A.J.
Just when I thought I was within reach of riding an S&S Sky Swatter. I really hope that it gets relocated instead of scrapped.
vacoaster09
Please Relocate It!
rcdude
Catapult was a really good ride, but it's not that reliable and was very uncomfortable. I wouldn't be surprised if the park just scrapped it. However, if they choose to relocate it I'll be interested to see where it ends up. It would be pretty funny if it ended up in Deja Vu's spot at SFMM, and I could see it fitting in well with the park's offerings, but I don't see that as too likely. VinTheAttendant
Well that's unfortunate (for someone who visits SFNE often). I liked Catapult. It wasn't the most comfortable ride, and load times took forever, but it really is a unique ride for Americans and especially for Six Flags;and it offers some really powerful forces. I do hope that it gets relocated. Too bad it couldn't have been Twister getting removed.
jzoole
I hope it gets relocated if for no other reason than that it is a relic of AstroWorld. Anyway, I could see it as a good addition at The Great Escape.
deathbydinn
SFNE also confirmed on Twitter that Thomas Town is reopening as Whistlestop Park, which will have a new season pass processing center in it. Link
cal1br3tto
Catapult is being removed from SFNE Good riddance!!! There is no excuse for those suffocating restraints, especially since the ride often suffered breakdowns that forced you to endure the torture of said restraints without getting to ride. The ride experience was fun, though.
TXthrills2010
I could definitely see Catapult making it's way to Magic Mountain, but part of me wishes it comes back to Texas. Imagine Catapult sitting next to Goliath at Fiesta Texas?
vacoaster09
I would love it to come to SFA as it has zero inverting flat rides. Unlike other six flags parks.
coasterbill
It looks like it's getting scrapped. Fine by me, I hated that ride.
John Peck
Scrapped for sure.
DarienLaker
^Or maybe it's secretly being relocated to an undisclosed park that's not owned by Six Flags!
historyfreak92
Or it could be great at Fiesta Texas!
ahecht
It should go to [PARK_NEAR_ME] because [REASON].
crazywolf88
It's probably going to some obscure park in Brazil like some of the other "scrapped" Six Flags rides.
John Peck
Watch the video. It's been clearly "Cut" apart.
Philrad71
If this tells you anything about the ride - we rode the one at Thorpe Park several years ago and skipped the one at SFNE a couple of years later. I would much rather they install a better flat ride...like say a Tilt-A-Whirl or Scrambler!
DarienLaker
Watch the video. It's been clearly "Cut" apart. They probably did that to transport it easier to whatever park it ends up at!
canobie#1
I would much rather they install a better flat ride...like say a Tilt-A-Whirl or Scrambler! The park already ahs a scrambler right next door and a tilt a whirl at a six flags........
ahecht
Maybe they're planning on building the star flyer on the Catapult site and keeping the skycoaster.
canobie#1
^The sky coaster is being relocated in between catwoman's whip and mind eraser for next year. They removed catapult so they could get the big a$$ crane in the park. The catapult slab will most likely be replaced with an equally thrilling flat. DarienLaker
Don't tell me that Six Flags is making Sky Screamer (Star Flyer) a "mandatory" ride in all its parks, like Cedar Fair did with Windseeker!
Musketeer
Don't tell me that Six Flags is making Sky Screamer (Star Flyer) a "mandatory" ride in all its parks, like Cedar Fair did with Windseeker! There are Cedar Fair parks without Windseekers.
canobie#1
The sky screamer at SFNE will be the world's tallest. It will be taller than SFOT's new beast.
DarienLaker
Aren't there Six Flags parks without a Sky Screamer ride?
