Canobie Coaster
I think the weather in the area plays a role. They're trying to get a jump start before the insane snow and cold comes. They didn't really have to deal with that with the other 3 RMC hybrids. I agree, the snow could be a big issue. A lot of the New England parks like to start construction before the heavy snow kicks in and then they finish once the snow melts away.
coasterbill
If it was 70 degrees and sunny every day all winter this coaster still wouldn't be ready until June. This is Six Flags we're talking about...

This is Six Flags we're talking about... Six Flags New England was pretty good with the Sky Screamer if I remember correctly. If anything, the park gets in trouble for jumping the gun with construction (cough: Dark Knight, cough).
coasterbill
New England Sky Screamer opened about a month after the park did. That only seems "pretty good" because most other Six Flags Parks were even more inefficient. This is going to be much more complex than building a Starflyer though. ECZenith
Someone I trust said this will be the first RMC to have blue steel. I imagine Collossus will as well, I think it would look better than the red for the older white coasters. Time will tell if this is true.

eddie200330
So basically with the way they are carefully taking what looks like just the track off, would it be safe to assume the layout isn't gonna change much?
CPSFMMCW
I dunno I expect the layout will take the same similar shape, but have drastically different elements. I'd expect inversions, overbanks, and airtime hills.
Mega_Coaster_77
I really hope this ride is more of an airtime filled twistiness coaster with limited inversions. And has a lot of overbanks
BurgoAndM
I saw some pictures from SFNE Online that could point to a zero-g roll.
markysharky17
I left the park at 10:00 today after being at customer service. I will let you know the full story tomorrow...
ZeroGravity55
So basically with the way they are carefully taking what looks like just the track off, would it be safe to assume the layout isn't gonna change much? Well they just can't rip the tack off in some spots because they don't want to damage the supports below it, seeing they're going to need them. Like most of the other converted coasters, this one will follow the original layout of the footings, but the ride experience and elements will drastically change. The only RMC converted coaster that changed from the original layout was Iron Rattler, where they removed the two helix's from the ride. Now they still did use the original footings to create a new ride layout.

BeachsideThrills
Blue track sounds awesome. God, I just hope the track isn't orange.
CanobieFan
So, the lift hill is gone, steel beams for Iron Horse going out of the station. First drop gone, station to lift gone, the track above the lift is gone. Courtesy of SFNE Online.
Mega_Coaster_77
^^Yeah, I am hoping for blue as well. They would never even consider orange, it's either going to be red or blue. ^Yeah, they are moving really fast. It is sad to see it go, but at least they're moving quickly so we can ride it earlier. VF15
^ Maybe they will be turning that hill into a barrel roll for the RMC version. Even though everyone seems to want an airtime-based makeover, I don't see the harm in throwing in an inversion or two.

Brassinthegrass
Might?! This is Six Flags, they want as many as they can get!
Mega_Coaster_77
^So they can market it better. Going upside down 3 times sounds a lot better than 3 airtime moments to the GP, unfortunately.
MagnumFreak25
When you think about it it really doesn't that much. Name one park where more people line up for the Vekoma boomerang than the GCI woodie.
