jten11
For me my longest hiatus would be 7 years. 1999-2006
JNoonez
Longest for me since I started riding coasters at age six or so was November 2007-August 2008, about ten months. I had open-heart surgery in April, so I cautiously made my return to coaster riding late this summer (with my cardiologist's and surgeon's blessings, of course). First coaster back from hiatus was S:ROS at SFNE. It was incredible. --Jarrad
astroworldfan1
I think it was a year that I haven't ridden a coaster. I changed that this summer! -Tatum

Even with the doctors' blessings, how nervous/concerned were you during that first ride back?
coasterdude5
Since becoming a true enthusiast? It was from October 13, 2007 to August 31, 2008. (I almost didn't get to ride any this year!)
FLIPDUDE
For me it's 5 years. My first coaster was when I was 3 years old. Since then I LOVED rollercoasters and wanted to ride the big ones at my home parks desperately. But they had an age limit of 8, and the one I rode when Iw as 3 got removed. Only after I grew up and was finally old enough to ride I found out that the signs says that kids below the age of eight can ride with an adult. D'oh! GoodOleComet
It's been a year. I usually go to Six Flags New England to get on Superman, the Cyclone and the Thunderbolt as many times as I can in one day. Not this summer. I worked too much and by the time I started enjoying my summer it was the end of August.
monsterfan99
Before last month, it was almost 6 years for me from my visit to Holiday World in 2002 and last month to Six Flag Great America. Now that I live 15 minutes from Great America, my interest in coasters in no longer limited to books and the internet.
Dietcokevan
This is sad, I've lived no more than 10 minutes for SFMM all my life, and I went 9 years with riding a single coaster!
MixedDrink
About 3 years, When I was about 8 my first coaster was Tree Topper at Upper Clements park, then I rode Tomb Raider 3 years later when I was 11.
PKI Jizzman
I have to cope with with 6 months every year! (with the exception of last year with the Aussie trip) But yeah, KI closes November 1st, and re opens April usually 20th...ish. The longest time was probably around 7-8 months. Gotta have my fix man! -JZ
Scaparri
Since becoming a junky, my longest hiatus was about 11 months, from June of one year until May of the next. Fortunately, long breaks such as that one ended once I turned 16.
AllenA07
With school and not having much money I can have some pretty long breaks. I endured a nearly 2 year gap between coasters recently. Worst yet the final coaster I went on before the two years was a Boomerang. As of right now it's been about 6 months since my last coaster. PhantomNick
^Well, at least that hiatus from coaster riding was well worth it, as I must say that KidTurns looks absolutely adorable! At some point I'd love to meet the whole Alvey crew! For me, the longest break I've had from coaster riding is about 1 year, for an offseason. Typically, I don't necessarily head right to a park when they open up in early May.

Swimace
Since I became a coaster enthusiast I would say probably somewhere between 10 months to a year. Fortunately that stopped when I graduated high school and gained more flexibility and independence in my schedule.

Speeddeamon128
During the season my longest time without riding a coaster was in 2007 & it was 4 weeks! From the last day of the season until opening day of the next season 6 months 2005-2006! I'm stuck in the off-season until March & HATE it For the 2009 season I am going to try & hit a park every week. I have 5 parks within a 2 hour radius & Clementon Park which I can literally ride my bike to so this shouldn't be a problem & 3 season passes
downunder
I last rode a coaster in August 2008, and won't ride another one until June 2009. As a semi enthusiast, I didn't ride a coaster between 1994 and 2001. I also didn't ride a coaster once in 6 years of high school.
spaceace12
Age zero to age 24 (I was a chicken)(supposedly I rode a coaster when I was a kid in Kings Island, don't remember it). August 2nd 2008 to current.
