!! All this talk about the pre-show & stuff is taking way away from the coaster itself. This is the best wooden coaster that SoCal has EVER SEEN! No joke! It starts with the crazy fun first drop, has many pops of airtime, and never let's up through the entire course. We're used to woody's with dead zones where we can catch our breath, take in the scenery, etc, but not on this ride! The pre-show is good, but the coaster itself is awesome. This is our salvation. SharkTums
I really hope that someday, a lot of you SoCal people, get out of SoCal and ride a roller coaster with Real Air Time. Some GCI's have 'pops' of airtime, Terminator doesn't even have those. Ask GCI themselves, they don't build rides with negative g's!!!! They sometimes go to under 1G, but that's it. This ride is really good, it's easily the best wooden coaster in California (which is sad cause it's actually not saying much...the ride deserves better than that!) But I'm sorry, there's not real airtime on it.

Goliath513
I was at the park this afternoon with a couple friends. Terminator was running all day, but only with park employees as riders - which was evident by all the riders wearing the bright yellow shirts. Guests were constantly trying to get in and ride, but only to find park security waiting at the entrance. We will be there tomorrow again for the opening first thing in the morning and will post more on the ride after riding! Here are some pictures from a couple hours ago. The entrance is much more impressive in person. Not so many staff present now, but the full trains of yellow shirt employees sure confused the guests as to why they couldn't ride. nrdyboii
Robb Thank you for your Media Day report. All I can say is WOWWWW. This ride from what I heard, packs a punch and is adequetly themed. I was just looking back at the first few weeks when Terminator was announced and many people thought that Six Flags could not pull out a wooden coaster themed to Terminator, but Six Flags knew what they were doing all along. Maybe they wanted to stir up controversy so that in the end, people would come out and ride their one of a kind ride. It sure enough has worked, and I want to thank the people for making this ride come to life, the people actually constructing the ride, and none other than Robb Alvey. I can not wait to ride this thing. Even though I could not make it To the KROQ event, I plan on riding this thing During TPR Terminator Day. Kudos. I got "GCI Airtime" coming off the first drop, over the first bunny hop (under the bridge), and coming out of the first turn around. Yeah, it's not an "airtime machine" full of negative G's, but there are some pops of air here and there. I would say I got as much airtime on Terminator as I did on Kentucky Rumbler. That's at least my take on it... --Robb
Fat-G
The ride looks amazing. I just got back from seeing the movie and it was great. Way better than Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines. The ride looks like it captures the look and feel of the movie. Great job Six Flags.

Had I not gone and ridden things like Phoenix or Lightning Racer or even Ghostrider in it's first few seasons, I would think the same thing as most people. Not to take anything away from Terminator, because it's an AMAZING ride and yes, the best woodie in CA. It's probably my number 3 or 4 woodie at this point but there are a LOT of awesome woodies I have yet to ride.

Sir Clinksalot
^ Not to dissapoint you, but I didn't see any Flashpass signage on Terminator yesterday. So make sure you get on it early if you want to ride.

ebl
How was the pacing for the ride, that is, was there any stacking of trains? Also, I'm guessing there's a seatbelt along with the lapbar... Eric
Sir Clinksalot
^ We got stopped a couple of times at the break, but that's where the "Hefty, Hefty, Hefty" chants are played on the on-ride audio. (I'm still wondering if anybody else thought it said that) But not a whole lot of stacking at all. Seatbelt, yes, but only 1 for both seats, which kind of surprised me. SFMM162op
I was at the employee previews today and all I have to say is that this thing seriously kicks booty. After my 4th ride I have come really close to deciding that this is my new #1 all-time favorite. Yes, the audio is just a tad too load especially in the preshows (and yes the employees also sorta laughed during the preshow but hey, the park is really trying to improve things for the GP). Neal was also there and he was going though with several others looking over other certain things to the pre-show and will most likely be making some adjustments over the next few weeks. Also the fire effect sorta startled me, mainly for the reason that on the first 2 rides. Also expect Very Long lines for the ride this weekend, if you are looking at getting on it soon I'd suggest going during the week when it is slower due to the shorter hours. Plus, The Flash Pass isn't going to be available for the ride. But in conclusion Go Ride This Ride!!

I've come to understand this "ejector airtime". Now I can say "That was ejector air!" Have I reached "coaster maturity?" Hopefully I'll be able to make it to SFMM in the ....well, I'm not sure when. I'll just be watching for now. -Zach

SFMM162op
I will say this though, even if you only get to ride it once, you have got to go on it. Terminator Salvation: The Ride is a totaly different experience compaired to the rest of the park. And to answer a question asked earlier, the ride operators will have seperate costumes for this attraction. Hopefully this will be the beginning of the park realy going into overdrive and making even more changes to help it be a better park for families, I have a lot of faith in Jay and think that he is already doing an awesome job at making the park better. I've never really understood the lack of rides with strong airtime in California, and lack of Intamin steel. Hopfully, some park will one day remedy the issue. Until then. Anyway, back to Terminator talk.
ghost007jas
^ But remember that the poll operates on comparisons, and since most of the Terminator fanatics (I'm sure I will be one come Monday) have not been on rides such as El Toro or The Phoenix, so that should not really be an issue if those that have been on both (Robb and Elissa) rank El Toro and what not higher, right? Airtime is anything that brings me up out of my seat, whether it reaches negative g's or not... After all, anything lower than one G is less than you are feeling sitting in your chair right now. That's how I look at it anyway!
Top Thrill Dragster
I got over 20 rides at KROQ party, awesome ride! Pops of airtime where I thought there would be none. Smooth and never lets up. Six Flags really out did them selfs when it came to the theming for this ride. I would say that the theming is on par or a notch below Universal. And the only disappointment with the theming is the station. And for any one going to opening day, be warned when I asked how long of a wait they were expecting, they said 8-9 hours. Although I doubt it will get that long, just be prepared. Get there early and have fun on this AWESOME woodie! Great job Six Flags, really exceeded my expectations on this one.
