East Coast(er) Trip!

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! Yeah, description says it all: 8 Parks,

(SFGAM, MIA, CP, KI, HP, DP, KD, BGE) 70+ Credits, and a whole lotta pics!

I got the Avalanche credit! What a great coaster. Kinda in an odd place, but still I'll take it! Small cars, exciting layout, lots of airtime, packs a real punch! I think with this trip I'll do a rating system for all the coasters, so yeah here are pics of it and a rating!

From the parking lot

The lift is really quick! Probably only takes 15-20 seconds!

The hills are very smooth and you get great airtime on them, but the turns are pretty aggressive/rough.

Entrance/Exit

I actually rode the log flume when I was about 7 or 8 and plus I didn't want to get wet so I opted out on it today.

Great ride in the front & back!

Most if not all of the lift.

My dad took this one while I was on, and he missed the train, but I like the shot!

Weee! Great ride

Imagine if those were 90's. . .

It really is a beautiful coaster!

Lotsa airtime hills!

Log Flume!

Hey I had to do one. . . :o

Well that's just about it!

Six Flags Great America:

Well, we got there early, entered the park, and right off the bat, it was nuts everywhere. Later in the day, we found out that that had been the busiest day of the season. My dad went to get us flashpasses (IF YOU GO GET THESE! They are an extreme timesaver) and I went to the Dark Knight. I waited about 15 minutes for it, and got in. I didn't really enjoy it. It had 1 pop of good air, and the rest was cheesy theming, bad music, and stupidity. After that, I decided to get Rajin Cajun out of the way, so I rode that. One person sitting on one side makes it spin a LOT! After that, my dad & I went to V2. It had way better theming than Steel Venom, but wasn't as good of a ride. If we had V2's station & theming with Steel Venom's ride, it'd be awesome. After V2 we used our flashpass for Batman. I went on Batman back in 2003 I believe at SFMM, and it got me sick. This one was the exact opposite. I loved it! My dad tossed his cookies so he went back to the car. After that I reserved Iron Wolf, and got on that after a 2 minute wait with flashpass as opposed to 30 minutes. Iron wolf was an okay ride. It was good, but a bit too rough for a stand up & steel in my opinion. After that, I went over to American Eagle. I got on the blue train with nearly no wait. In conclusion, I LOVED IT. It was smooth, it was fast, it was gigantic, and it packed a punch! I couldn't ask for a better coaster. Plus the ride ops were great & very funny! After that, I went over and rode Giant Drop. A bit better then Power Tower, but not as fun. I can't wait to ride Drop Zone Friday. . . After that we went back to Demon. Your generic Arrow. I liked it! Smooth & fun. After that, I went on the one, the only, Raging Bull. I loved that, and currently, that's my favorite coaster! (I'm going to CP tomorrow through Thursday, so I'm sure that'll change) I got back row, and had a blast! After that, I rode Viper, and that was smooth & fun as well. After Viper, I went over to ride Superman with the flashpass, and only had to wait 5 minutes as opposed to 3 hours. I rode that, and loved it too! After Superman, I rode Raging Bull, American Eagle, and Superman again. It was a great day, and everything was just amazing. I would like to compliment Six Flags Great America on their enthusiasm with operating their rides, and their quickness and efficiency. I loved the park, and would love to go back some day.

On with the pics!

An abnormally large black lady went on the ride, and as soon as it went into the flying position she loudly yelled "AW HELL NO!". In response, everyone laughed and joked about it. When getting back into the station, there was a sudden silence which was filled with the same women yelling "Ouch muh tits hurt! Hot damn this bitch is *some word no one could understand*" Good times

Q-Bot. You buy it for however many people you have, and when it's time, it'll alert you. You can't come early to the ride, but you can come late. You aren't able to do every ride, but it's all the major ones, and all the ones I wanted to hit. It's 100% worth the value. We saved about 8 hours total of waiting in line or more.

I'm glad you liked good old Iron Wolf.

And the Eagle has been running very well this week.

I was just there this morning and hopped on the Eagle front row no wait and i got the best air i have ever had on it and it was smoother than usual.

And the Q bots are the best thing ever!

  • 2 weeks later...

Michigan's Adventure is kind of a weird park in my opinion. In a way it reminded me of a larger Wild West World on the coaster/flat side. The waterpark was great, and overall it was a fun day!

I started out on Shivering Timbers, and thought that was alright. It was a tad bumpy and rough but it was still enjoyable. After that, we headed to Wolverine Wildcat (I think that's the name. . . ) and that was fun! Not bumpy or rough at all! I loved the double up too. After that, I can't really remember what the order was, but I know I got every single coaster in! (Yes even Big Dipper - The kiddie coaster)

Thunderhawk was great! I loved every second of it. Very smooth, comfortable, and it looked amazing as well. Corkscrew was very short and sorta pointless. Didn't like that very much. Big Dipper, the kiddie coaster, was jerky, but had a very nice pop of air right before the end. Zach's Zoomers was an amazing coaster. I know this is gonna sound really stupid and lame, but it's seriously an awesome Jr. Woodie! I loved it! Smooth, fast, exciting, and airtime too! I loved it more then shivering timbers even! Mad Mouse was fun, same as Valleyfair's except slower. I think that's all the coasters. . .

Anyways yeah here's the funny/lucky part of the TR. Leaving the park, we walked by a fence where I saw Big Dipper (the kiddie coaster). Knowing that I wanted to get every coaster in the park my dad said "Did you get that one?" I glanced over and hit myself in the head for missing it! I went back into guest relations to get another ticket quickly, where I realized that I had lost my season pass! See kids, credit whoring isn't that bad of a thing . I got a $10 replacement, and yeah I'd like to thank Troy from Michigan's Adventure's Guest Relations dept. for putting up with everything! I ended up getting Big Dipper though, so that's all that is important.

Next up, Michigan's Adventure!

This park is actually sorta big despite it's small presence.

It actually kind of reminded me of Valleyfair in a way.

There's Wolverine Wildcat. I really loved it! It was smooth for the most part, fast, and it had a double up!

Shivering Timbers. I can't honestly say that I liked this coaster that much. It had a great layout, and I would LOVE to see it as an Intamin Prefab, but I dunno it was just a tad too aggressive and unenjoyable.

Very photogenic ride though.

Nice signage.

Corkscrew. This coaster was not worth the 30 minutes I waited for it. It was short, boring, and really stupid actually. I hated it.

The park had a tornado though so I spose that makes up for the lack of coasters.

Thunderhawk!

Copy cats.

Again. . . !

Onto this little warlock. I really loved Thunderhawk. It was really smooth for an SLC. It was fast, exciting, and fun! I got front row too which was cool.

Woosh!

Headchopper really.

I loved the G's on this part of the ride.

Up the lift.

I really hope they do connect this path later in the year. It's a pain if you're at Shivering Timbers and you wanna ride Grand Rapids, you have to walk from one part of the U to the other.

So photogenic!

Corkscrewyou. I hate this ride! That's it for the photos for Michigan's Adventure. I went to the waterpark with my dad during the day and it was great. I loved it! Their speed slides are sorta painful though. Other than that I loved the park! Also Big Dipper (Kiddie coaster). . . RULES!

Cedar Point!

Wow. What a great park. We got there around 1 PM Tuesday, and I had my dad drop me off at the gates. As soon as I got in, I had the biggest smile on my face. Cedar Point - Greatest place on earth. I first headed to Raptor to find an hour and a half line, so I waited! I ended up getting middle right seat and loved it! The whole layout is smooth, flowing, and amazingly fun! After that, in my quest to get all coasters excluding the ones I can't ride, I headed to Iron Dragon and Wildcat. Loved both, but Iron Dragon is pretty boring. Wildcat looked pretty jerky, but was one of the smoothest and most enjoyable coasters like that I've ever been on! After Wildcat, I headed to the Holy Grail. Millennium Force. Waited about 2 hours for that, and then got front seat. I was actually intimidated by the first drop. That rarely happens with me so that was kinda weird! I loved every second of MF. The airtime, the curves, the hills, everything. Pure awesomeness. After MF I can't remember what I did in order but it was a blur of everything, and I ended up getting every coaster excluding Jr. Gemni and Woodstock's Express. I loved Cedar Point, but I think I still like Valleyfair better.

Cedar Point Pics!:

On the road to Cedar Point. It's really in the middle of nowhere haha.

Once we pulled into Sandusky, we stopped at a haunted house named Ghostly Manor. If you go to CP, I HIGHLY recommend going to this! It was worth the 11 bucks!

Woohoo! I'm going!

YAY! Cedar Point!

Raptor!

This is one of the very fun parts of Raptor. I think it's my favorite B&M Invert!

Liftage.

I love waiting in lines at CP.

Fun stuff.

Blue Streak! You're next.

Signage.

Looks fake almost!

Blue Streak was fun, but I like High Roller better!

Wildcat was awesome! It looks like it's gonna be your generic fair rough coaster, but it's amazingly smooth & fun!

Iron Dragon (Or as my dad called it, Iron Maiden)

Woosh!

I loved Mantis. Until the MCBR. . .

Clank clank clank.

The line was interesting, but the ride was cool.

Power Tower was really fun!

Dragster!

It really flies down those drops.

Mantis had an hour line so I opted out for the first day.

Loop De Loop.

And finally, the holy grail of coasters. . . Millennium Force.

Some lady fell asleep reading on the sign. Stupid CP hobos.

Doesn't look to bad. . .

I think this one looks funny.

Force(ful)

It's kinda a required shot.

So is this one.

Station.

So I waited 2 hours for a line like this? Why don't they let more people in! Oh wait. . . *Looks at Dragster*

Up the lift! This is truly an amazing coaster.

Yay Maverick!

Magnum. I don't like you.

WT through the trees.

Launch!

Corkscrew.

Yay! I love this picture.

I love the station.

Signage.

Demon Drop. One of my favorite flat rides of all time.

Ferris Wheel!

Weeeeeee.

Wicked Twister was really cool!

Yep.

Twisty.

Draggie.

Dragster at Sunset!

That's where I spent my evening.

Goodnight CP! See you in the morning!

First off, Maverick!

Horseshoe Rolls.

Trainage.

Wee! Maverick was fun. Nothing amazing or over the top, but just really fun!

First in line for Mantis!

Weeee!

Cedar Creek Mine Ride was. . . Interesting.

No worries. I did ride Skyscraper. Still running smoothly. I miss you.

I LOVE DISASTER TRANSPORT!

Next up, All Wheels Xtreme!

Great Show!

Almost got it, but opted for Hydra & Apollo Statix Trains instead.

Eeek.

Bye Breakers Express!

Next up, KI!
