coast4airtime
For anybody who doesn't know, the towers are completely green now. I don't have any pictures, but I have seen pictures from opening day and can confirm from going to the park today that the towers are the same color as the track. I believe there are some photos on SFNEOnline. sfneonline.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=
coasterfreak101
That is so weird. I liked when the tops were painted green more than they were painted blue before, but this is gonna take some getting used to!
XYZ
At first the all green tower looks horrid, but after looking at it for a few seconds it looks nice.
vacoaster09
So looking at a post at SFNEonline, they have pictures from today showing the original De'jaVu trains on the track now. Maybe Premier is behind on production.
acq10uaz
I was there the other day and got some pics. Goliath truly is a massive coaster. Pictures do not do it justice. The coaster can be seen all through out the park. The old Vekoma train is indeed being put back on the track as well... I wonder why Silverwood didn't need the escape tower with Aftershock?? Green towers don't look bad in person. Hello Vekoma trains. New Goliath gift shop that opened up on Monday! The line for season pass processing has been crazy long all week! Gotham City Gauntlet breaks down a lot, I've noticed. The Batmobile is all scratched up. They did have mist running in it's queue however. Look at how big it is! One last shot of Goliath! More pictures from the Travel Channel shoot at SFNE can be found on SFNE Online. Edit: I also took a video from the New England Skyway showing off the construction site of Goliath. It was windy so the video turned out pretty shaky.
vacoaster09
I remember hearing that with Aftershock, Vekoma promised that it had fixed everything and there wouldn't be a need for it (as in not stalling anywhere). I guess Six Flags either is doing everything in-house or they just keeping it because they haven't fixed that possibility or its just an extra safety featuer as you we six flags wants to be extra safe. As for Green Towers, it definitely draws even more attention to them.
AnonymousReed
You guys are still getting the Premier trains right?
Ed Farmer
Not too shabby with the green towers. I thought the blue and green worked well, but this is nothing to complain about. The platforms halfway up the tower remain blue- it looks great.
acq10uaz
Anyone who has gone the in the past week, have you noticed the water fall that is in front of Goliath
A.J.
Premier must be having some trouble with the train development. It's completely understandable - they're designing a new train essentially from scratch. Personally, I would have rather seen Vekoma produce the new train, but whatever. XYZ
^That last picture looks so amazing! It really shows how massive it will be.
Blind Idiot God
Damn, that's nice. And I'm not too concerned about the Vekoma trains, considering that I'm 6'0 and don't really get thrown around.
rcdude
That ride looks a lot better in it's new location than it did at SFMM. I'm sure it will be a great fit, and will give SFNE a third above-average coaster. As far as the train is concerned, at WCB I remember Tim saying that the ride would use the original Deja Vu train for initial testing and certification, and the new train wouldn't be installed until just before opening. I do not know if plans have changed or not, but I don't think an opening date has been announced for this yet. If the Deja Vu train is still being used a week before opening and the Premier train is nowhere in sight, it would probably be safe to assume plans have changed. Until then, I still think we'll be seeing the Premier train within a month or so.
Moose
^Wouldn't a completely different new train require the testing to be redone?
DJeXeL
That waterfall is a VERY nice touch. I wouldn't even dream of SFMM doing anything remotely close. Premier must be having some trouble with the train development. It's completely understandable - they're designing a new train essentially from scratch. Personally, I would have rather seen Vekoma produce the new train, but whatever. Premier is probably too busy trying to get that S:UF track manufactured and out the door. Jerrykoala2112
I'm glad the park is able to make the area look nice. It replaced a nicely themed splash-boat ride, so it is a great addition.

swiver
Just went to SFNE for the first time over the weekend, and the park really exceeded my expectations. The landscaping was nice, the employees were friendly, and I especially liked the smokehouse. The crown jewel of the park, Bizarro, was freakin' amazing. New #1 ride, even with those crappy restraints. I was made aware that the audio on it was new this year, and I actually kind of enjoyed it. It was a mixture of different songs instead of the previously used sound bytes. I was wondering if anyone has ridden it with the new and old audio and which one they think is better? BaMiTsPaT
^The new audio is definitely less jarring on the ears, but is not new this year. I rode it last summer and it had the songs instead of the sound clips. How did the Goliath progress look?
Pacificoaster
This ride completely deserves the touches it is receiving at SFNE. Other than the green towers, this is looking great.
swiver
^^ Goliath looked great to me. Since I have never been to the park before last weekend, I never got to see what it looked like without Goliath, but it looks really nice. Paint looks great, and I kinda liked the green towers to be honest. The only weird thing about the ride at all was that it's so close to Flashback, but I don't expect that ride to be there much longer.

This got me thinking, at SFNE this will be one of he star attractions, at SFMM it was quite far down the line. Maybe the cross country move wasn't that bad of an idea after all. coasterfreak101
The only thing that's beyond me is why, if they could repaint the towers a brand-new color over the old blue, why they couldn't repaint the ride brand new colors over the old green and blue. Either way, really hoping to get up here to (finally!) ride Bizarro and then Boulder Dash on the way back home, and I loved this ride at SFMM so it'll be a great bonus for the trip! I don't think the "Save Deja Vu" people agree with you. But, I think it was a smart move as long as the old Deja Vu location in SFMM gets a ride/coaster that is better than Deja Vu.
