P. 288: New B&M Dive Machine Announced!

Recommended Posts

Hello . Going to SFFT for the first time April 2. Will have one day at the park. Would like to know if the Flashpass is a necessity to get a ride on everything. Rally pumped for Iron Rattler as I do love me some RMC

Yes it is necessary. We were there last April for a full day and then a few hours the next day. Had fastpass, had ert time because it was for an event, and still didn't get on everything. Got on almost everything.

to echo what Kim said, yes.   and I'd get the highest level you can.

SFFT does do the annoying thing that many SF parks do, in that the Flash Pass merge is pretty far back in the queue, and they'll hold the general queue line prior to the merge point to try and make the Flash Pass a better value.    But most of the rides, there's still a bit of a wait after the Flash Pass entrance (in particular on Iron Rattler, Poltergeist, and Goliath).

WonderWoman, Joker, Superman, and Daredevil Dive, the merge is fairly close to the station, and you don't have too long of a wait once you use your pass.

and Bug's Whitewater Rapids (flume) Flash Pass puts you directly into the station.  and on a warm day?  this will help you skip an hours long queue.

note: Skyscreamer is no longer on the Flash Pass system.

too bad you're not going later in April. . . in late April White Water Bay opens, and that section will drain much of the crowd from the "dry" areas of the park.

have fun, it's one of the best Six Flags parks.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. .  new signs going up today, to warn that the Railroad might not operate consistently due to how close to the tracks the construction work is:

OMG. . I love this park & Park President.

Jeffrey just announced that starting today SFFT is offering “enhanced flash pass entrances” that appear to be sharing the entrance with new single rider lines on 4 coasters:

iron rattler, Goliath, roadrunner express, and boomerang

and he hints “more to come”

wOOt!!

  • 2 weeks later...

Per Park President Jeffrey Siebert's twitter update, the Midcourse drop is now complete!

so a big portion of this beast is complete, and only 21 more sections of track to install and they'll have full circuit!

can't wait.

Why does this have midcourse but emperor does not

i dont know exaclty but looking at the pictures they appear to be close or identical in length and height.

Funny name

I need to go to SFFT but it's all the way in San Antonio and Texas is huge. Everything is so far apart in the south im getting used to it.

it's a custom design. . so the 2nd half is different than any other Dive Coaster.

it's the 1st of it's kind with 7-across seating as well. . .

For capacity.  If I can send a train out in 30 sec vs 60, with a mid course, then add the mid course, as SFFT gets more coaster rider traffic than seaworld.

A Six Flags park sending out a train in 30 seconds 😂

This is the same park that had their star attraction (IR) running one train on a Friday during spring break last week. There was a 3-hour line and filled entire empty rows from the singer rider line rather than try to find groups of two from standby. That MCBR is there only to feature a second near vertical drop. Capacity is the last thing on their mind.

I've updated my Trip Report thread with my stop at SFFT on Sat afternoon.

LOTS of pics of Dr. D's Cliffhanger, as well as a look at the updated Sangerfest Halle
