MASH80554077
Why do all japanese coasters have full catwalks? I thought it was only TOGO but when I saw Steel Dragon 2000 had them so I figured it was required by japanese law or something... Anyway, why dont they just put valleying platforms at the low points? I think they make the coasters look ugly and sorta awkward. Anywany, can anyone talk about this?
Hurricane
It is due to the building codes in regards to earthquakes I belive... They have to have all areas of the track accessible for evacuations. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong though.
MASH80554077
I supposse that sounds plausible, but if theres and earthquake, won't thw bigger problem be picking up the pieces of the coaster since anything big enough to interupt the coasters circuit could problably take down the coaster? ebl
It's Japan. They're just...different... Seriously, my guess is that it's for maintenance and structural evaluations. Eric
Thelegendarymatthew
I feel bad for the people who inspect Steel Dragon 2000. They have to walk a lot of track, some of it has no rails, and some of it seems too steep. They should just have escalator's. That outta be fun a moving stair coaster

Rct3man777
You know something? I've always wondered why Japanese coasters always have the F***ING HUGE turns and INSANLEY LONG peices of straight track???
MASH80554077
You mean like coasters built by japanese companys like TOGO or just coasters built in japan?
Rct3man777
Well every coaster in Japan I've seen has those features.

So as much of a task as it would be to inspect SD2K, it's not like they're going to be doing it daily.
coastb2
Why does almost every jet coaster have straight sections and really gentle ramps? It makes the ride so boring and forceless.
coastercrazed49
^Then why do you build so many of them in No Limits?
