matteocrepaldi
Nice Intamin track! I have a couple of questions; hopefully they are not too random. Does Intamin fabricate the track and supports for all its coasters in one place (in Germany, I think)? Does Intamin produce track in Europe for more than one ride at the same time? Loefet
^ The HQ and European division is based in Wollerau, Switzerland. I have no idea on how they produce their coasters but I would guess one at a time, since it would be easier to keep track of all the parts. Olov
The webcam is now up and running but nothing to see yet except for the cleared ground. Webcam
johannalaforge
When I see the pictures of the arriving tracks, I just get too excited to wait any longer! I really can't wait for the 2009 season to begin, especially since both Gröna Lund AND Liseberg's got new rides
Loefet
especially since both Gröna Lund AND Liseberg's got new rides Your forgetting the world's first coaster at Skara Sommarland and the first coaster at Kolmården. 2009 seems to be the best year for Swedish amusement parks yet. I hope that they start building this thing soon...
silvercrew1
I love that really tight track. Looks like whoever will ride this is in for some serious spinning!
apanbl92
It's gone vertical! Some of the violet supports are up! Check out the webcam: gronalund.com
Anfronee
Has anyone else followed another Zacspin being built? Is it a relatively quick build? I understand that all coasters are pretty complicated to build, just wondering with the completely Vertical layout if that made the construction more complicated, or if it made it easier since it is all one one straight line? matteocrepaldi
Just keep an eye on the webcome. It started to get vertical! Nice!

Loefet
Is it just me that hopes that they change the view of the webcam when they start to get higher, since some parts are soon going to disappear out of view.
ajinaz
Now that the ground supports are in this thing is flying along. At the rate they are going today, this thing will be done by next week. It looks like they have 2 more track pieces before they go up another level.
Loefet
Not much more to see here now... Oooo, what just happened, did the Gröna Lund people change the angle. So the rest of the construction will be on a slant... Wonder how long it will be until they have to change the view again. EDIT1: It didn't take them long to change it, I have to say that this view is superb and the sun won't interfere with that camera as it did before in the evenings, but if they had tilted it slightly downwards then it would have been even better. Mmmm, not much to do now. EDIT2: Looks like my word is their law Absolutely perfect image!! I can't wait for this thing to open now!!
matteocrepaldi
I'd love to ride one of these. I can't say if they are good or not.

Nrthwnd
It looks like they're making sure everybody is getting a good look-see at how the construction is going, with the webcam changing angles and viewpoints. Which is great! Oh, I hope this is up and running when we get there in June on the tour. Can't wait!
Loefet
^ The opening date specified on the Gröna Lund home page is the 25:th of April, so there is plenty of time for screw ups After adding loads of supports yesterday evening, they started the day with track-work. The MCBR have been installed with wheels and everything.
SharkTums
Wow, it's crazy how fast this is going up! Very cool! I almost feel confident that I'll finally get on one of these!
Loefet
^ They managed to add a substantial bit after lunch today. If they keep on going like this then they might be done tomorrow. They have done a lot in the afternoon, now it's only the top part left.
