haux
I can't recall a roller coaster having the first drop built before the lift hill.
MixedDrink
^ I don't think that's what she means. I think it has something to do with crane lifting ?
coolhandluke
^That didn't sound like a response to anyone, more like an observation about the picture. The first drop is built, the lift isn't. Speaking of, that is some sexy twistage on the drop. GCIs look so sweet (not even mentioning the ride they provide).
CP_RULES
I can't recall a roller coaster having the first drop built before the lift hill. Almost every GCI is built that way, they did Evel Knievel that way.
Jive
The latest WoF blog entry shows them topping Prowler off. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/index.cfm?year=2008&month=11&day=25 There are also some new shots in the gallery. http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_dire...&maxRow=
Thelegendarymatthew
I can't recall a roller coaster having the first drop built before the lift hill. Theres two woodies at kennywood, you should check out there pre-lifts. I honestly can't wait until the ride is finished, I still like the name. In fact its on of my top 10 favorite ride names. -Matthew.K

Jive
Another update from the park. http://www.worldsoffun.com/public/news/blog/ http://prowler.worldsoffun.com/public/latest/index.cfm?gallery_directory=construction&startRow=136&maxRow=15 Snow makes it better. GoldRusheROCKS
Man... I know I said I never want to return to MO but seeing this is making that tough. That and how there's most likely a PSC meet in STL in May... meh.
Jds03
My first impressions of this ride was that it was going to be a spin-off of Renegade, but these pictures really prove this ride may have the most unique layout of a GCI yet! It really seems as if they are starting to expand off of some of the Gravity Groups designs, Because these pictures, to me, really resembled parts of the Voyage and Ravine Flyer II. I don't know if anyone else feels this way.

SharkTums
^^ Yeah, I've been on quite a few GCI and GG creations and they are very different. Looking at the pix of this it reminds me more of a Thunderhead type GCI ride then any GG Woodie. If anything don't you think it's the other way around and GG is expanding off of the basic GCI principles? Since the majority of the CCI Coasters all died or went to hell and the GCI ones all kept up really nice. I think GG is trying to do something in the middle of those. The Alex
So basically, SharkTums means that Gravity Group is the equivalent of Woodie Purgatory.

Yeah, but its not like the original GCI designs on coasters like Roar and Wildcat, the new coasters are much more unique and in my opinion(no offense to your old work) better. They now have some awesome airtime, speed, and amazing layouts.
Evan1127
Our inspirations come from less obvious places. For example, the plan view of Troy looks like Jay Leno's face. Prowler was a failed attempt to spell "Jeff" in cursive with roller coaster track. And wait till you see what Magic Mountain's plan view resembles... DiSab
^That is simply amazing. I always wondered how you guys thought up these knotted designs.
DBru
^^Maybe I didn't get the joke, but if you are serious, that is an INCREDIBLY awesome way to brainstorm!
DiSab
I'm pretty sure it's a joke, but you never know. I want to see Terminator's inspiration, though. Hell, I don't even recall seeing any layout plans for it - have they been released yet?
ArrowHater
The second drop is coming up slowly. The decend from that looks like it'll have an insane moment of airtime.
Shavethewhales
Damn snow, progress has screeched to a halt over the last few days. The trains are almost done though -> http://www.greatcoastersinterns.com/photos.php Simple designs, but that's OK. The lead cars should be cool. DiSab
I really like the colors for the trains. Agreed, the leads should look really nice rolling through the woods.
