ParkTrips
This is so unusual, I--oh wait-- this is Six Flags. Never mind... Right. Because Cedar Point has never shut down Millennium Force or Top Thrill Dragster several weeks before the season ends. Seriously, shut up with the stupid Six Flags comments!!! Real
^When they show ignorance, yea, they would. Yea, not like CP hasnt done the exact same thing. Things break. Want to try and run it with no chain? You can wait in line for it till it works without a chain.
LcHg5265
This is what happens when Six Flags goes the cheap route and decides not to purchase the Intamin chain but rather a cheap version.
Axman
^ Thank You. Besides, MF has an elevator cable, which is much better than a chain.
saxman47
^ Thank You. Besides, MF has an elevator cable, which is much better than a chain. obviously, because it is at cedar point, it must be the best Millennium force has had way more lift problems than your average coaster. Didn't they need to replace the entire motor like twice in recent years? I can't remember the last time I saw a B&M hyper down because of lift problems, and they use a chain, don't they
Jew
So much better, that even it has still snapped before? Numerous times IIRC? Can anyone even prove they don't use the "Intamin chain?"
Real
"Intamin" Chain huh? Do you really think they would design a special chain when a normal chain would do just fine? You guys create all this speculation just to attack a park or chain of parks...ridiculous. Yea, cables are so much better. They take away the sense of height. They break rather easily (Yes, MF has been down due to its cable several times). After all the headaches with TTD's cable and MF's cable - I am tending to think that Chains are still better. How many times has Raptor, Mantis or Magnum been down due to chain problems? Virtually never.
ParkTrips
^ Oh, I'm sorry, do my little comments upset you? That's too bad. man... good thing I'm not a moderator or anything. Come back in a couple days with a fresh attitude Anyways is the chain even made by Intamin, or from someone else? I had always thought that Intamin in particular was just a designer, and pretty much everything on their products was made by someone else... LcHg5265
All i am certain of is that the chain on Superman that has recently had issues again is not the recommended chain by Intamin. (Not sure if it MADE by intamin or just recommended)
Purplepills
I would've thought all that sort of equipment is standard 'off the shelf' stuff from a company that makes chains. Off the shelf doesn't necessarily mean you don't have to wait for it to be made though.

coastakid
^ I was at SFNE on sunday and Superman was down as expected. I did not see the red tran anywhere, but the blue train is still on the transfer. Catapult was up and running the whole time I was there.

cdp123
Ok, I may get bashed for this, but do you thing this has ANYYYYTHING to do with Six Flags' horrible upkeep and maintenance?
supermanrosfan0810
I don't think it has anything to do with bad upkeep, it's like a car, they'l ave some kind of big problem at one point. they're machines, it's inevitable. Also, the red train is up in the maintenance/storage area by Cyclone and tomahawk.
