spaceace12
Let head to the stadium, this first set is from my small camera. the patented big mike style self pic. I will upload more later tomorrow from my big camera. The field. 2006 Superbowl Champions....2007 AFC south champs....we lost to the Chargers in the last game at the RCA dome. It sucked, but I was at the last game at the dome and got paid for it. I have no idea what this is...move on. a big ass fan. http://www.bigassfans.com/ huge replay screens.....i mean huge. big mike style self photo. Inside the stadium. Much better seating. At the RCA dome, the seats were so small and the capacity was small also. Though it was loud, so loud we were always accused of cheating by cheaters. Monster trucks, because everyone loves them. I might go to the monster truck show in Indy next Jan. because I haven't been to one in a while. if you think I have a lot of lucas oil signs now, just wait to get to my big camera photos. Nothing to see here, move on. The Sprinter Chassis are so nice. Of course other stations were there. I wish my station would get a sat/microwave truck like WTHR has. News Media was there. WISH tv, the sister station to my station in TH. Lucas Oil is so big, I have to be far away to get a full view. Victory Field, home of the Indianapolis Indians, of which I have never been to a game. Might have to one of these days. Soon the power to the fans keeping the dome up will be turned off and the dome will fall! Fun Fact, Tom Brady once came into the RCA dome and led the patriots to a huge lead in a great big game only to see the better Peyton Manning outplay the patriots in the second half and beat them Pats and go on to win the Superbowl....and I was there. More buildings RCA dome, soon to be demolished for convention center space I believe also. Wow, this stadium is so nice and big, inside and out. Free Red Bull, though not a drinker of the product, I thought red bull gives you wings, shouldn't the Red Bull car have wings....

This is where the Pacers try to play....I forget the name since I never been in it. Maybe this was my new desktop. The field. Again, this is nothing....or soon to be. Doubt it will be open much during the season since it is Indiana. horse shoe in the stands. close up of the replay tvs. this is just with 20k in the stadium, wonder what it will be like with the 60k plus during games. Coastersnsuch on a fast mower. Can't wait until he surprises everyone and is better than ever this year. another band. atv signed by Tony Dungy. my new desktop. end of the seat rows. I can't tell who plays here. one of the big replay tvs. like the the themed old time places to buy food. Go Peyton. a nice car, in the Chevy concourse area. There is 4 seperate entrances. One is HH Gregg, one is Huntington Bank, another is Lucas Oil, and I forget the other. looks like a escalator at first, but it is just structure. the loudest player on the team. band in a big horseshoe. cathyJ
Great pics !!!! Â Not sure exactly how true this is but I believe Indianapolis a few years back was in the running to host the 2008 Democratic National Convention and were planning on using the new Colts stadium as the site of that convention. Of course Denver ended up getting it. Not sure why Indy lost out unless it could be the lack of suburbs needed to help pay for convention security ( like what is being done in Denver ) since Indy annexed a bunch of their suberbs over the years into their city. had they not Indianapolis would be a far smaller city than it is today. Â Then there is the "Focus on the Family" story. The Colorado-based religious group who was rumored to pressue the democrats on having their convention in Denver. That I don't believe at all !! Focus on the Family is and has always favored the republicans and I have heard the group isn't exactly fond of Denver. Â The same group for that matter isn't a fan of Indianapolis either. There is a reason as to why they don't like Denver and Indianapolis but because of the nature of that reason its best not to mention it on this site. Â Lets just say it has to do with those two cities politics and "morals" they feel lack of.
chmilo24
Want to hear a funny story, in 2006, the 6th seeded Steelers came to RCA and beat the Colts 21 to 18 to become the first #6 seed to beat the #1 seed in history, and also win the Super Bowl. GO PITTSBURGH!!! Â --Chris
USCoaster
Great pics. I take it the roof of the Lucas Oil Stadium opens too? From the exterior pics, it looks like the trusses act as tracks for the center section of roof. Â My favorite part of the stadium has to be the Big Ass Fans!!! I love them. bgeguy
Nice pictures! Â From the TV news geek in me, I love those ENG van/truck pictures. WISH is a Lin station and WRTV is McGraw-Hill, right?

^ Yes, WISH and my station are owned by LIN Tv who suck. 6 paid holidays, 5 years to get a 3rd week of vacation, no paid holidays, and no holiday bonuses like I used to get under Emmis. WRTV is one station I wouldn't mind doing what I do at my station because both places are union and provide freelance jobs.

coastercrazed49
Cool pictures of the Zoo and the Stadium. Lucas Oil Stadium does look a lot nicer then the RCA Dome. What is the seating capacity of it? I wonder how big it will look once the new Cowboys Stadium is finished. Its a cool stadium, but go Patriots! Lets make it 18-0 this year. mcjaco
When Peyton Manning wins as many Superbowls as Tom Brady, then I'll consider him better. Â Until then. Not so much.
bigstevet07
I have to agree. Also when Peyton doesn't throw the rest of his team under the bus when they lose a playoff game I might consider it. I can't stand the Patriots, but right now Brady>Manning.

BeemerBoy
Real men play football outside. Amen. Â Â Also, what are they....2006 World Champions, or Super Bowl Champions? Seriously, would somebody make up their minds on that. The NFL is ready to b*tchslap anyone who illegally advertises the trademarked and patented name "Super Bowl" during the lead up to it, however a team wins it, and they print banners up as "World Champs?" Then why all the fuss about the name Super Bowl? When a team wins the Stanley Cup, they don't call themselves World Ice Hockey Champs, do they? You don't win the World Championship of MLB do you? Same with the NBA. You're either Stanley Cup, World Series, NBA, or Super Bowl Champions.......PERIOD. Â End Rant.
coaster05
Brady>Manning because he hasn't lost HOME playoff games 2 of the last 3 years. Â BTW its Conseco Fieldhouse where the Pacers Play and for years when the RCA dome was empty and the Colts were the laughingstock of the NFL people were watching the Pacers and Reggie Miller. Â Even though I like the Colts I despise bandwagon fans, or people who put down other teams just to make them seem better.
spaceace12
Lucas Oil Stadium does look a lot nicer then the RCA Dome. What is the seating capacity of it? Â I was in RCA dome quite a few times, once as a spectator and I can say, the seats are much nicer, wider and softer. The capacity is 63k. And Lucas Oil Stadium can be outdoors, just got to open the roof. I wouldn't mind a open air stadium, but I would hate to work it on days when it is snowing or raining because coiling cables in the rain and snow sucks. I have done it a few times when I work with CBS Sports. Â And for any of you that use Safari on windows Vista, how come some photos don't show up? So calling them world champions makes more sense then other sports that are common over seas. Â And no one in Canada is going to object, as the CFL is a laughing stock. It's a common rumor that the CFL folding will give Toronto a shot at an NFL team. Although a slim shot at that.
CoastersNSich
At the end of the tours, visitors had two locker room options: go inside the visitors locker room, or pass by the Colts locker room... Inside the Colts locker room.
Jew
Just what we need...another new NFL stadium where it will only cost $84 for to have a seat where you can actually see the field. Â I'll stick to college football.
Scaparri
I can say, the seats are much nicer, wider and softer. The capacity is 63k.  That's good to hear. The seats at the Dome were really my only complaint. They are absolutely horrible; rock hard, way too small, with a terrible contour.  Just what we need...another new NFL stadium where it will only cost $84 for to have a seat where you can actually see the field. I'll stick to college football.  Ditto.
